    Sparkle Sparkle
    by Ian
Sparkle is a hidden gem that I stumbled across! Stockhard Channing, with Anthony Head as her gay brother?! And the lead guy is doing her and her daughter! That's a crude explanation! But it's just a brilliant romantic drama, and I adore it!!

This movie was genius in 3D! About as close to having thhe real Jensen next to me as I'll get! There were brilliant 3D moments, and it's thoroughly enjoyable! The ending was a bit pants, and if I hadn't have seen it in 3D then the rating would have been lower, but wicked!

The word WOW sums this up... It's unbelievable to me that someone did all this. I would love to live two weeks in the wild to say I've done it, but what this guy did is immense, and I wish he could have told us all in person rather than writing...

For fans of movies that are so unintentionally BAD, they become classic comedy pieces that live on as legends via the 'Silent Night, Deadly Night 2' horribleness.

The Dark Knight The Dark Knight
    by kristine
I haven't seen a movie this good in a long time. Everything about it from start to finish was purely captivating and a total wild ride. I also love the reality of Nolan's adaptations, how seriously and realistically he approaches them, turning characters that used to be total "cheese" into the most sincere deeply flawed human beings with depths that reach far beyond your average "superhero" movie and into the mainstream as they speak to all of us instead of just a 'select' comic-book reading group. Christian Bale was strong as usual but his poor character didn't have a chance in this one to stand out, due to the wildly enigmatic scene stealers that were 'The Joker' played by the late Ledger, and 'Harvey Dent' played by Eckhart, these two characters were so defined and complex in such completely separate ways that they drove this film from a great action film (like its previous installment Batman Begins) to a PURE MASTERPIECE of unrivaled filmmaking for this genre that will be extremely difficult to top, even by Nolan himself.

An interesting gem for any Angelina fan...
    Foxfire Foxfire
    by Ian
This movie was a nice surprise... Angelina's name drew me to it, and watching it I realised it must have been when she had her lesbian relationship, as the girl is in it. The characters are really good, Ms Jolie's breasts look amazing (haha!), and you can see similarities between her character in this and her Oscar-winning performance in "Girl, Interrupted", but it's a good gritty drama. Girl power I say!

Such a sweet life affirming movie that observes the way we should all look at life and the people around us. I also have a new found respect for Zach Braff.

    The Ruins The Ruins
    by kristine
This is one of those movies that shouldn't be good but is. The plot point is so ridiculous and is never even fully explained, though assumptions are given by the victims of the story as to its history. But what really drives this movie and turns it into something worth watching is its characters, (they're not just your average shallow teenage horror puppets you see in these kind of films) they are a well-cast ensemble of characters who are very real and share a close-knit chemistry to each other as they deal with their extreme reality of becoming human sacrifices. So to sum it up; good performances with complex characters in a 'not so good' film.

There are some brilliant camera shots in this, and it has the most eclectic soundtrack I've heard in a while. Gabe Nevins plays the moody skate-boarding lead really well (although I'm guessing it wasn't a stretch), and is scarily beautiful. You can't help but want to watch him. Very interesting drama... But it does has dull points where you're willing something to happen!

Another comedy 'made on the expense' that some of us are gay and seen by a majority of people as funny types. The film does have its hilarious moments though so you don't have to avoid it.

This movie takes no prisoners... Even though the whole of Scotland is imprisoned within itself! If you worry about getting bored in a movie... Well, you don't have a chance to in this one... It is phenomenal... I can even let slide that while one faction ends up being cannibalistic punks the other have reverted to medieval times, because this is an action movie tour de force with a hell of a lot of guts (literally!) and well worth a watch!

    Zombie Strippers Zombie Strippers
    by Ian
You have to have a sense of humour, and some B movie intelligence to enjoy this film. Jenna Jameson as an undead stripper?! The guy who starts the infection is called Byrd Flough (Bird Flu)... It starts off with the acting SO bad! But after 20 minutes it gets better and better... The effects crew on this are phenomenal... Seriously any horror fanatic will bow down to the variety of deaths, and zombies getting more degraded... I say watch it if any of this appeals!

    by Ian
This is one of the sexiest films I have ever seen! If you don't mind fairly graphic sex scenes this is just incredibly well done. The emotion brought through the characters as well as passion is just immense. It is shot well, with a soundtrack that doesn't over-power the goings on. Understated at times to it's own advantage this is one steamy watch that is well worth it!

A dark and daring movie with a hint of light...
    Blindness Blindness
    by Daniel
An epidemic outbreak of blindness causes havoc in a quarantined environment, with Julianne Moore's character the only one immune. A movie that is often difficult to watch due to the subject matter but compelling non-the-less. The victims of blindness become caught in a war of rivalry, and it's here that we witness the most disturbing elements of the story. Moore's character becomes almost godlike, although the only gift she possesses is one the majority of us take for granted. Though the movie is dark in content, there are bursts of humour and light. Amazing cinematography and performances, a must see.

OMG, I can't believe i've gone all those years without seeing this movie. I recently just happened to come across this film while flipping through the premium channels and im so glad I did, the direction/writing and acting (expecially by Kevin Spacey who officially now scares the hell out of me) were all superb and the story Holy Hell! that was some twisted stuff that somehow managed to be far more terrifying than any gory horror movie i've ever seen. I think it has to do with the whole reality of the plot, I mean this could very well happen given some of the twisted religious fanatics out there and I think that makes it far more scary than any gory horror movie out there.

    by Daniel
Visually stunning and a gripping, often disturbing storyline. I found this the most gruelling of the Vengeance Trilogy in the subject matter sense, yet I couldn't look away. The revenge is brutal and amazing... Is it just me or did anyone else find parts of it darkly comical? I don't remember Mr Vengeance or Oldboy to be remotely funny.

    Elephant Elephant
    by Daniel
I was interested in reading what other people had to say about this movie until I started reading all of the negative comments about how the students stories weren't 'interesting' enough and it was boring... The whole fucking point of it is that it's an ordinary school with ordinary students, that's what makes it so interesting and the finale more disturbing! For those that don't know this movie was inspired by the Columbine school massacre, so we know exactly how it's gonna turn out. Part of me was hoping that the actual massacre would be more suggested than depicted but the violence made it even more shocking and tragic. The style of the movie was brilliant, with only about 20 or so minutes of actual school time shown from different students view points. I'm still not quite sure why this movie is called Elephant... I did spot a picture of an Elephant in the movie but I guess there must be a deeper meaning? Not an easy watch at times but a must see...
