Ugh, I knew I was in for trouble when it began with the tagline "the events are true...yadda yadda...". They never do, they're loosely based on the Mason murders (supposedly), and the end credits make sure to remind you "the characters wherein are fictitious, any relation...coincidental...". Just don't pretend this shit actually happened ok?

So, this is the first movie this director/writer got to work on, and he reportedly needed books to help him through the experience. Seems like he just took an amalgam of movies over the last 20 years and put it on paper. It starts out decently enough, but there was no point to alot of what went on, and unlike other horror movies, when you're smarter than the characters you tend to enjoy what you're watching anyway because it's tongue-in-cheek. This was dreadfully serious and in the end, I just feel nothing "special" happened.
Sorry, Miller.

Oh, and it seems they want to turn it into a franchise - they've gotten some French music video director to go with the sequel. Joy.

Not so much funny, but definitely interesting in its portrayal of unionized workers and their management in the late 50's. We still think to this day that unionized workers are bit on the slack side; and this movie does nothing to change our mind as workers strike because of a 'breach of contract' with management. Really, its just a reaction because it was proven a normal, unskilled worker with just days of experience proved he could do double/triple the work in half the time. And he wasn't even trying.

Never seen Terry-Thomas before; notable to me since the Marvel Captain Britain villain James Jaspers is based off of him...hmmmmmmm

Quite possibly my most favorite movie. EVER. I love the fact it crosses over into Family Matters.
