Excellent - Freeman and Nicholson made this movie great along with Sean Hayes who had a somewhat small part but did a wonderful job playing Nicholsons asst. This movie had a little bit of everything - One of the best films of the year!

P.S. I Love You

I wasn't expecting that much from this but "P.S. I Love You" was a little bit of everything, providing laughs and tears in equal measures and is thoroughly recommended. It isn't often that a film can cover multiple genres and do them justice. It's unconventional, brilliantly written with beautiful, captivating shots of Ireland - This movie deserves every bit of good praise heaped on it due to terrifically emotive performances from Swank and Butler with it's romantic plot and genuinely amusing scenes.

The Cottage

Slapstick horror is very difficult to pull off, and "The Cottage" does not come close. Evil Dead 2 works. Shaun Of The Dead works. An American Werewolf In London works. Dog Soldiers works. The Cottage doesn't.
The beginning was extremely slow, the gore and bloody violence was pretty convincing, but that for me was part of the problem, none of the characters were that likable to begin with, you don't really care about what happens to them.

Pretty entertaining film about hard-partying dance club DJ Frankie Wilde, whose life comes crashing down when he loses his hearing. Fuelled by Paul Kaye's rip-snorting performance as Frankie. Please keep the Coke Badger away from me!
