Surprisingly good! Efron really stepped up in this film and appeared to have studied the mannerisms of Matthew Perry proving certain skills as an actor. What I loved most though? The nerdy side story! Lennon was fantastic as a supporting actor, and his character owned the house of my dreams.
Disney did too much to this film! An attempt to make it more epic than the story actually is was a wrong move. Visually it was fantastic (but that's all thanks to Weta), the acting was rather poor and they pulled apart the story too much so as an adaptation, which made a mess of all the decent parts. Ah well, lets just hope that they do a better job with The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
A beautiful film, and charming where it counts. Acker has turned his original animated short of the same name into a feature length film that doesn't take anything too far! If there was one thing that could have been better, it would have been to have less spoken word, but it worked out well anyway.
Certainly harrowing, but a real insight into the reality of war. Ridley Scott is an absolute master in epic story telling and in this case especially when it is based on actual events. I take off my hat to the outstanding performances of the entire cast.
Freakin' awesome action sequences, truly inspired! An amusing script and even though the story was short, it was well thought out creating an overall decent action film.
