First of all it is Tarantino's best movie by a long shot. Second of all it is my favorite movie of all time. I completely and utterly love this movie. The acting, directing, writing, everything about this movie was brilliant. I loved this film in every way you could imagine. It is fantastic. Samuel L. Jackson's character, Jules, is one of the best characters in a movie. This is also Samuel L. Jackson's greatest performance. I know what you are thinking, he has been brilliant in a lot of films but I am serious. THIS IS HIS BEST PERFORMANCE IN A MOVIE!!!!!!!!

This may not be my personal favorite movie of all time but I definately believe this is the best movie ever made. Personally it's my second favorite movie of all time. xD But still it's probably the best ever made. I have never seen a movie so perfect in every aspect. When you think about a movie that gives you all of the things that you love this is the film that you think of. This movie is just absolutely phenominal!!!! It's flawless and utterly fabulous to watch. If any person sits and watches this movie and says that they don't like it they might as well just stop watching movies now. If you say this movie isn't good then you have major issues and might as well just fall off the face of the earth right now.
The acting in this film is just amazing and fun to watch. Tim Robbins gives a performance that will never be topped and never has been. Probably one of the best performances ever given. He puts so much emotion and feeling into this role and shows it brilliantly. Morgan Freeman has given many brilliant performances in his career and gives us nothing short of that in this film. He does what he does best. The others in this film including, William Sadler, Bob Gunton, and Clancy Brown all do wonderful jobs supporting the main two stars. Clancy Brown really plays a dick to perfection. It seems to me that he always plays a dick. >_>
This is a movie that I can watch many many times and I have watched it many times and will continue to watch it. I'll watch this until I die. This is the best prison movie ever made and will never be topped. Others have come close but none will ever surpass this. Everyone needs to see this film and you probably won't be able to just watch it once. It's such a wonderful and truly touching story. If you haven't seen it go out and rent it NOW!!! It's a brilliant film you definately can not miss out on this one.

It took me a while to see this movie. I really had no desire to watch it at all. Mainly, because Brad Pitt was in it. I have never been a big fan of Brad Pitt. I didn't think he could act and I just didn't like him. But one day for some odd and strange reason I decided that I wanted to watch it. Mainly, because I decided that Edward Norton was enough to watch this movie. Man, am I happy that I decided to watch it. This movie was just plain phenomenal. I loved it. It was great.
The performances that Brad Pitt and Edward Norton give are wonderful. Brad Pitt showed that he can act finally. I never thought that I would see a movie where he actually showed acting skills. Edward Norton was just great. He has been great in everything I have seen him in though so we already knew he could act.
This is just a great movie with an awesome story line, one of the greatest twists ever seen in a movie, and great acting jobs. This is a must see for everyone. It is more of a guys movie but I know a lot of women that enjoyed it too.

FUCKING UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! That was the first thought that came into my head after watching this film. WOW!!! Where to even begin with this one.....
I will add that Heath Ledger is the fucking man though and it's so sad to think that we will never get another AMAZING performance like this from him ever again. Heath stole the show as the Joker. When you watch this film you don't see Heath Ledger. You see the "creature" that he became. He took the role of Joker and became him. Such an eerie, creepy, scary, and down right amazing performance given by him. None of this is being said by me because the guy died at a young age. No...this is well deserved props for him. He stole the show as The Joker and never let it go. Heath does at least deserve a nomination for this role but I think it's a long shot for him to ever win the award. He missed out on his chance at an Oscar with Brokeback another movie in which I feel he deserved an Oscar for. But this performance is definately better than his performance in Brokeback. None the less, this was an incredible performance and a role that I will NEVER forget.
The movie as a whole was perfect. Christian Bale and Aaron Eckhart threw in great performances as well but they were definately overshadowed by Heath's performance.
I think this is definately the best movie of 2008 thus far. I think it a long with Heath Ledger should be nominated for Oscars. The Dark Knight for best picture obviously and Heath Ledger for best actor. I think that if The Lord Of The Rings can be nominated and win Best Picture than The Dark Knight should definately be nominated. It is the best movie of 2008 thus far and I can't think of anything that is coming out later this year that should or could be better.

