Mobsters
by VetFour young men growing up in the 1920's:"Lucky" Luciano (Christian Slater), Meyer Lansky (Patrick Dempsey), "Bugsy" Siegel (Richard Grieco) and Frank Costello (Costas Mandylor) as mobsters. A true story of how these young hoodlums, despite their diverse ethic background, create a bond that leads them to the top of the underworld.
This is an entertaining action flick loosely based on real events. A decent film with a lot of action and good performances.posted 436 days ago -
I recommend you see...Just saw this for the second time, and it's even better than I remembered it. Beautiful mix of drama and comedy, with excellent performances by Laura Linney and Mark Ruffalo as dysfunctional siblings, even if there isn't much of a family resemblance. Linney was nominated for Best Actress in 2000, along with Joan Allen (The Contender) and Ellen Burstyn (Requiem for a Dream). And the Oscar went to......... Julia Roberts for Erin Brockovich! Another of the many atrocities committed by the Academy over the years. But, that was a hard one to swallow.

The Cell
by VetJennifer Lopez is a psychotherapist who must enter the mind of serial killer, Starger, who was abused since childhood. The killer has endured a private hell and Lopez finds herself drawn into it - so that she may rescue his most recent hostage. Vincent D'Onforio plays the twisted killer excellently & Vaughn and Lopez give pretty strong performances also.
This is a very different psychological thriller/crime/horror film with excellent visual effects w/ much of it taking place in the mind of the killer. These may be some of the most magnificent and disturbing visuals you may ever lay eyes on.posted 447 days ago -

Hostel: Part II
by VetI found it to be alot more structured and entertaining than the first. If anything it is definetly worth the watch for the ending. The entire cast brings their best to the table and Eli Roth's grotesque, savagely biting sense of humor hasn't lost it's edge one bit

Doomsday
by VetWas not impressed w/ this film at all. Yet another film that deals with a virus that kills humanity. Absolutely no originality, this was an obvious attempt at ripping off every Post Apocalyptic movie from Mad Max & Escape from New York to Resident Evil. There was a lot of blood and gore, but it didn't seem to add anything to the story.
