My Favorite Movies

I wll never forget seeing this movie for the first time. I immediately fell in love with it. The original trilogy is my all time favorite films ever. You can't watch one without the other 2. This movie was just so awesome and still to this day the opening sequence gives me goosebumps. It never gets old.

Out of the original triology this is my least favorite visualy, however I do love the fact that this one answers alot of questions and lets us, the audiance learn more about the force and the characters. Definately a main staple in the series and a must see.

The one that pulls it all together. This is my favorite of all 3 of the original fims. I never get tired of watching these movies and recommend them to everyone. They are filled with suspense, thrills, adventure and romance. We also meet the wonderful and awefully cute Ewoks in this film. Who doesn't love Wicket in this movie. Anywho if you haven't seen the series, what were you thinking? Go get them and wacth them, you are missing out. Life is not complete with out these films.

I can not give this movie a full 5 stars. It just was not the best out of all the Star Wars movies. And lets face it the new Trilogy has nothing on the original. This movie was good but despite that it was my least favorite. To me there were so many things that Lucas could have done to make it into a great film, instead though he kind of screws up the saga a bit. He made me question some of his motives and his thinking on this one. On the other hand it is pretty well shot accept way to much CGI for me I love the stop motion of the original that brought the stories to life. Anywho recommended to all Star Wars fans and any who want some Sci-Fi action.

If you love the classic Horror films and enjoy the birth of the film era, (silent films), you will love this telling of The Phantom of The opera. If you have never seen a silent film, this would be the one to check out. In the time of silent films, tis film was beyond its time. Even to this day, it holds mystery and suspense like no other. It intrigues and shocks. Brilliantly shot! A must see for all movie fans! Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful film. It will make you believe that if you wish upon a star, your wish will come true. That having faith and doing right you will be rewarded. This is a heart warming tale of the love of a Father and his son. A leson of right and wrong, what happens when you don't listen to your parents. Full of delightful songs and unforgettable characters. A must see for all ages.

If you want to see a whimsical, fun and entertaining musical, this film will do just that. Simple story with a few good laughs. Some great songs and a fun cast. This is your film. Great dance sequences as well. If you like musicals I recommend this film or if you just want something different to watch.

What a wonderful masterpiece. Disney did a great job catching the mystery and enchantment of this beloved story. However it would have been so nice if they could have fit in more of the characters in the book. There was so much more that would have made a great movie even more than great. Alice still turns out to be one of the best disney films visualy and musicaly. What a wonderful adventure we take down the rabbit hole.

BRILLIANT!! This is a classic Sci-fi film. A treasure that needs to be in every Sci-fi fan's collection. The only way you could not possibly like this film is, 1 not a Sci-fi fan or 2 you don't like black and white films.

I love this movie. It never gets old no matter how many times I watch it. It also has some of the most catchy songs in the Disney library. If you have never seen it, SEE IT!

This is my all time favorite fairy tale and I absolutely love the retelling of the story that Diseny did. It will always be my favorite Disney film. I wanted to be Aurora so bad when I was a little girl. The 3 good fairiers are so cute and funny. Prince Phillip is so Handsome and brave. And there is no better villan than Maleficent. Love It, Love It, Love It!!!

Probably one of the best and most famous of the Disney Classics. I can't imagine anyone not liking this film. It is full of fun songs and memorable scenes. A great blend of animation and live action. You can't help but fall in love with Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins. Dick Van Dyke was just brillliant as Burt. A truly magnificent masterpiece in cinema history. Recommended highly for all ages.

Ok to most this would not be that good of a movie, however if you are Disney fan and a kid at heart you will love this simple film. There is good underline story to it as well. That is if you look past gnomes and how simple a story it is. The underlining story is aboubt lumbering and how we are losing our national forests by cutting down trees, such as Redwoods. So in this very cute and whimsical movie there is also a lesson to be learned, a very serious one that affects us all. But then again Disney was very clever at always trying to teach us lessons in all his films. I recommend this for families and Diseny fans. If you aren't you probably will not like it. But then again you just might.

