As with the sereis people just didn't get it - although this time the marketing department did much better - full of Whedon one liners delivered perfect;y CULT CLASSIC!
I mean come on - how many films do you see that make you go out and buy the DVD box set of a TV sereis the day after?

One of the most quotable, referanced and silly films of all time. Python doesn't get much better than this.

I love this film.
The laughs hide very important observations about our society, and for the record, it's not against God or Jesus - it just pokes fun at their blind rabid followers.

I LOVE THIS FILM! pure silly fun - with a kick ass soundtrack and some wonderfull performances (panto and cheese). Friday night popcorn flick( SG! fans look for "Martouf" in orange)

One of the first bonds I ever watched and a staple of my late childhood. This film has some truly brilliant moments - and Dalton just rox my sox. Watch his expression before the plane take-off at the end....

I grew up watching this film "I had rather my dog bark at a crow than a man swear he love me" ... I guess that says something about my childhood....ken Branagh rox my sox...and just look at that cast list *SIGH*

Based on real events this slightly lightharted tale of a British POW and his many intrepid exploits. less coherant and sombre than The Great Escape, it is nevertheless as British war movie classic.

It was nicely filled with foreshadowing and little touches, and some good character developement. Ffor the 2nd or 3 films it was very good - but as a standalone it loses alot.

An amazingly powerfull film - with that comic book popcorn touch. Containing that little nudge of great films where it leaves you moved and provoked...and ever so slightly uneasy...

Loved this film as a child, the characters, the concept, the music...guh. Also Maggie Smith pwns all.

The 'Classis' BSG was a staple of my childhood, the sound of a cylon was mid-week tea-time TV personified, so I was a little wary of the 're-imagining'. Honestly? This one snapshot *wipes the floor* not only with the old series and Sci-fi, but a whole draft of TV and Film in general. Brilliance.
Bonus points for spotting 'the Bridge Studios bunch' How many BSG regulars once had bit-parts in Stagate and vise-versa - much fangirly fun.
