2
Léon (The Professional) (1994,  R)
Léon (The Professional)
As an adult this is my all time favorite movie. Jean Reno is now one of my favorite actors and he can do no wrong. Even if the movie he's in is horrible, he'll still be amazing. Natalie Portman should have been given an Oscar for this movie.
3
Ronin (1998,  R)
Ronin
Jean Reno is my favorite actor and him working with DeNiro is great... this movie has some of the best action, mystery and one of the best car chases ever. If you havent' seen it just go buy it today
4
Children of Men (2006,  R)
Children of Men
Best movie of 2006? Yeah it just might be. THis movie belw me away. It's hauntingly beautiful and terrifying

The Reason it hit with me so much is the fact that this is my generation in 20 years. This film is so perfect that i'm giving it the oscar now. I'm stealing it and WAM... oscar gold.
5
Fight Club (1999,  R)
Fight Club
Along with the Matrix this is one of the best films of the past 10 years. Inspiring to watch and addicting as well. The replay value if it is high because you always notice something new every single time... a directors cut or an extended cut needs to be released on the 10 year aniversary... and the moment it's on blu-ray i'm snaggin it
6
Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003,  R)
Kill Bill: Volume 1
So brutally violent. I loved it. Tarantino at his best.
7
Kill Bill, Volume 2 (2004,  R)
Kill Bill, Volume 2
I acually loved this movie more than vol.1... it was so touching at the end and the track by Chingon was perfect. Great film through and through.
8
Heat (1995,  R)
Heat
Another modern Classic. I love this movie. The action is great and Val Kilmer actually almsost kinda gets rid of his lisp in this movie.
9
The Seven Samurai (Shichinin no Samurai) (1954,  Unrated)
The Seven Samurai (Shichinin no Samurai)
EPIC... this right here is the begining of epic film making... of truly telling stories
10
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980,  PG)
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
The Best out of all of them... The acting was spot on, the action was amazing, the score was the best of the 6 and the drama was incredible.
11
The Hunt for Red October (1990,  PG)
The Hunt for Red October
finally a submarine movie that isn't about water leaking into the boat.. i hate that...

i hate the wet submarine interior... it just bugs me. I love modern subs, they're so friggin cool...

This movie is the first movie i remember seeing as a kid. I clearly remember going with my dad down the street to the local 5 screen theater and watching this and loving it. I only realized this year that it's the first movie i remember seeing and it stars Sean Connery and the first movie my dad ever saw was "Goldfinger" starring Sean Connery so it's kind of a bonding thing.
12
Vanilla Sky (2001,  R)
Vanilla Sky
More brillaint american film making. Camereon Crowe's masterpiece, his absolute best work. I love it. It flows over me. It's music is beautiful and it's story is mind blowing.
13
Superman (1978,  PG)
Superman
still the best superhero movie of all time...

it's a classic...

it really does make you belive a man can fly.
14
Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut (2006,  PG)
Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut
A much better movie in comparison to the original. The way Lois tricks Clark is amazingly brilliant as is the begining of the movie. The redone effects are cheezy and you can tell they're done now but made to look like then.

OH GOD and Marlon Brando is back which is a big deal. The look he gives Lois is fucking acting at it's best... and he's a fucking floating head.
15
The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (2003,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King
This movie is flawless.... from begining to end this movie delivers so much amazing action... I LOVE IT.
16
Kôkaku kidôtai (Ghost in the Shell) (Shell Mobile Force) (1996,  R)
Kôkaku kidôtai (Ghost in the Shell) (Shell Mobile Force)
The film that inspired The Matrix. Well at least one of the films. Ghost in the Shell is usually a persons first go in the world of anime. This or Akira. It's tough to understand if you aren't an existential thinker or dont' get the ideas of souls. It's animation is breath takingly good and the voice acting is top notch. I love it to death and it'll always be in my collection of movies
17
The Matrix (1999,  R)
The Matrix
AMAZING FILM!!! It wasn't my first spin in the world of cyber-punk stories but it was still really good and it's the best American Film of the past 20 years.
18
The Shawshank Redemption (1994,  R)
The Shawshank Redemption
One of my all time favorite films. It's the best story of hope and friendship. Oh man... gotta watch it now... it's that good.
19
The Boondock Saints (1999,  R)
The Boondock Saints
the F bomb scene... just classic
20
Blade Runner (1982,  R)
Blade Runner
Made me wonder about my life and how i know what's real and what's not way before the matrix did. The start of cyber-punk is right here.
21
Donnie Darko (2001,  R)
Donnie Darko
This is a classic film... brilliant... and what's nuts is that both cuts are equally as good and equally as confusing... i loved them both.
22
Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan (1982,  PG)
Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan
The best Star Trek movie. So good infact that they basically copied it when they made Star Trek Nemesis. If you ever get the chance to see it on a big screen i suggest you do so.
23
Jurassic Park (1993,  PG-13)
Jurassic Park
I saw this maybe 5 times in theaters including once when it was on video and i went late at night anyway just to hear the deafening bass.
24
The Ghost and the Darkness (1996,  R)
The Ghost and the Darkness
I've never been so affraid of Lions before. Because this mvie is a true story it's way more amazing than it would be if it weren't. The fact that it all happened and that it's the only time lions ever acted like this is awesome.
25
Match Point (2005,  R)
Match Point
Woody Allen's best work in my oppinion. The way the families are and the way Scarlett Johansson plays sexy is amazing. The whole cast is what makes it work. I love this movie. It's great. It was so honest in the way the man hates that he has to make choices and can't because he's actually a coward.