This film is such a fun adventure. It is full of fun numbers and cute characters. You can't help falling in love with Baloo. This is a must see, you will want to get up and dance along with every number. Take a chance and look for the Bare Necessities.

FIRST OFF PEOPLE THIS IS NOT A DISNEY FILM. THIS MOVIE WAS A MGM, (METRO GOLDWYN MAYER), FILM. I REPEAT NOT DISNEY! Ok now that is cleared up, who would have ever dreamed that the two incredible people who have brought us to know and love James Bond was behind this fun filled, Family Musical. Yes it is true. This was an Ian Fleming Film and like his success with Bond worked with Albert R. Broccoli. If you have ever wondered why this movie does sound like a Disney film, (the music that is), That would be becuase The gantlemen who did the score for this film also did the music for Mary Poppin's. Better known as the Sherman Brothers. Also the Music Director worked on both films, Irwin Kostal. It is very understandable why people assume that it is a Disney film, but it really isn't. I do recommend this film for the kid in all of us. It is just a well rounded film and continues to remain enterianing and a delight to this day. If you did not see this film as a child, it isn't to late. Sit down relax and watch this film. I am sure you will enjoy yourself if you do.

Like most people I can't explain why I love this film. Yes it is weird! But over the years it has become my yearly, Halloween Tradition. Every Halloween night this is my movie to watch. It started years ago when VH1 would air it at midnight on Halloween. I look forward to seeing it every year now. I don't know why. It is just a fun and crazy musical. Tim Curry is brilliant. It is just one of those films you have to see for yourself to believe it. Not recommend for the sexually frightened people out there, but if you can stand to see a man walk around in high heels weraing only thight highs and a teddy, I think you will thourghly enjoy this film. The music is catchy and the wit runs wild. Not recommended for young children, but for the fun loving older crowd, I think you will have a blast with this timeless classic.

This is an older film, but brilliant story line. Also we get to see a very young looking Rip Torn. This is a bit of a creepy story and you can understand why people develop fears of having an operation after having seeen this film. If you get a chance see this film.

This is just one of those brilliant 80's comedies, done by most of the great comedians of all time. You can't go wrong with Chevy, Bill and Harold Ramis as Director. This film is a brilliant spoof on the exclusive world of the Country Club, (Golf Club). My favorite moment is the pool scene, with the Payday candy bar. Absolutely hillarious. A must see for all movie buffs.

Oh sweet Strawberry! Sweet memmories this brings me. Oh how I miss the simple times of childhood. Yes I admit it, I was a huge Strawberry Shortcake fan. This paticular episode was not my most favorite of hers. I still treasure it though. If you are an 80's girl and are trying to find Miss Shortcake, look on Amazon. That is where I found this episode and it came with the world of Strawberry Shortcake. Her first adventures on DVD for the first time. I hope they release the rest of her episode specials.

When I was a kid I would rent this movie almost every time I went to the video store. I just loved it. I hadn't seen it since then, until a couple of days ago and well even though it is a bit out there, I still love it. This movie is just meant to be laughed at. It doesn't make much sence, but then again that is kind of the point to the film. If you like cheesey, over the top, musical spoofs, this is the film for you. It is just meant to be enjoyed and entertain you. Check it out if you get the chance.

Oh my gosh! What a hidden treasure! This is such a funny film and overly entertaining. I am surprised this is not a more well known film. Especially since it is a western spoof. Normally not a Berenger fan, but you can't help but like him in this movie. This film has a lot of great gags in it. This is must see for all the singing cowboys out there! If you like good old fashioned comedy, you have got to see this film. YEE HA!

