We Don't Live Here Anymore - R If you are depress and wanting to have something that could trigger a suicide, THIS IS IT! It was very depressing. You can summarize this movie with this sentence: "Hey! I don't love my wife but I love yours. We've been fucking for a long time. I think you knew it before but you do not compromise because you also do it with my wife" -the end- January 1, 2010

The Hours - PG-13 "Dear Leonard. To look life in the face, always, to look life in the face and to know it for what it is. At last to know it, to love it for what it is, and then, to put it away. Leonard, always the years between us, always the years. Always the love. Always the hours. - Virginia Woolf"

One of the most honest film I've seen. It is real and simple that could give a big impact to everyone who will watch this film. It will shake your principles and mindsets. It teaches the pursuit of happiness. Wherever our happiness may lead us we may follow it whatever it will take. Whether to change our own life or to end it itself.

This should win best picture not Chicago. This film is definitely one of the best. The idea of 3 women with interconnected life was great! The direction was flawless. The cast was great. The concept was so original. The way how Virginia Woolf's life affected Clarissa's and Laura's life. I think the pullback of the film is the film having no charm at all. It was a great film but forgettable. About the cast, I don't agree with Nicole Kidman being the lead actress. I would rather choose Julianne Moore. She was great in this film but she didn't "stand out" out of the three of them. Any way, The ending was nice. Everything is good about this film. I hope to see more quality films

Meet the Robinsons - G If you think your family's different, wait 'til you meet the family of the future.

Enjoyable. I really like this film especially the family itself. I really adored the FAMILY! I CAN'T PUT IT IN WORDS! The characters complimented each other. The character design really ROCKS!.

Meet the Robinsons is something that everyone will enjoy. Disney proved that they can do what others can do. They ventured on a whole new world of animation. When it comes to the story, I think it is a bit complex for kids. For me, I understood most parts of it but was confuse at some parts until the end. The animation is just okay. They were not able to match the greatness of Pixar but at least they have something to "say" about the animation.

If there is something that the film would signify it is to believe in your own capability. To surpass what you think is impossible to yourself. Like Lewis did, he believed in himself and eventually succeeded.

Last Holiday - PG-13 Enjoy yourself . . . It's later than you think!

This movie is stuck in my head. It is a great story about a life full of regrets and pullbacks transformed to a life without hold backs and fear. There is literally nothing special about this film but I don't know where this kind of attachment to this film I had. There is this certain UGH! in this film.
Maybe it's the charm the cast gave me or something else. Words are not enough to describe this film. Watch it and bear with me.

The Polar Express - G What an adventure?! This film is like a roller coaster of everything. I almost felt that I was in a theme park. The film had great points in it, but too much adventure can lead you to a heavy jet lag. Almost a great movie but too much. December 20, 2009

Oldboy - R "15 years of imprisonment, five days of vengeance

A very appealing film. I never thought that a very intricate film would be very clear and vivid as this one. There is a great mind at the back of this film. The story clearly integrates as the film runs along. You can clearly say its a Korean film because of the scores and shots.

It shows a great difference yet a big connection between darkness and comedy. It always reveals something in every second. No boring moment. Every character has something to say about the story. The way the film was delivered was awesome. Great cinematography!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The film was consistently complex.

This film is part of the vengeance trilogy of Park Chan-wook. I am very much hoping to see Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. After seeing thid movie makes me think, who really needs vengeance? Is it Lee Soo-ah, Lee Woo-jin or Oh Dae-su? For me, it is Mi-do. The rest, you should know. WATCH IT PEOPLE!

Julie & Julia - PG-13 "Passion. Ambition. Butter. Do You Have What It Takes?"

Julie and Julia talks about the relationship between two distant women both seeking an escape from their own issues. Julie having sort of a midlife boredom and insecurity from her friends. On the other hand, Julia. A married woman from America that transferred to Europe because of her husband's work. She doesn't have a child. Julia felt depression by not having any child.
Both of them found their own escape from their problems. Julie cooking Julia's food and Julia publishing the book.

The Negative:

The film makes us believe that there is a similarity between the both women. But I think that they do not have anything, as in nothing, same. They just connect because of Julie's desire to follow Julia. Nora Ephron is a bit trying-hard to connect the two of them. Another thing I completely hate about this film is the dullness of Julie's life. There is no way her life is as cute and cuddly as Julia's life. I do not think there is too much of her in the film as everybody does but her life is just boring. Amy Adams did a great job but there is something wrong.

The Positive:

After all that I've said, I really like the film. There is this great chemistry between Adams and Streep even though they do not have any scene together. They connect but their characters do not. There is a bit of a connection between their husbands. They are both supporting to their wives. I did not see their similarities but I saw their differences. Their differences made the film for me. In my perspective, it is a tale of two women both loves cooking but hates their life. Their similarities are their difference

Paranormal Activity - R Not scary but haunting. Looks like you'll get scared after watching the film not while watching it. The movie gave the "scary aftertaste". Great job. If you're planning a sequel, better not. December 19, 2009
