It's an indy.. but, I like them..

The title really has nothing to do with the movie.. there is a blurb at the very end that mentions the name.. but the plot really doesn't tie in to that.. The acting was good.. some characters seemed to be just thrown in.. (such as Jenny Schimizu's character) This is another movie to bring out my inner riot grrl.. and the very brief glimpse of Clea Duvall was another bonus... she's one of my favorites.. even just a few seconds is excellent..

well.. I'd love to give this full stars.. but there were a few small flaws.. I LOVE the movie.. and as soon as it is out on DVD I am buying it.. I did feel that Barrymore's charactar was overkill.. almost like an afterthought.. I love her work.. I think she is amazing as an actress and her directing seemed to be perfect.. I just felt like the movie would have lost nothing by not having that character in it..

As of yet I have not watched a movie with Ellen Page that I did not like.. one confused me (The Tracey Fragments).. but I still watched until the end.. Whatever "IT" is.. she seems to have it.. but the underdog "it".. not the Grace Kelly "it"..

this is not one to recommend to EVERYONE.. but those that are drawn to it....will like it.. (and the soundtrack is excellent.. )

This one brought my 90's riot grrl out a little I think...

This is a gorgeous piece of film making.. Visually, emotionally, mentally.. Collaboration with a man suited to darker fantasy and the creators of Labrynth and Dark Crystal.. it's a stunning job.. and it reminds me of what I originally loved about watching movies.. (and what I loved about writing as well) I believe that EVERYONE should see this movie.. NOOO.. I don't want to be a waiter.. lol.. (a bit random.. but it popped into my head)
