| I am a self-confessed movie nerd. My favourite genres are giallo films, spaghetti westerns, Hammer Horror and Godzilla movies but I also like musicals and Disney movies! I try to avoid watching anything that has the following actors/actresses in it: Hugh Grant, Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman, Keira Knightley, Julia Roberts, Richard Gere, Jim Carrey, Madonna and anyone from Friends. The first film I ever saw at the cinema was Walt Disney's Robin Hood and this is still one of my favourite films. One of my fondest cinematic memories was seeing Steven Spielberg's Jaws on the big screen. You could feel the tension and sense of fear throughout the whole movie theatre, especially whenever John Williams' menacing theme music kicked in! I have met some of my movie heroes including the actor Rutger Hauer, Hammer horror heroine and Bond girl Caroline Munro, legendary horror director George A. Romero and special fx make-up wizard Tom Savini. |