This is another one of those movies where I just have to sit there and say it was BRILLIANT!!!!! This is by far Christopher Nolan's best work and probably one of the best directed movies ever made. Just the way the film was done has never been done before.
When I first watched this movie I thought it was great but it was confusing so I watched it again and I was like Whoa this isn't just great it's fantastic. The beauty of this movie is the fact that everytime you watch it you find something new that you didn't notice or catch. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen and it truly is a masterpiece.

I recently bought the 15th. Anniversary Edition of this movie and it is absolutely phenominal. I'm glad I waited to buy this movie because I love this 15th. Anniversary Edition. I've wanted to re-watch this movie for some time now so I can write an honest review for it well now is my time.
First of all, Quentin Tarantino, this is his first movie that he wrote and directed and it's rare that you have a debut as good as this one is. Tarantino's movies are so wonderfully directed and this one starts it all off. I love the dialogue that has become so famous in Tarantino movies. There is a lot of dialogue. I also love the actors that he picks and he usually sticks with the same ones which I really like. In this one the acting is no different, it's phenominal. Tim Roth in my eyes gives the best performance. But everyone else in it also does a fantastic job.
I don't understand why so many people dislike such a phenominal film. This is one of my favorite movies of all time.

WOW!!!!! There isn't a word in any dictionary that would describe this movie and do it justice. After watching this I didn't know what to say. All I could really get out was "That was kick ass!!" Even now I don't really know what to say because nothing I say will give you the full effect of how much I loved this masterpiece.
This is by far the greatest theater experience I have ever had. You can't look at these as movies when you watch it it's an experience that you can not miss and you will never forget. This is something that you have to go to the theater and experience. If you illegally download it or wait for it to come to DVD you won't get the full feel of how amazing it really is.
I'll start with the fake movie trailers. They were so grotesque and so cheesy, yet at the same time they were so great and absolutely hilarious. You can not help but laugh out loud on the fake movie trailers. They are unforgettable. Just remember. "If...you...think....about.... opening......that....door.....DON'T!!"
Moving on to "Planet Terror." The first thing I have to talk about with this movie is the job of Freddy Rodriquez. He was brilliant. He was so bad ass as this character. He just had a cool and showed emotion so well and was just fantastic. This movie keeps you on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what happens next. Also, you can't miss QT's appearance in the film. He always finds ways to make his presence known. It's full of action, blood, and gore. I don't want to reveal too much and it's so hard not to. I just want to talk about this movie so bad it was..WOW!!!!
Now time to move on to "Death Proof." This was just QT doing what it is that QT does. ^_^ The film was full of dialogue and character building, the two things that QT has been know to focus on the most. Although, there was a little too much unnecessary character building in this movie. He seemed to focus too much on that in this one. But there was also enough action and suspense and blood to keep you interested. Some parts you just almost feel a little bored. But it more than makes up for it especially with the kick ass car chase and the ending. Again, you can't miss QT's appearance in this one either. After a second viewing of this over the weekend I have come to a conclusion. If you look at Death Proof as a Tarantino flick rather than a B-grade horror film it's really an excellent film. Ignore what I previously said. Both of these movies are great and I can't choose my favorite of the two.
Overall, this is an experience that can not be missed and you can not wait until it comes out on DVD. You have to go right now to the theater and watch it. :P Or the next chance you get works too. So far 2007 has continued to satisfy me and I have not been let down by any of the movies I have seen. This is right there with 300 as my favorite movie of the year. I can't really say one movie was better than the other. But the experience that comes with this one is by far the best ever and I can't see it ever being beat. Rodriguez outdoes Tarantino here but both movies are still great.
This movie has done shitty in the box office and it doesn't make any sense to me. This movie was great and deserves more respect than it is getting. >_< I hate movie watchers these days. They are missing out on a FANTASTIC film!!!!!!!!
GO WATCH IT NOW!!!!!!!

