The Eel open with a bang.A man received some letter that tells that her wife is having some affair with other man. Some day,the man comes home early from his routinely fishing activity,j to proved whether everything that is said in the letter is true. When he comes home,he find that the letter is,indeed,did not lie.his wife is having an affair. so,without hesitation,he grab some knife, stab the man she having affair with,and then stab his wife,over and over again,cold blooded..After that,he goes to police station,and tell the cops everything.whoa,what a setup.

But that's it.the next 1 and 40 minutes didn't go the way i expect it to be.it cannot rival the tension on the first 10 minutes.Instead of taking such a delicate turn like that brilliant opening,the film tells just another story of redemption like holywood always make.truly a disappointment,it is

not the one i expected it to be. Since it comes from terry gilliam,i demand a dark,and unique experience. but what did i get? just a movie that looks like build for children

jean reno and natalie peformance chemistry is a joy to behold, definitely the best on-screen couples ever on the cinematic history,.add in amazing performance(as always)by gary oldman psycothic corrupt police.Brilliant!
