Rest Stop - R not bad. Somewhere I read/heard that this was supposed to be a remake of The Vanishing, which it is definitely not. September 27, 2009

The Unborn - PG-13 meh.. not even an unrated cut can save a lame PG-13 movie. I expected as much from Michael Bay, but I still had hopes for David S. Goyer. September 26, 2009

Shoot 'Em Up - R I don't care what you say, this movie is EPIC!
I was skeptical about Paul Giamatti in an action flick.. but any film where someone can deliver a baby and shoot off its umbilical cord in the middle of a gun fight has to be made of win. Best opening scene ever!!!

Fanboys - PG-13 cute and hilarious movie. I love Kristen Bell!
The fight scenes between the Star Wars fans and the Trekkies is reason enough to see this movie.

Primer - PG-13 very logical approach to time travel, and I like that it doesn't treat the audience like idiots. I'll be interested in seeing this director's future work. September 18, 2009

Invader Zim - Unrated hilarious! I have a soft spot for plots involving world domination. September 17, 2009

Jennifer's Body - R September 14, 2009

Io non ho paura (I'm Not Scared) - R It wasn't bad.. just didn't live up to the hype. September 10, 2009

Derrida - Unrated I had known very little about Derrida when I saw this film and now he is becoming one of my favorite philosophers. September 8, 2009

Sakebi (Retribution) - Unrated the creepy ghost/banshee was amazing! I also loved the interrogation scene. But I don't really know how I feel about the ending.... September 8, 2009

The Rules of Attraction - R I loved the way this film was made, but knowing Bret Easton Ellis I'm guessing plot-wise it makes a way better book than film. September 8, 2009

Sorority Row - R September 7, 2009

The Invasion - PG-13 yeah... I have a crush on Nicole Kidman. September 4, 2009

Bug - R whoa! was not expecting that. August 31, 2009

P2 - R it's like that one episode of Seinfeld meets Psycho!

As a fan of minimalist slasher films, this flick is right up my alley! I wish Alexandre Aja would work on more original screenplays (like this and High Tension) rather than crappy remakes (like The Hills Have Eyes and Mirrors).

Urban Legend - R best part of this movie? Jared fucking Leto! August 30, 2009

Gwai wik (Re-cycle) - R This film had me at the beginning. I loved the ghost story and even the land of the abandoned. But I was very creeped out by the cave of fetuses, wasn't really into the weird Labyrinth-esque journey, and by the end of the film I felt like I had just watched the longest anti-abortion ad ever. August 30, 2009

The St. Francisville Experiment - PG-13 at first I was skeptical of a Blair Witch style documentary of a haunted house in New Orleans.. but it was creepy as hell and a great contemporary take on the classic haunted house tale. I really liked it, but I'm not so sure about the last scene.. could've done without it. August 28, 2009

Oliver Twist - PG-13 I heard a lot of controversy over Polanski doing this film, but I was pretty impressed. but if Polanski decides to remake "Lolita" I don't think I could take it. August 27, 2009

Moon Child - Unrated cool fight scenes and a crazy soundtrack. This film was just way too fricken long and slow for me. August 26, 2009
N/A
The Omega Man - PG VERY loosely based on Matheson's I Am Legend...there were some great scenes and Charlton Heston was pretty amazing, but I still prefer The Last Man on Earth August 23, 2009

Blindness - R this takes "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" to the extreme! August 22, 2009