(2007, R)
There are many many words that you can use to describe this movie but none of them will even come close to describing how phenominal this movie really is. I expected a lot out of this movie and it even exceeded those expectations.
This movie gripped me to my seat from the very beginning and never let me go. This is by far the best movie I have seen of 2007. I can't even imagine a movie being better than this but we'll just have to wait and see. Not only is it my favorite movie of the year but it is also one of the best movies I have seen in a very very long time.
The special effects were one of the best things about the movie. Everything about it just looked so realistic. The blood splattering and the tearing of the skin when someone got stabbed or something cut off. Also the soundtrack with the movie, oh God. The music that they played during the battle scenes added so much to the scenes.
Another great thing about the movie is the acting. I have heard everyone talk about Gerard Butler but I guess I have watched the wrong movies because I never really saw anything that was all that great. Until now. Butler was amazing in this movie as the King Leonidas. He brought so much energy and angst and emotion to this role. All of the other actors did a great job in this movie. They all just brought a lot of emotion to their roles. They did a great job of making you feel what they felt. There is one scene in particular in which you feel the pain of one of the soldiers.
I loved everything about this movie even more than what I thought I would. I had really really high expectations for this movie. It was one of my most anticipated movies of 2007. It exceeded every expectation that I had for it. I hope the expectations continue to be met or exceeded by the other movies of the year. The next test is April 6th. ^_^
Everyone needs to go out and watch this movie the first chance they get. It is a must see.
If I see one more ignorant person on Flixster say anything about this movie being not correct historically I'm going to kill them. The movie doesn't claim to be based on actual events. It's based on Frank Miller's graphic novel. Get it right people and shut the hell up.

This movie was just, there is only one way to describe it...fantastic!! Yet so sick and twisted and wierd but also at the same time it had some nice humor that made the movie that much better. This movie is also very quotable there are so many great and memorable lines in this movie.
The character Patrick Bateman is one of the wierdist ones I have seen in a movie. He was just so creepy and sick and yet still so charming. Makes you wonder how one man can be so sick. The most amazing part of the movie though is Christian Bale's performance as this sick and twisted man. He gives his best performance ever in this movie. Not even his performance as Batman can outdo this one. He showed a variety of emotions in this movie that we have yet to see in any of his other films. He made you believe the character and put a lot of emotion and work into this role. His performance was so wonderful that it makes you wonder if he could really be like this. It was just such a believable performance by Mr. Bale.
The supporting cast did what they had to do to support Bale's brilliant performance. There definately wasn't going to be any spotlight stealing from that magnificent performance. But they did their part to support him.
If you haven't seen this movie yet go out and find it tonight and watch it. Be put in complete awe of the performance that Christian Bale delivers and enjoy a very sick yet humorous movie. Beware of a few graphic sex scenes. But despite that this movie is just brilliant.

Why did I put off seeing this movie for so long? Why didn't I watch this movie when it first came out? What was I thinking? First of all this movie was banned from the theatres in the U.S. because it's about vigilantes and this movie came out around the time that all the school shootings were going on.
Anyways, to the movie. For those of you that may not know this movie is about two Irish guys, that are kick ass by the way, get told by God to rid the world of the criminals in the world. Mainly the Russian mafia. Anyways, so they go through and kill all of these people and they have this prayer that they say and the prayer is so awesome and brings a really cool feel to the movie.
The acting in this movie was outstanding as well. Sean Patrick Flanery and Willem Dafoe were by far the best. Despite the fact that Willem Dafoe got on my nerves. Norman Reddus also did a pretty good job in this movie.
This is a fantastic movie and if you haven't seen it then you need to go out and rent it or even buy it. It's definately worth the buy. This is one of those movies where you are actually cheering for the ones doing the crime. This movie also has a lot of re-watchability.
Who could ever forget the prayer that they recite when they kill people either? ^_^
"and shepherds we shall be, for thee my Lord for thee, power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command, we shall flow a river forth to thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine patris, et filii, et spiritus sancti"

