Eyes Wide Shut R

An amazing movie. I loved every second of it. Tom Cruise was great for this role, with his confidence and ability to pull off that stiff 90s characterization. His and Kidman's acting was great. I thought the movie shed light to the common conception of sexual exploration in American society. Peoples' obsession with power, sexuality, and greed, which ultimately drives their personal relationships apart. Kubrick pulls off another great job as the director. While the plot is seemingly dull at moments, Kubrick is able to keep your attention into the movie through his great us of the landscape and lighting. I recommend this movie.

Trainspotting R

Acting is great. McGregor plays a great drug addict. The cinematography is beyond words. The scene when McGregor goes 'cold turkey' should be studied by film students.
