My favorite japanese movie. Though I haven't seen many.
But you can't help but to fall in love with the music or the characters. I've seen the anime az well az this movie. And sure I compeared it to eachother... but even so it was really good. I cried. I laughed. And I was sucked in az if I myself was there...
And just to think that Mika Nakashima. The singer. Had only been in one movie before this one. And before that she guest stared in "Matthew's Best Hit TV" as herself. But even so, with little acting experience. She did an excellent job. And her singing in this matter, is wonderful.
But it has always been so... to you who likes jpop and jrock. I urge you to check her out. Mika Nakashima has a great vocie, in my opinion. It's all good.
Exremely moving. The story just catches you and graps on... and then wont let go until you've seen every part of it.
Tony Jaa or Panom Worawit that is in fact his birth name. Does a wonderfull job in this movie. You just can't help but to like him. And if it's not for his acting then it's for his martial arts. The moves he does in the movie are outstanding...
There's this scene. I think it's about 15-20 min or so... where the camera angle doesn't change! It's the longest take I've ever seen in one angle. Coz normally a movie have more then one camera shorting and during some parts they change the angle so that the viewers will see better. But in that scene, in this movie.. the cameraman follows and moves along so that the angle changes but it's the same person filming. It's so great that you don't really see it the first time.
Haha, yeah what can I say? Johnny owns this movie... it's all him!
I'm waiting untill the third and last movie finally get avalible in the movies. I'll be the first one to buy a ticket to the premiere :) Me and my friend. Coz Pirates is a wonderful experience of a movie. If you don't like it or haven's seen it yet. Shame on you!!
No one can say that they hate Bette Middler. NO one. You either love her or you don't really care that much. But you just can't hate her.
Coz her acting in this movie. Beaches is SO good and SO moving you cry everytime you watch it. At least I do.
And her singing is.... indespribeble! It's so good and so lovely. I'm thankful my mum hase one of her albums coz I listen to it sometimes. Not always but sometimes.
Oh and the story is so sad but great. You'll love it. Watch it. Just do it coz it's worth every minute.
A very good movie from Hayao Miyazaki. In my oppinion the best even. Sure it's ending isn't really clear to me coz it ends just so suddenlly. But still you can't help but to loves or like this movie. Even if your not into anime at all. You REALLY should just see it. It's truly a masterpise and really really cute.
OH, and the music. Joe Hisaishi has really outdone himself. I have the whole album of Spirited Away and also some other of his music. He is a true artist. (...) Listen to him , if you've never heard him. Or watch the movie and you'll now what I mean. Coz when you hear his music, you get swept away along with it... to a wonderful fantasy world that's yours and yours only!!
Good. Loved the fact that it's a women who's the hero or in this case heroine.
Aya Ueto play the part of Azumi. And she really knews what she's doing. There is no doubt in her aperence of acting for this role. She commits and follows threw until the end. OH and the end is really unexpected. At least some of it is...
And I know that Hiroki Narimiya doen's have THAT big of a role in the movie. But you can't help but notess him. His what I like to call "Hottie overload!" :P And I'm very sadend that he doen't make it to the end...
When it comes to the slauther in the movie it's done in a nice and friendly sort of way. But of course I'm compreaing it to Kill Bill, where they had no thought in the matter of making the blood realistic. Which in the movie, Azumi... they did. Sure there are some moments that could never happen, ex. when your head gets shopped off, you don't exactually continue screaming! :P But even so the movie was out of the ordinary. Can't wait to see the second. Azumi 2: Dead or Love.