Wow! What memmories this movie holds for me. I can still remember seeing it for the first time in the theatre. And how amazing I thought it was. Of course I was only like 4 or 5 back then, but it just had a magic about it. I guess because it made me want to go on the adventure with them. It looked like so much fun and still to this day I get that feeling of wishing I could be with them. The only thing disappointing to me about it being on home video is that they have left out some scenes that were originaly in the film when it was released to theatres. I don't quite understand why they would not release the movie the original way now that it is on DVD. Knowing anything when it hits a certain anniversery they will probably re-release it on DVD as a special original release or director's cut. Any who if you have never seen it, even without some of the scenes, you should still see it. It is a fantasic film and a must see for all ages.

If you love the great comics of the 70's and 80's, you have to see this film. Though I do recommend this film to everyone of all ages, I know that, that certain group of people will cherish this film more so. This has got to be the best John Candy film ever made. One reason he is the star, he is not sharing the spotlight with anyone else. A slim Rip Torn has a supporting role in this film that compliments Candy's. He noless plays a wanna be pirate. Imagine all the things that could go wrong on a summer vaccation, well poor John, that is exactly what happens to John's family vaccation in this film. Light hearted and fun. This film is full of laughter and will make you smile from ear to ear.

Even though I am all grown up now, I still enjoy this film. For being an 80's cartoon movie, it actually was well writen. It never gets old to me. My husband even enjoyed it and he is no Rainbow Brite fan. If you enjoyed the 80's cartoons, I reccomend this film.

This is the best live action version of Alice in wonderland. I do however recommend adult supervision if young children are watching only because of the Jabberwocky, he can be a bit frightening. Other than that it has a ton of guest spots from a whole slew of famous preformers. Even Ringo Star, who plays the Mock Turtle. Lots of great musical numbers as well. Also A wonderful preformance of Sammy Davis Jr. A definate for any Alice fan.

Even though this is not the most entertaining of all the musicals out there on film. I still love it. I am a dancer first and foremost, so I always love anything with dance in it. Also it is great insight to the way casting calls are handled in the real world of stage and preforming. if you like musicals and dancing you might enjoy this film. I am afraid that most average people will proabaly not like it that much.

I love this film, but after having seen the European version of the film I feel some-what cheated. The European version makes more sense. So if you are fortunate enough to view the European version I think you really enjoy this film. If not the American one is still great to see. Not recommended for small children. Tim Curry's costume is brilliant, but is a bit unnerving.

This is the best fighter pilot film ever. I actually like Tom Cruise in this film. This film is hot! Everything about it is just right. Val Kilmer made a great pretty boy, hot shot. I still get choked up when Goose dies. You can't help but love his character so much and knowing he is a dad in the movie, it just breaks my heart everytime. If you love action mixed with romance and hot guys in their tightie, whities you will love this movie.

This film is just a great picture. It isn't for everybody I will admit that. But if you enjoy period piece films you shall love this film. It is a simple love story with quite a bit of wit about it. I personnaly love this movie and never get tired of it. If you get a chance check it out.

This was a personal favorite growing up. This movie was the coolist and I still love the idea of it. The little ailen that has no home is probably the cutest movie creautre ever created. It has a great soundtrack and if you want to see a lesser known Sarah Jessica Parker film, here you go. This is a must see for all Sci-geeks and Children of the heart alike. A great family film as well. I strongly recommend it.

This would be the complete fist season of My Little Pony. For us girls of the 80's this was a wonderful show and was very magical. And if you want to remember your childhood fondly I suggest getting thie DVD collection. Also it would be a great way to pass down something from our childhood to the following generations to come. I higly recommend this series for little girls and the little girl in all of us big girls. This set also includes the original piolt "Rescue At Midnight Castl" and the special "Escape From Katrina". However both specials have been cut, so you will be unable to see them the way they originaly aired and was released. Maybe someday soon they will release them uncut and the way we remember them and trasure them.

Ok this is not exactly a movie, it is from the TV series and was a collection of episodes from season one. If you are my little pony fan or enjoy 80's cartoons you will love watching these episodes again. They are dear to me and I love that now I can pass them down to little girls of today, like my neices and maybe one day my own children.

