It's really sad that I've had to add this part to my profile. I'm not saying it to be a snob, but PLEASE.
I AM single and QUITE HAPPY to be single, so please don't message me with your PM or email on the hopes that we can become "good friends" because you "really really like me". I will NOT accept your invitation. Also those that 'Teenspeak' seriously, your not still doing that are you?! That went out of fashion back in 1999 and if its something right through your profile, then don't expect to be added back. Im not doing this to be mean or whatever, but common people! I like making new friends and meeting people, just not those who can't string a sentance together or are ready to propose to me within the hour. ------------------------------------------------- Movies are one of the greatest passions of my often busy and hectic lifestyle. I prefer to steer away from mainstream and love subtitled movies, especially german of middle-eastern. I have a huge love for independant films and think that these are most definately bigger blockbusters than half the crap put out at cinema's these days. I also LOVE my old musicals, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers closely followed by Singing in the Rain being my favorites. |

The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers
PG-13
The Two Towers is my favorite of the three Lord of the Rings, movies. Filled with action, drama, adventure and romance, even a person most seperated from the work of J.R.R Tolkien would find it completely enjoyable. Its not quite as slow- paced as The Fellowship, but that is because the Nine have all seperated and now are taking different paths, each their own journey. It introduces new characters and deals with friendship more than the first and last movie. Its also watchable on its own, not needing the first to see the second.

The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring
PG-13
The excitement that was built around the release of this film was simply amazing. And it was absoloutely fantastic to find a movie that lived up to the expectations of an audience and generated more excitement, even after its release! The most visiually stunning of all three movies and the most innocent, it allows its watchers to become captivated by the innocent world it thrives in until the tragedy of the story is discovered. Transporting you to a world which only ever exsisted in the minds of J.R.R. Tolkien's fans, until now. Beautifully created and exicuted to screen. A true work of art and imagination.

Serenity
PG-13
One of my favorite films to date. A talented and fantastically humour cast and a well thought out script. Filled with sarcastic wit, laughable lines, adventure and best of all, not an alien in sight! Best Sci-Fi movie in YEARS.

The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King
PG-13
Wow. I think that was the word echoing from every persons lips when they saw this film. Not only was it the end of a very long journey for so many people who had been following Peter Jacksons every move as he created these films, but it was a visual feast and a bittersweet farewell to some of the best writing in history. The climax of the story finally at hand, I felt like I'd lost apart of myself when the credits started to roll. Believe it or not, it was the least favorite of the three movies in my opinion. I found the ending to be a little slow, and long winded, but I understand the complete difficulty PJ would have had tying together the paths everyone had chosen while trying to remain as true as possible to the writing of J.R.R Tolkien. A masterful piece of cinema and as a trilogy it will forever have a hold on my heart and fill my life with fond memories.

Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl
PG-13
Firstly, "swash swash buckle buckle"? How can that insinuate anything but adventure and excitement? Not to mention the two male leads are incredibly good looking and talented (one more than the other in my opinion)? I was a fan since I first saw the promo pictures and have been since. Even when the cast included the baby faced Orlando Bloom, whom I am not so fond of, I was totally enthralled by the swagger and humor of Johnny Depp who has given his best performance in current years. Pirates! Adventure! Treasure! Romance! Jack Sparrow! The character has become an icon for the lusty life of a pirate and JD along with him. Definatley one of my favorite movies of all time.

Schindler's List
R
For a long time I couldn't watch this movie. My parents tried to get me to watch it when I was 15, but I couldn't cope with the horror of it all. This movie is VERY real to me and is by far my favorite movie of all time, but not for fan-girl reasons or even just a 'good script' movie, but for the way it makes me FEEL. I feel empty and a loss whenever the credits roll. It ALWAYS makes me think and wonder what I could have, would have done to make things right and always leaves me with a sense of guilt, not on my behalf, but how can someone like Hitler do this? How could someone do this if they were HUMAN? Was his heart that cold? Was his mind that mixed up? Did he have no emotions other than hatered and a lust for power? It's a nightmare, and yet a dream at the same time. Violent and yet Beautiful. The cast couldn't have possibley better and stand out with strong performances. Not for those with a weak heart, or stomach, it is a masterpiece of tragedy and war that all should see and not forget.
