Metropolis (Metoroporisu) - PG-13 Nice movie. Amazing OST!!! July 19, 2008

Pulp Fiction - R No words. Amazing. A bit-too-bloody masterpiece. May 25, 2008

Blood Diamond - R Impressive. Touching. Moving. Beautifully shot.

Very good one, though I've thought I would never say it from a Di Caprio's film...

True Lies - R Probably not a masterpiece, neither a milestone in cinema history, but definitely a two-hour fun guaranteed. Fascinating performance of Jamie Lee Curtis.

Fun + action; what else?

Marie Antoinette - PG-13 Amazing OST, makeup and attrezzo, but probably a bit too plain. No significant events or high times on the whole story...

Nice and risky attempt to make this a modern story; worth it.

Kill Bill, Volume 2 - R Quite a lot much slower than the Volume 1... just good enough as it explains the first part of the saga and beautiful on the cinematography side, but not much more. March 23, 2008

Kill Bill: Volume 1 - R A Masterpiece. Quite too bloody, but still a masterpiece... March 23, 2008

Todo Sobre Mi Madre (All About My Mother) - R Not a masterpiece really, but still worth watching. Nice colors and framings; just a few remarkable performances.

This one explores most of Almodovar's clichès, it could even be a documentary of his career as a film director...

In the Valley of Elah - R Brilliant performances by Tommy Lee Jones and Charlize Theron. Shame I felt the story wasn't convincing enough at the end of the film... there was something missing there about the disappearance of his son.

Will have to wait now for the unseen scenes on the "director's cut" DVD edition...

Very inspiring framings on several scenes; 5 stars on cinematography.

The Lake House - PG One of my favorites. A must see. March 21, 2008

Le Procès (The Trial) - Unrated Simply Orson Welles meets Franz Kafka... Clear enough. Confusing enough.

Recommended.

Fargo - R Not a classic masterpiece but still a great story with even better performances and a brilliant cinematography.

Yet not quite sure if it has to sit on the comedy or in the suspense side of my collection...

Memoirs of a Geisha - PG-13 Loved it. March 20, 2008

House of Flying Daggers (Shi mian mai fu) - PG-13 Amazing cinematography. Shame the stroy becomes a bit wicked as it gets closer to its end... worth watching anyway, but more for staring at the beautiful photograpy than for the script. March 20, 2008

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street - R Loved the makeup and cinematography, but not much the singing and the gorish' side of the film... could have been better, though it's not really bad at all. March 4, 2008

Into the Wild - R Wonderful film and cinematography. It comes as a surprise to find there's a true story behind... you may love him, or you may hate him, but the film would still be worth watching anyways. February 23, 2008

Michael Clayton - R Attracting script though it still was slightly difficult to get some of the clues at the beginning. Very nice photography and ending.

Not really a worth "Best Movie" Oscar award film, but, well... Oscars are not really trustable, so it could fit anyway. Any could =)

La Science des Rêves (The Science of Sleep) - R Liked this one. Weird. Bizzarre. Captivating. February 12, 2008

I Am Legend - PG-13 Not too bad story at all, but I'm getting tired of watching how the Fresh Prince saves himself alone the humankind every single picture he does... too much.

Very nice effects though.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind - R Amazing. Very Gondry-ish styled touching movie. Brilliant cinematography.

Thought I would never write such from a Jim Carrey's film, but sometimes is nice to see him acting rather than doing silly faces...

Juno - PG-13 Nice one. Amazing OST. February 3, 2008

Atonement - R Interesting. Excellent cinematography, specially the long single-shot scene in the beach and the constant coming-back scenes. Not a masterpiece anyway... January 20, 2008