As I previously stated, I thought Two Towers was going to be my favorite of the trilogy. I didn't think it could be outdone. Man was I wrong. This is my favorite of the trilogy. I could not imagine a better ending to a trilogy. This one had a mixture of it all. You had the action and fight scenes and you also had the dramatic side of it with Frodo and the ring. You feel his pain as he carries such a burden with him. You also feel the power of friendship between Sam and Frodo. Towards the end when Sam said "I can't carry it for you but I can carry you!" Right there you saw what a friend would do to help get rid of the pain and the agony that your friend is going through. Now to the characters. My favorite character of the trilogy is Legolas played by Orlando Bloom. I really could not tell you what it was about him that made me like him so much. His character was so awesome and Orlando Bloom played the part so great. This was virtually the first thing that we had seen Orlando Bloom in. He was in another movie but he was killed in the only scene he was in. :S
Another actor that was in other movies but really stood out in this movie is Viggo Mortenson. He had been in so many movies before this trilogy but he never stood out he definately stood out in this trilogy, he was brilliant. Then you've got Elijah Wood and Sean Astin playing Frodo and Sam. These two just worked so well together you got such a great feeling from these two it was like they were friends in real life. There was just such great acting in this whole trilogy. Karl Urban played one of the riders of Rohan, nephew to the King of Rohan and did a great job. The only thing I wish was Sean Beans character, Boromir would have been in the trilogy longer.
This trilogy will become a classic no doubt about it and I will watch it till the end of time. This is a trilogy that I can watch over and over again. I love everything about it. There are so many fight scenes and memorable scenes that I will never forget. I think the thing I like the best about this movie was the message that I picked up from it. I don't know if it's just me but......even the smallest of people can make a difference in this world. :D

Why did it take me so long to watch this movie? Why did I not watch this when it first came out? I don't know what in the hell I was thinking because I was missing out on a brilliant film by not watching this one. I can't believe I waited so long to watch this movie. It was absolutely phenominal. I was gripped from the beginning and it never let me go. I loved the reference to The Count of Monte Cristo and I think it's the perfect favorite movie for a guy like V that is looking for revenge himself.
Next question, Natalie Portman can act? I sure as hell didn't know she could. But damn the performance she gave in this movie was off the hook. She was brilliant and stunning and damn did she look good in that pink skirt. :P Also, Hugo Weaving as V was perfect. He was spectacular as V. I wasn't really to sure how he would do as one of the lead roles in a movie but he was spectacular. The supporting actors in this movie did a great job at doing what they are supposed to do and that's support the lead roles. The acting in this movie was just great.
Everything about this movie was great. The story, the directing, the acting, everything. I highly recommend this movie to everyone. Just watch it once because you will be glued to the screen. It's just such a phenominal movie to watch.

If it wasn't for The Count of Monte Cristo and V For Vendetta this would be my favorite revenge movie of all time. But it is a very close third to those two films. I also for some reason had never seen this film and really had no interest in seeing it. But, the movie crossed my mind the other day and I decided to go ahead and give it a whirl. I had heard lots of good things about it and I've got to say that I'm very impressed. This movie was fantastic!! With lots of great action and a lot of emotion in the storyline. The movie in whole is very emotional because of the untimely death of Brandon Lee during the filming of the movie.
The performance given by Brandon Lee in this film is memorable in so many ways, not just because it is his last performance. He gives a great performance in this film he definately put a lot of emotion into this role and showed a lot of promise. It would be interesting to see where he would be if not for his death. The rest of the cast does an excellent job at supporting Lee's performance.
This is a fantastic movie that I would recommend to anyone. All movie lovers could enjoy this film no matter what genre you enjoy the most. This movie has a little bit of it all. But also watch it to see Brandon Lee in what is his last and most memorable performance. You will not be sorry.
R.I.P. Brandon Lee

