The doc explores how Valentino built his empire with Giancarlo, his life and business partner and the end/death of an era. It's probably the best documentary I've ever seen. The movie transports you to another dimension. Doesn't matter if you're into fashion or not this is a recommended viewing.
I don't get why some ppl (and critics) hate it so much. Yes, the premise is nothing new (I don't agree to those who say that it's a rip-off), but at least it delivered, unlike some movies try to do new things and failed. There were twists and turns in the movie in which I didn't expect. But the ending ties the whole movie neatly. Recommended viewing for those who're into sci-fi or movies like Aliens, the Descent, Eden Log etc.
Pretty good small direct-to-DVD movie. An interesting premise, although only time will tell if it's possible. All the actors do a good job here especially Sean Faris, he's very convincing.
It's quite good as long as you don't think too much about the movie afterwards which you could find several plot-holes, but otherwise it's an enjoyable ride with each reveal til the end. Worth a look.
Not bad, not good. I wish Demitri's character has more oomph, they need to make more use of their roster of talented actors. I wish it had capture more of the excitement from the first person point of view instead of the third person point of view, but kudos to Ang Lee for his bravery in capturing what seems unfilmable.
Light on gore, but it keeps my attention til the end. A lot of amateurish mistakes in this film (ie: there should be guards everywhere in the cinema which Hitler watches the movie and there should be some troops guarding outside.)
What I like about this movie is that the action begins quickly, unlike the first one. But I don't like the ending of this movie and the fact that Jay Hernandes character got killed.
Amazing CGIs, no plot, and bland cliches that you can find in any other disaster flicks. Enjoyable, although I wish it'd been in 3D. My only gripe: The Russian girl's forgotten by the end of the movie, no representation of Latino and gays at all (not even a line even though Roland Emmerich the director is gay himself)
