The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

before i get onto talking about the movie id just want to say that this is the second film that i have seen that has been released not to long ago and is bordering on perfection the other being "Watchmen" and they have hardly won any awards and have hardly been mentioned anywhere but yet "slumdog millionarie" which is a pretty average movie got mentioned everywhere and won all the awards which i cant see why it dont

its for movies like this that flixster need to go to 10 stars and not 5 because for me 5 stars just is not enough to praise how well this movie was

for a start the story line was unique (even though i think some of the idea and plot came from mel gibson's film "Forever young" and its very much along the same lines as "Forrest Gump" and i think has earned its place up there with the film greats this one day should take its seat in history as a masterpiece

now we get to the acting and i must say that all the acting in this movie was great i could not pick or even find a fault with any of the actors performances

Brad Pitt put in a performance that should have won him every award possible going this in my opinion was his best ever perormance in a movie fine most of it was in a narrative capacity but i cant honestly see hm beating this performacne he pulled out the bag for this movie

and im going to say pretty much the same for Cate Blanchett not only was she beautiful through out the film but her performance again warrented her to win several awards and i certainly did not know she was as flexible as she is and was outstanding in the ballet dance scenes

this movie is over 2 hours long and i have criticized movies for being far to long but this even being a long movie was perfectly timed

ad i love the way they hit on every emotion through the movie from happiness to sadness to passion to hate and you can not watch this movie and not be hit and find yourself sat there feeling deep emotion by the end of the film

this is truly a masterpiece and no amount of words can truly describe how wonderful this movie was it was truly a delight to watch and i shall certainly watch it again one day

this movie in my opinion is one of the best movies to have been released late 2008 early 2009 it easily makes the top 5 blowing plenty of movies out the water and making its own league when making a film

and you not only get to see a great film but also it is a very big eye opener on how valuable life is and what many people take for granted and how mysterious it actually is when we sit and think about it

Watchmen

i havent read the novel so this will be the first time i see/get to know the story of the watchmen but after seeing the trailer and reading about it briefly i cant wait to see it

i thought the beginning of the movie was excellent where they were going through the times and whats happened and i thought the song choice was perfect with picking bob dylan and the times are changing all ready within the first 10 minutes i cant fault it and cant see whats going to happen in the rest of the movie

12 minutes in and all ready had the first major solo scene with some impressive acting and an even more impressive piece of script which was very reminiscent of dare devil and batman but it was real and full of truth

i have to say for first 30 minutes or so the acting was perfect in my opinion could not fault it at all Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach was brilliant couldnt fault him at all and he was bringing a total differet aspect to the movie it was like he wanted to do the right thing but seemed as if he didnt want to anymore kinda thing its hard to explain haha

the digital effects they used to make the character of Jon Osterman was amazing dont think ive ever seen a person that well concealed in hs character by digital effects and the way they made his eyes pure white was kinda creepy but in a good way

some may say that the song choices are a bit mad and not the best songs to pick but i have to say they work great with the movie and the scenes they use them on

the scene were Rorschach is narrating the film where he visits the rave of the comedian was just beautiful i mean he was saying some intense and meaningful stuff and the simpleness of the camera angles and the scenes they shown was just perfect

woah the fight scenes are brutal but man do they add to the awesomeness of the movie the effects and the make up of the ounds and broken bones is amazing at how well they done it especially the fact that you can hear all the cracks of when the bone gets broke

yet again another perfect and beautiful piece of film when dr. manhatton has his scene alone where he narates what happened just like the other scene the director uses simple scenes and simple camera actions to make another beautiful worked scene

what more is there to say about this movie...well this is easy the best movie of 2009 i dont think that any movie that has been released and will be released is gonna top this

the acting was pretty much perfect the cast was perfect and i have to say i dont think id ever seen a film with these in before but i look forward to looking out for them in other films

the storyline was perfect and it was full of twists and turns and this is one of the best movies i have seen for a long time

i cant see how they can justify slumdog millionaire getting all the awards when it was a pretty basic and average movie yet this is bordering on perfect if not perfct and has hardly been mentioned all year

i will deffinately be going out to try find the book to read it...and well you could talk about this movie for aes it was just a wonderfuly made master piece and should really go out and see it

5 stars on flixster doesnt really justify how good this movie was was just....perfect

Transformers

oh my god what i can i say about this move it was amazing ive been looking forward to this since i saw the trailer a few months ago and i did have high expectations and they certainly got met this movie has got to be up there with the best movies that have been made in 2007 and has become one of my favorite films

Shia LaBeouf played his role perfect as the smart arse teenager he was serious and also funny during the film which worked well couldnt fault him

Megan Fox seeing as its most probably her first major movie to date she was great she not only brought her great looks to the movie but also was a great supporting actress to Shia

Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibosn both had good performances even though they werent one of the main characters but when they were involved they were great, Amaury Nolasco was also great ive seen how good he is in prison break and he just proved that he could make it in the film industry

Jon Voight was great for the role that he was picked to play, Rachael Taylor wasnt in it for that long and didnt have that much to do but she was great and also brought her looks to the movie, Anthony Anderson was funny but when he was serious he was pretty good but hes better when hes funny

all the rest of the cast where great and i thought that the people who were picked to be the voices of the transformers where good choices, Bernie Mac might have only been in it for about 10 minutes or so but he was entertaining and funny in those 10 minutes

all the visual affects and the green screen was excellent they were used plenty in this movie but they were excellent on a consistent basis couldnt fault it at all

the story line was good suited the film well and i have to say i was a big kid when watching this movie, i mean when all the autobots came together i was excited i mean optimus as the mack i would love to have a truck like that and bumblebee as the camaro just classy even the bad autobots where cool as the police car and the tank just brought back loads of memories of when i was a kid

the action was excellent fine yeah the film was over 2 hours but i wasnt bored once during those 2 hours or more all the action was great especially the fights between the robots pure brilliance ^_^

this is a must see of 2007 but a must see anyway this movie is just awesome

Evan Almighty

it was a good movie good follow on for the director to bruce almighty but i dont think it was quite as good or will be as popular, if you take away the stroyline you are left with the same method and sequence as in bruce almighty

i thought steve carell had a good performance and so did the rest of the actors that have been selected for this movie, morgan freeman was again faultless as in bruce almighty

i didnt think it got that funny until he started building the ark but thats just my opinion

i will recomend you to go see it you might like it i dunno