I hate this site for the fact that it's got a 3 star average. There are so man "not instersted's that' it's disgusting."
26
The Devil's Advocate (1997,  R)
The Devil's Advocate
No one plays the devil like Pachino
27
True Romance (1993,  R)
True Romance
Well written and acted out pretty well, but it needs more Gary Oldman... he's so awesome in it and they kill him off right away... it bummed me out.
28
Battle Royale (Batoru Rowaiaru) (2001,  Unrated)
Battle Royale (Batoru Rowaiaru)
Oh wow was this movie great. It was full of great action and a twisted and tragic story that sadly i could see happening one day, epsecially with the teenager rebelion currently occupying Japan. Go and then judge.
29
Shaun of the Dead (2004,  R)
Shaun of the Dead
HILARIOUS!!!!!!! this movie is so funny. I love zombie films so much and this movie is both terrifying and hilariousl, perfectly. God it's great. Get the living dead series and this and enjoy.
30
El Mariachi (1993,  R)
El Mariachi
Made for only 7000 bucks this movie RULES. You just have to see it. This movie spawned an awesome set of sequels and rocks all on its own... yeah it looks cheap... but so does all of Mexico.
31
Desperado (1995,  R)
Desperado
A great sequel. It's intro is so amazing and the story is so good. And of course it's got Salma Hayek so i love it.
32
Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003,  R)
Once Upon a Time in Mexico
Oh how i love this movie. The reason i give it 5 stars is personal. I know it's not actually a 5 star more so don't give me crap. But this movie is inspiring to potential film makers. It's a great piece of popcorn cinema and it wasn't expensive to make. Johnny Depp did all his acting in 8 days and the special effects were simple and cost almost nothing to make. It's a ton of fun.
33
Sin City (2005,  R)
Sin City
The best adaptation of a comic book ever. But if hear anymore little kids talking about it i'll have to kill someone... STOP LETTING YOUR KIDS SEE MOVIES JUST CUZ THEY'RE BASED ON COMICS!!!
34
Grindhouse (Grind House) (2007,  R)
Grindhouse (Grind House)
See my other reviews
35
Reservoir Dogs (1992,  R)
Reservoir Dogs
I love that it's a heist movie without the actual heist.... soooo good... so quotable
36
Pulp Fiction (1994,  R)
Pulp Fiction
American Cinema at it's very very best. Some say this is the best film of the past 20 years. I'd be hard pressed to dissagree with them.
37
Jackie Brown (1997,  R)
Jackie Brown
Jackie Brown is my favorite Tarantino movie. I thought the whole thing was awesome. I love De Niro in it just being, well... kind of a moron, and Pam Grier is awesome in it. I need to find more movies with Robert Forster in them.
38
Clerks (1994,  R)
Clerks
hits home everytime. Can't wait for the sequel. I don't really need to say anything about this when everything tgreat about it has been said.
39
Clerks II (2006,  R)
40
Chasing Amy (1997,  R)
Chasing Amy
Kevin Smith at his very best. This movie tears me up everytime. I mean really tears me apart emotionally. Loving someone who can never love you back or shouldn't is so close to home and just the way relationships work... god it's rough.
41
Dogma (1999,  R)
Dogma
Hilarious and it will really make you think. I don't care if you're religious or not, you should be able to love this movie. That and it has Salma Hayek and we all know i'm in love with her.
42
Death Proof (Grindhouse Presents) (2007,  R)
Death Proof (Grindhouse Presents)
Death Proof wasn't my favorite part of Grindhouse but has since turned into my favorite part.

The way the film changes style through the movie with the middle transition is classic and works so well.

Love the ladies, love the action. Zoe Bell is a total star and shows how a stunt person can become a total star.
43
No Country for Old Men (2007,  R)
No Country for Old Men
What a brilliant film! Some of the most amazing writing, dialogue and action sequences all in one package with an ending that will leave you scratching your head and arguing.
