A very odd film,sometimes very hard to follow.However it interesting never the less. I do like Cameron Diaz quite a bit,but I didnt care for her accent in this movie. It didnt seem to fit her. Also Im not sure what kind of movie it is. Science ficton? Sure it has some of those elements,but not enough for me to put it there.Suspense? Sure there are some elements here and there.Horror? Yeah I did find some of the characters very creepy,Frank Langella is a stand out in this movie.Langella made the movie and kept it a float. This movie did come as a dissapointment coming from the director Richard Kelly.He did direct one of my favorite movies,Donnie Darko. Since then he has made some medicore movies,this one included. This movie made no sense at times,hard to beilve most of the time. I was entertained but failed to get at what it was trying to say. I mean I guess the message of the film was to say that nothing comes without consequnce,but do we really need a box to tell us that?? |
