the movie backdrop/setting was awesome and well shot, just had a hard time following along - might have been a little too quirky this time around. doesn't hold up to rushmore - but this was a decent watch.

ellen page is brilliant in this, and allison janney had some funny moments (espescially liked the ultrasound scene...) witty dialogue, subdued comedic moments - this was a ton of fun to watch, I think I need to see this again.

definitely gondry-esque, the movie feels like a look into how he approaches film making - the way the sweded shots were composed for certain effects felt straight from gondry's head. felt like a few plot threads weren't tied up, but this was quirky, funny, and enjoyable.

Michel Gondry's a genius. The handheld camera work made me a little nauseous at first, but overall I really enjoyed this romp through Joel's memories and Long Island.

by marythe best movie i have seen in a long time. cannot believe that it has not received the recognition that it deserves.
beautifully shot. wonderfully acted. and eddie vedder did an awesome job with the music! all around wonderful film.you have to see this film...
