The Dark Knight PG-13

Well, the day finally came when I saw this movie on the big screen (and the IMAX screen), and I was not disappointed. I only wish I had had more self-control when it came to spoilers. But even when you suspect what's going to happen next, this movie is a sucker punch.

The Usual Suspects R

It's a reasonably entertaining crime thriller.

2. Barton Fink R

Who would have guessed that such an amusing comedy could turn so suddenly grisly? I sure didn't, but the Coen Brothers did. Such is the life of the mind.

3. Batman Begins PG-13

The Batman as he was meant to be. Though it takes him about 45 minutes "to be". The sequel will be even better.

4. The Big Lebowski R

Wall-to-wall hilarity. One quotable favorite that I haven't gotten tired of yet.

5. Blue Velvet R

A dangerous, voyeuristic journey that I can enjoy in the safety of my own home.

6. Donnie Darko R

Loses half a star due to unnecessary Director's cut.

Saibogujiman kwenchana (I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK)

I was moved by this movie and strangely related to it's characters. Still, I will take multiple viewings to fully inmerse myself in it. They should've left the original ending, I can't believe they didn't do that, fits so well.
Unlike anything it's director has done before, which is what I think makes it so unique and the visual style is fascinating.

Brilliant! Laura Dern gives an outstanding performance, though the excellent supporting cast shine as beautifully. The film is as unbiased as it is hilarious.

Somewhat uneven most of the time, but I did like the performances and the really cool music and found it surprisingly funny some times.

I was only first interested in this film because of a reference on Arrested Development's "The Ocean Walker" episode, but was not surprised to find a very funny and very, very lovely story. This will always be my favorite Peter Sellers performance ever.