I was always so afraid about watching this movie because I wasn't sure how much I would like it. But I finally decided to sit down and give this movie a watch to see just how good it really was and to see if I had been lied to by so many people. I've got to tell you, people are definately right about this movie. It really is a brilliant film. This movie is so strange and can be hard to follow if you don't pay attention to it. This is one of those movies that will definately make you think and ask a lot of questions.
Jake Gyllenhaal gives a performance that he will never be able to top. He shows all different types of emotion in this role that he could never show in any other role. He shows anger, sadness, fear, and a lot of confusion. He also plays a role that his much younger than he was at the time this movie was made yet he looked like he was young and acted like he was that young. The supporting cast in this film did what they needed to support Gyllenhaals wonderful performance.
I like these psychological type movies the ones that really make you think. This one definately doesn't let you down in that aspect you will definately be thinking through out this whole movie. This is a phenominal film and one of my favorites of all time.

There are so many things I can say about this movie I don't even no where to begin. This movie is definately in my top 10 it could possibly slip into my top 5 though. I just totally and absolutely love this movie. I really had no desire to see this movie when I first saw previews for it. But, I decided to go ahead and watch it when it came out on DVD and guess what. I LOVED IT!!!!!! The performance in this movie were brilliant. This is by far the best performance by Clive Owen. I thought he was excellent in this movie. Also, Mickey Rourke, I am so glad that he has started doing movies again. He is a GREAT actor. He was very good in this too.

For some reason I had not seen this movie yet and I really don't understand why I haven't. I loved this film. I loved everything about this movie. I loved the idea of the fake documentary about a fake rock band. Rob Reiner came up with a fabulous idea when making this movie. I didn't find this movie as funny as I have heard a lot of people describe it as. There were a lot of great quotes in this movie and a lot of funny parts. But I had heard many people say it was hilarious all the way through. Despite that fact I still love this film.
The acting in this movie was outstanding. They made the band feel so real. It was really funny seeing the actors in these roles after seeing them in other movies. Michael McKean was excellent and very funny in this movie along with Christopher Guest. There also were a couple cameos in this movie by Fran Drescher and Billy Crystal.
This movie has many funny and memorable quotes that you will never forget. I recommend everyone to watch this movie whether you are a music lover or not. It's just a great movie.

"Say hello to my little friend." That is probably the most popular line from a movie. This movie was excellent. It took me a long time to finally watch it. I think I just watched it a couple years ago. But anyways, I loved this film. This is one of Al Pacino's best performances ever, if not THE best. Anyways, everyone needs to watch this movie at least once. I haven't heard too many people say they disliked it. For the most part everyone enjoys it even if it's a slight bit.

This one became my favorite of the trilogy after I watched it. I liked that this one had more action and fighting to it. The Battle of Helms Deep is one of the best fight scenes that I have ever seen and the Academy awarded it for that. The story grows more in this film. You see Sauromom defeated and taken completely out of the equation. You start seeing more and more of the struggle that Frodo is having with carrying the ring. You also meet Gollum in this movie. I think Gollum kind of stole some of the show in this movie. You almost started to like him in this one and also almost started to feel sorry for him.

First of all, this is my favorite sports movie ever made and secondly it's in my top 20 of favorite movies ever. It's not just about football though it's also about the struggle with racism that they had to deal with back in the day.
Denzel Washington gives probably his best performance in my eyes. His performance in this movie was just so strong and he showed the strength a black coach had to have in a white community.
This is just such an amazing movie and it's so powerful. Everyone can enjoy this movie wether you like football or not. It's just such an amazing story to see.