One of MGM's fairy tale musicals. This is the one about Snow White. It is aimed at children and families of course, but if you are a kid at heart and love fairy tales I am sure you will fall in love with this film. This movie is a wonderfully done telling of the classic story. The songs are fun and the cast well put together. I recommend it for the young at heart. If you enjoy this film, I also recommend checking out the other Cannon Movie Tales movies by MGM.

I still love this film, Maybe I am a dreamer, but I love stuff that is far from real. The idea of finding one's true love has always been a big thing for me, even if the story is far-fetched. This film may not be entirely drop dead hilarious true, but does that mean it is not enjoyable or funny. Not all comedies have to have slapstick in it to mkae it a funny film. Anywho, I think the film is great and I still can't get over what a dork James Spader was in this film. Far from the hotty in Pretty in Pink. My recommendations are if you want something that is just entertaining and fun, this will be a good film to see. Bonus you have a great soundtrack to accompany it. Give it a try and you just might actually enjoy it.

I miss my child hood. : ( I love this film still to this day! I watched it over and over so much growing up that my video tape is all warpped. lol! It was a simple and fun film. A family comedy that could be enjoyed by everyone, no matter what your age. And like everyone else I wish Disney would release it on DVD. Maybe one day soon they will. If you ever find somone with a copy, most likely recorded from TV, I suggest you watch it. You will laugh and enjoy yourself immensely. It is short without all the commercials, but still worth the time. You also should check out the second film if you can as well. "Bride of Boogedy", it is equaly enjoyable as the first. This film will always be dear to my heart and a special memory from my childhood.

What a great follow up to Mr. Boogedy. I think this film was actually funnier than the first film. I still to this day get such a kick out of it. I wish though that Kristy Swanson had reprised her roll as Jennifer. This is a great family film, but can be enjoyed by anyone, any age. Timeless Disney! I just keep hoping they release both films on DVD for new generations to enjoy. If you got a chance to see the first film and enjoyed it, you will enjoy this one as well. That is if you can get your hands on it to watch.

This film probably is one of my most favorites from Mel Brooks. I love the way it spoofs Star Wars. Rick Moranis as Dark Helmet. John Candy as Barf. What can I say, other than I just love this film. If you haven't seen it yet. You are crazy. Go rent it or buy it. You need to see this film.

This was one of my favorite movies growing up. Huge care bears fan. Still love them today. Yes the story is confusing after watching the first film and the cartoon series, but still it was a good story and I love meetin Nobleheart and Trueheart. Very entertaining for the whole family and great music. The soundtrack was actually very well done. A must see for any 80's fanatic!

This version is definately the best. The new movie musical version has nothing on the original. I thought this was one of the best casts put together. It is funny, entertaining and also highlights a very serious part in our history. Intergrating people of both races on T.V.. Yet it still does not lose its humor. It is also wonderful to see a hefty girl get the goregeous guy. If you love the 60's you need to see this movie. It is a wonderful spoof on the whole big hair scene of that decade.

This is just a simple fun movie based on the story of Little Red Riding Hood. If you like fairy tales, you just might enjoy this film.

Ok how can you not love Idiana Jones? I believe this movie is probably one of the best film series ever made. Another brilliant film Harrison has been apart of. The only thing I didn't like in the film and this is just personal, was the snakes and watching the Nazi's flesh melt away. Other than that Damn good film.

I abosulutely loved Kate Capshaw's character in this film. She was such the spit fire. I love that they brought in Ke Huy Quan as Short Round. He was hilarious. Again, the only things that got the yuck factor from me was the dinner sene at the palace and the tunnel sene with all the crunchy bugs.

I loved seeing Sean Connery come in and play Indie's dad. I thought that was a brilliant move. They had such good chemistry with each other. I think this movie had the best one liners in the whole series. The only thing to gross me completely out in this film was when the guy at the end chose the wrong cup.

