Saw - R Gruesomeness at its best. A touch of 7 here, very good none the less. A doctor diagnosed terminally ill decides to torture people he believes have,nt lived worthy lives, some ingenious torture devices and a good story make this a very enjoyable film although not for the squemish. Lakeview Terrace - PG-13 I thought this was quite poor and very predictable. Samuel L. Jackson can,t save this one. February 22, 2009

Changeling - R Good movie based on a true story of a mothers search for her missing child, which unearths police corruption and child murders. Not the happiest movie ever, worth a watch all the same. February 22, 2009

Taken - PG-13 Liam Neeson is surprisingly good as an ex CIA man hunting down the kidnappers of his daughter. Some good action scenes and enjoyable enough considering the weak script and poor directing.Too much crammed into one film, everything happens too fast with no real explanation. Still enjoyable though. February 22, 2009

Twilight - PG-13 January 14, 2009

Pulp Fiction - R One of my all time favourite movies. A lot going on in this one, sharp dialogue, good acting and a return to form for John Travolta. Tarantino at his best. December 21, 2008

The Silence of the Lambs - R an absolute cracker of psychology, suspense, and horror. Anthony Hopkins is brilliant as the psychotic Dr Hannibal Lecter. Jodie foster is equally good as the FBI detective trying to find a killer and using Lecter,s insight into psycopaths. Who,s using who. Absolutely brilliant. December 21, 2008

Click - PG-13 A film full of metaphors, life is short so enjoy it. Adam Sandler plays an architect who who gets the chance to fast forward through the parts of his life he finds tedious. He soons realises hes wished his life away and missed a whole lot of living. Good film. December 21, 2008

The Da Vinci Code - PG-13 A bit dissapointed in this one, had a lot to live up to after the success of the book and came up short. Tried to squeez too much into one movie, the suspense end of it suffered as a consequence. poor directing. December 21, 2008

Batman Begins - PG-13 This is where it all began, how and where Batman came from. a much darker take on the usual more comic waay in which he is portrayed. Christian Bale really makes the role his own. Michael Caine gives a stern upper lip performance as the family butler. Good performances all round, thoroughly enjoyed this one. December 21, 2008

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - PG-13 December 21, 2008

Quantum of Solace - PG-13 Lacking some of the usual bond traits such as gadgets, ongue in cheek humour, cheesy lines. It has some tremomdous action scenes, realistic fight scenes and a much grittier Bond in Daniel Craig. All in all, quite enjoyable. December 6, 2008

Rocky Balboa - PG You have to hand it to Stallone, no one else would have tried to revive the 60 odd year old boxer. He did it and he did it using a good bit of imagination. No one really expects Rocky to beat the world champ but is,nt that half the fun of Rocky films, seeing how much he can take and still come back fighting. You,ll still cheer him on! November 20, 2008

School of Rock - PG-13 A good old fashioned feel good movie. Jack Black does everything wrong for the right reasons in trying to form a rock band. He does whatever is neccessary including impersonating a teacher to fulfill his dream. Very good movie. November 20, 2008

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective - PG-13 Jim Carrey doing what he does best, very enjoyable movie for all the family. November 20, 2008

Death at a Funeral - R An absolutely riotous, laugh out loud film. At a funeral, everything that possibly can go wrong does go wrong in a very "I can relate to that" sort of way. It,s all done in a tasteful manner, well as tasteful as can be considering the subject. I loved it. November 10, 2008

The Matrix - R Amazing story, especially when you consider it could be true? In the not so distant future a computer hacker discovers the world we November 6, 2008

The Ring - PG-13 One to keep you up all night. Good story, good suspense, very atmospheric to the point of feeling very uneasy watching it.Don,t watch it on your own! November 6, 2008

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - PG As always Johnny Depp brings his own style and uniqueness to a film. He plays a wonderfully eccentric and slightly dark chocolate factory owner who allows some kids visit his factory after winning tickets in bars of chocolate. The result is a wonderfully colourful, imaginitive and sometimes surreal tour of his factory, where we see the different personalities of the kids coming to the surface. November 6, 2008

Rocky - PG A bit dated but in it,s day quite a cool movie. C,mon who did,nt wanna see Rocky win.The acting was a bit lame but there was something very likeable about Rocky all the same. Worth a watch I reckon. November 6, 2008

Enter the Dragon - R One of the first martial arts films I seen, and still one of if not the best.Martial arts films are for showcasing martial arts and not neccessarily dependant on a good story. This has a pretty good story, good martial arts and most of all a martial artist who really is the real deal. October 30, 2008

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - PG-13 Lacked some of the magic of previous Indy films. Just a money making excercise, a bit dissapointing. October 30, 2008
