What Happens in Vegas What Happens in Vegas
    by ~Lissa~
Ok so I finally watched this movie. Heard some good things about it from friends but not so good reviews here on flixster.
I missed the first 15 minutes but I don't think I missed much.
It was about Cameron Diaz who got dumped by a guy that thought she was too driven, I assume since she was a stock broker. Then there is Ashton Kutcher as the fun guy who gets fired by his dad and doesn't know how to clean, anything!
They hook up in Vegas and get drunk which leads to the thing we've all done, get married! He ends up putting her quarter in a machine and wins three million. Yeah like that ever happens! But wait, this is just a movie.
I'm glad I watched this on tv instead of paying for it in a theater. So not worth it, but it was good to watch when nothing else was on.
Check it out if her big mouth doesn't scare you!

Good Woody Allen movie. You wouldn't really know it was his when it first starts because he isn't in it. You can totally tell that it is his when they start talking.
I enjoyed this movie except I thought the voice-over was weird. I mean who was it? I wonder if it would have better if it was one of them, but then how would they know everything...
I heard a lot of great reviews before I saw this and I was already wanting to see it when it first came out, but I must admit when it ended, we both said "that's it?"
I liked Javier Bardem's slow way of talking combined with Penelope Cruz's quick spurts of spanish. I find I'm enjoying her more in spanish speaking roles.
Good movie to watch even if you aren't a Woody Allen fan.

I had wanted to see this movie because I read about all the publicity surrounding Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman during filming. About how hot it was and her whole pregnancy. Who better to take care of her than Wolverine though right?
I put off watching this film because it seemed like any other romantic drama and I couldn't be bothered.
To my surprise it wasn't and this tough gal actually shed a tear.
It reminded me of Rabbit-Proof Fence.
His little innocent voice telling the story made it more heartfelt.
Lots of action and emotion but I have to say I hated the ending.
Without ruining it, please someone who has seen it, tell me why?

I am officially a Pedro Almodóvar fan after watching this great movie!

    Update:

I just watched this movie again and I'm appalled at myself that I only wrote that one sentence above!
I loved this movie! Penelope Cruz was perfect, swooping in when her daughter needed her, again when the film crew arrived, and again when she reunited with her mother.
The story flowed along nicely and it was entertaining to watch what would happen next.
I also enjoyed that the subtitles flew by so fast you almost forgot that you were reading them.
A definite must see if you want to watch a good movie and you aren't afraid of subtitles!

This was a funny but sad movie because I could relate. I couldn't relate so much as Gigi since I've never thrown myself out there like she did, it was funny when she made that random guy uncomfortable.
It was totally relatable and by the laughs around me, the audience was feeling the same. We all were shocked when we saw him there in that scene which I won't mention if you haven't seen it but when you do, you'll know what I'm talking about.
I liked this movie because it was real, about real feelings that if you've felt them you won't feel so bad knowing we felt the same.
This was a total chick flick but I hope you and I mean the guy that actually reads this, may enjoy.
Oh! Scarlett was lovely and Bradley was perfect as the dilho and I could see Drew falling for Justin and I felt bad for Jennifer and knew there would be a good Benifer.

This is an understated compilation of George Bush's arrogance, grammatical slips, and brash impulsiveness to fly in the face of common sense which ultimatelly makes him look more moronic due to the director's politicallly motivated restraint. Its accuracy is rather dubious since it is likely Bush was more cunning than this film gives him credit for.

I had no idea what this movie was about. I just knew it was Underworld and I wanted to see it.
Silly me, first thing I thought was where is Kate? Did they replace her with this chick that isn't as hot and has bigger lips?
No idea that this was a prequel until it shows you.
I enjoyed it though! Movie lasts an hour and a half and it felt a little too short when it finally ended.
Walked away excited and couldn't wait to find out what happens next.
Until I remembered, I already have seen what happens next.

Like Blood Diamond except in Afghanistan, change the commodity to oil---you get the picture. Crowe was good as a nonchalant intelligence ringleader giving detached and distant incompetent advice to a frazzled counterterrorist operative, DiCaprio. For those inclined to speculate over the war, this movie paints a pretty clear and traumatic image of why western powers are failing to neutralize the threat. You will grip the edge of your seat in this one.

This is a good movie in the sense that it shows you the other side of the story. I don't understand why they took Anwar in the first place. Was kinda interesting how it showed the policeman's daughter and how she was tied into the story.
Reese didn't have to act that hard. Jake did a good job showing his emotions.
Worth a look if you are into these type of movies.

Like Trainspotting's emphasis, this drama made me cringe at the relapse in morals, and depths of despair junkies wallow in to get their next shot. This is a harrowing affair with another spectacular performance by Ledger, unintentionally leading astray his beloved, his lesser fix. Geoffrey Rush plays a captivating biochemist gone bad.

This is not juts viscerally substatial though another adult fairytale to join the ranks of Big Fish and Pan's Labirynth. A suffering invalid stuntman relates a fairytale to a young girl recuperating from a fall. Seeing her enraptured by the tale, the stuntman continues the telling which grows increasingly twisted under the influence of morphine which he is happy to receive in lethal quantities, Parts of the movie verge on clever (such as the manner of prying the locket's secret) and the strange integration of true to life facts into the fantasy world involving a masked bandit's revenge against Goveneror Odious.

This is definitely a movie worth watching. I really enjoyed the way the characters all played off each other. I think they were cast well because all three actors fit them. Owen Wilson as the older brother all beat up (both inside and out) who brought his two younger brothers to India on a spiritual journey to find their mother. Although that last part is not known to Adrian Brody and Jason Schwartzman.
There were scenes that were funny but touching at the same time. Who knew you could get kicked off a train in the middle of India and still survive.
I have enjoyed other Wes Anderson movies except for The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. I'm glad he got me back after this one.
If you already had this movie in your must see list, you gotta bump it up and watch it soon!

I stumbled upon this film on IFC when I was bored, looking for a movie. I missed about 15 minutes of it but what kept me on the channel was the song. I think the soundtrack is the best thing about this movie. Besides having a few laughs in between.
The movie is about a band that isn't that good but still living the dream of making it big. They all love each other and are just trying to make it big.
The dinner scene with her parents was pretty funny and I'm still confused, was the girl taking a bath in blood real or not?
Anyways, if you stumble upon this movie I say give it a go!