This has got to be one of the best damn movies of the 80's. What a great cast. I can't imagine anyone not having seen this film, but if by some chance you haven't, you are missing out. There really isn't anyother film like this out there. It is a true one of a kind. A brilliant and unique idea. Well writen and directed. The special effects aren't as spectacular as they once were, but remember this was made in 84. They didn't have then what we have now. If you love this film check out the second film, (that is if you haven't already), it isn't as good as the first, but it is still equaly as funny. Highly recommended for all ages. Still a fav and always will be!

This one is not as good as the first one. However it is still equaly as funny and very enjoyable in it's own right. It does not rehash the original storyline and other than seeing what happened to the Ghostbusters since the first film, it does not link itself to the original storyline. If you loved the first film you will love this one as well.

I personally believe this is James Cameron's best film. I never get tired of seeing this film and I can't imagine how anybody could make it through the 80's without seeing this film. Brilliant story line, great direction and of course spectacular special effects. I absolutely love the design of the Aliens in this film, they are beautiful and magical. I highly recommend this film to everyone. A must see for any movie buff. And a wonderful edition to any movie collection.

This movie use to crack me up and it still does to this day. It is wonderful to have something that captured Andre the Giant forever. Such a sad loss it was when he passed. This is the first film I ever saw Carey Elwes in and I just fell in love with him when I was younger. Actually he is still good looking, lol. Anyhow if you have not seen it, it is a brilliantly done film. You have everything in it and it is wonderfully entertaining. A must have for any movie buff.

Ok I understand why guys are constantly putting this film down, but it isn't really a chick flick, it is a life flick. I believe everyone should see this film atleast once in their lives. It is a powerful film, about friendship, family, love, life and death. Even though the sad scenes are hard to watch, it still stands out as one of the funniest films ever made. A wonderfull cast was put together for this film, full of legends and up and comers. each scene blends perfectly into the next. Based on the real life experiences of one man, the writer and creater of this film, it is a loveing tribute to his sister. Her story lives on in this captivating film. A must see for all.

You are not an 80's fan if you do not have thie series in your movie collection. I remember seeing this film when I was a little girl and how amazed I was at the idea of a car that could travel through time. I thought that car was the coolest thing out there. Ok I have grown up and now know that isn't so, I mean the car itslef, not the idea. But still this movie held magic for me and still does to this day. I can't imagine anyone out there not having seen this film already, but if it just happens that you have not. I highly recommend you see it.

The next installment! I loved this film as much as the first. Seeing the possible future. I use to believe we would really have flying cars by now. I think this movie shows why it might not be a good thing to have a time machine. If you loved the first film I am sure you will love this one.

The third installment. This one is not as fantastic as the first two, however I did love that they decided to go back to the old west. That was some fun! I loved seeing how they were going to have to deal with the times to get back to the future. I think this one was the funniest of the three and it was nice to see Doc. Brown fall in love. If you loved the first two, I think you will enjoy this one as well.

Ok my friends and I watched this movie over and over so many times growing up. I use to bracticly know every line from it. We laughed ours heads off and still to this day I get a big kick out of it. Brilliantly done. I love that we finally had a combinding of Warner Brothers and Disney Characters. One of the best senes was watching Donald and Daffy go at it on the Pianos. Anywho if you have never seen it. It is a great film for all ages. I guarentee it.

I found this movie to be actually pretty funny. To each his own I guess. It is just one of those films that is rediculously stupid and there fore makes it funny. It may not be the best work done by the comedic genous' that are in it, but it still is an original and entertaining. If you like weird comedy you will like this film. Who does not want to see John Candy in drag? Either way this movie is a check it out and see for yourself. I like it even after all these years. Weird? Yes! Doesn't make much sense? But does all comedies make since?! No not really. All I can say it is different. For those who like the legends in comedy and weird comedy.

One of the most magical of all the Disney animated movies. This is such a wonderful adventure and was a nice chancge from the Grim's style fairy tales. It was nice to see them bring to life one of the Arabian Night stories. Robin Williams did such a wonderful job as the Geenie and had some of the funniest lines in the movie. A great film for all ages. I can't imagine anyone not having seen this film already.
