Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
by IngelaThis is a more a "girls" film, entertaining and heartwarming with my favorite Frances Mc Dormand who is always great.
See it a rainy, boring day for some positive stimulation....Guys, I hope you don't get tired of all the recommendations I'm sending you. If you are-just let me know.
It's just that after have finished a tiring tourist season here in Santorini, we encourage ourself with at least two films (downloaded)a day.

Derailed
by IngelaPredictable psychological thriller. I only give it 3 stars because of the good cast and the good acting. When you understand aprox. how the story will end after 30 min.-then forget it!!
Can't say I recommend it!

House of Sand and Fog
by IngelaLike a Greek tragedy, this film is about our hopes, dreams, desires but also fears and struggles in life.
Extremely good acting by the whole cast, specially Kingsley is doing a brilliant performance.
It is not a film to watch if you want to be cheered up, though...Hey, you should really see this!

Burn After Reading
by IngelaPitt as a naive, gym addicted, personal trainer. Frances MacDormand as middle aged woman who wants to become "renovated". Malcovich as an angry CIA analyst who is forced to quit because of his "drinking problem". Tilda Swinton as his "cold bitch" wife and Clooney as a married but unfaithful womanaizer who becomes a murderer.... Very good performances, specially Brad Pitt and my favorite Frances McDormand.
It is hilarious, crazy and dark comedy which I found to be slightly boring even with its great cast and directors. My favorite Coen film is still Fargo!Hey, you should really see this!

Original Sin
by IngelaWhen I finally saw this one I got a bit dissapointed. With Jolie and Banderas together I expected a much better film. Jolie is very good but Banderas could have done much better. He used to be so brilliant in Almodovars films but since he moved to Hollywood he just don't seem to be able to do any deep or trustful performances.
I love the cinematography though and after have been to Cuba myself, I love the surrondings where it's being filmed also. It's an OK film but nothing more.This one is OK but the overall impression is not great...
