Strange history lesson which transitions the ages almost seamlessly.Typical Jack Black, although Michael Cera is starting to establish himself as a sheep with a lion's heart. "I'll kill you where you stand."
"Man dates?"...male bonding...men behaving badly...getting in touch with your manly side...all explored in this romantic comedy fit for the fellas to watch.
It was the first X rated animated film I saw at age 16, continuing the 60s tradition of 'free-love, weed-smoking hippies', full of righteous protest over civil rights and the Vietnam War. Seeing it again 27 years later, it is a little dated and drags in spots, but still enjoyable as a cult classic. Not for the kiddies!
Maggie Smith started as Peter Pan and has now ended up a delightfully evil Mary Poppins! Great cast, very funny story...twist ending. Some people just need killin'!
Behind every politician, stand the great women he did to get there. And in this case, the scandals never surfaced...they meet in the cavernous LA bathroom to discuss, commiserate, and guzzle champagne. Tom Selleck, always great to look at & drool over.
Hudson and Cook had fantastic chemistry on screen. And Alec Baldwin is perfect as the philandering father to Dane's serial-dater persona and 'the worse date you'll ever have' for hire. Great fun to watch!