SUPERMAN IS BACK AND BETTER THEN EVER!!! I wasn't expecting a whole lot out of this movie. I figured they were just going to ruin the Superman movies with this. I especially wasn't sure how good a soap star was going to do playing the man of steel. Man was I wrong.
Brandon Routh could not have been more perfect for the role of Superman. He looks so much like Christopher Reeves that it isn't even funny. He could so pass as Reeve's son. Kevin Spacey is perfect for the role of Lex Luthor. I could not have imagined anyone better for the role. Spacey was absolutely brilliant in this film. Kate Bosworth on the other hand, I so think they could have picked someone better for Lois Lane. She wasn't that good at all. Brian Singer did an excellent job bringing Superman back. He stuck with the music that normally goes with Superman especially the opening credits. I also like how he used Marlon Brando's lines from the original movies as Jor-El. That was a wonderful honor for Marlon Brando.
This movie is great. Superman is definately back. You don't even have to be a Superman fan to enjoy this movie. The special effects were brilliant. The casting overall was brilliant. All in all just a wonderful movie. I have heard a lot of people saying how bad this movie was. Well, I completely disagree because it was great. I can watch it over and over and over again. ^_^

I just recently bought this movie on DVD recent being about a week ago. I saw it for a very cheap price like $3.44 or something like that and just had to buy one because it's a classic and two it's in my top 15 favorite movies of all time.
Paul Newman just has the cool to him that you see in a lot of his movies. He is one of the best actors to ever grace the big screen. He has been doing it for many years and this is one of his best. Just the way he carries himself makes him perfect for this role. You also see a young Dennis Hopper in this movie which is funny to watch because he is so young but he looks the same as he does now.
But, I really haven't watched too many older movies in fact I believe this is the oldest movie I have seen. After watching this movie it has made me want to watch some more of the older movies particularly Paul Newman movies because he is such a great actor.

The beginning of what would become my favorite trilogy ever made. When this movie first came out I had no desire to watch it or get into this trilogy. It just wasn't my type of movie so I thought. For some reason, I bought the DVD and finally watched it and I got hooked. This is my least favorite of the three movies. Which isn't saying much because I rate them all at 5 stars. So really I love all 3 of them. This one is just a little bit slower and gets the story going for you. It needed to be done of course and it was done amazingly. I love the cast that they put together for this trilogy as well. They got some well known actors and also some actors that have been in movies but haven't really stood out.

The Coen brothers are at it again but this is by far their best work. I honestly don't know why I hadn't seen this movie before. But I was missing out big time. This movie has a little bit of it all. This movie is truly just a fantastic movie. Everything about it is fantastic.
Jeff Bridges gives the performance of a lifetime in this movie as "The Dude." I never would have imagined him pulling of a role such as this one. But he did and then some. He exceeded every expectation I had for him in this movie. This is by far my favorite performance that he has ever given. He was absolutely hilarious. So many of his lines were memorable and quotable. He was just fantastic. John Goodman is an actor that I typically don't care for he usually isn't all that funny. But he was great in this movie as well. He needs to have more performances like this one. Steve Buscemin had a fairly small part which sucks because I really enjoy watching him. But when he was in it he was really good at supporting Bridges and Goodman. All in all the entire cast was brilliant and they did their job. But there was nothing they could really do to touch the performance given by Bridges.
If you haven't seen this movie yet watch it. It's hilarious and by far the Coen brothers best work.

I just re-watched this film last night. I just felt the urge to watch it again because it had been so long since I last seen it. I also felt that it deserved a better review than the one that I originally typed up on here. :P I absolutely love this movie. I love this movie more and more everytime I watch it.
I especially love the performance given by Ashton Kutcher in this film. This is a performance that I don't think he will ever be able to outdo. This is definately his best performance in any movie of his that I have seen. He showed his true ability to act. Yes he is good in the comedies and he is funny. But, in this film he showed how he can be in a serious role and he was briliant. I'd love to see him in a few more serious roles at some point in his career. I felt the rest of the cast did what they could do to support Ashton's performance. There wasn't going to be any outdoing going on in this film.
Overall I thought this was a brilliant film. I didn't really know how much I was going to like it when I first heard about it. It definately exceeded all of my expectations that I had for it. I bought the DVD and I loved the alternate endings they added to the film. My favorite ending if I had to choose one is probably the one when he is in the womb he wraps the umbilical cord around his neck. I think that is the coolest thing, far-fetched I know but still cool.
Anyways, this is a movie that every should see, it's a GREAT film. I personally think it is worth a buy as well. So go out and buy the DVD and enjoy a great movie.
