Wow! Loved this movie. My friend I watched this with said it best "it's one of those movies where you don't want it to end". I totally agree, I hated the ending because it was the ending. The way the movie started, I knew I would like it in the first 5 minutes. Robert Downey Jr at his best! Keanu, Winona, and Woody all were great. So much better with animation, so much more real. I think this is the most I've written in a review so that means go see this movie!
Does that make me disturbing that I enjoyed this movie? A lot? Christian Bale was so charming and menacing it was scary, and that was great! Waited a long time to see this.....what others are like this I wonder? Anyone?
My first Marilyn Monroe movie and I loved it! So funny! If you have never seen her films (and who are you btw?) check out this one. How can you go wrong with men in drag?
Wow! I loved this movie! Best Batman ever! I didn't like Val Kilmer as Batman and I really didn't like George Clooney as Batman. I thought who can take the place of Michael Keaton. Ummm Christian Bale can! I loved everything about this movie, it was by far the best Batman movie ever! All the actors, all the scenes, the whole story line, why did I wait so long to see this movie? If you haven't seen this Batman, or if you have never seen a Batman movie and by the way who hasn't, forget the rest and go see this one!
Watched this again for the millionith time today. Classic must see love story.
John Cusack was so damn cute. Ione Skye did get on my nerves a little being the sweet girl but hey she got to cuddle with Cusack!
First time I noticed that Jeremy Piven had a small roll in this movie.
If you haven't seen this yet, go rent it now! Or better yet, check your cable because it usually is on somewhere.
Who can forget the ultimate scene from this movie?
I love how Guido was funny and full of life until the very end. This movie captured what it was like to be taken away to the concentration camps but does it in a more uplifting way. I mean instead of showing all the horrors since we do get a glimpse, it shows how one man was able to make the whole experience better for his loving son. It deserved all the awards it won.
I have wanted to erase some memories I have but I think it's the bad memories that keeps my hope alive that I will have more good memories. Does that makes sense? If not, go see this movie and maybe it will. And if that doesn't work, stop reading my reviews.
Finally got to see this movie and I'm so glad I did! Excellent directing by Ben Affleck and great storyline. The whole movie just moved along nicely and kept you interested in what was happening and wondering what happened to the little girl. Amy Ryan did a great job and it is too bad that she didn't win the Oscar. Morgan Freeman was good as always and he felt right for this role, being the Captain and the desperate father that lost his own child. Kudos to Casey Affleck for leading this movie. He showed no fear in going about finding the little girl, even when his own life was placed in danger. I really liked how he didn't care what anyone said to him, he did what he had to do and what he felt was right. What he ended up doing is up to the movie goer to determine whether they agree with him or not. This is the type of movie I've been wanting to watch for a long time! If you haven't seen this movie yet, you don't know what you are missing!!
This is a fun movie to watch. I think Michael Keaton was the best pick to be Johnny Dangerously. He has that cocky way about him and the way he looks at the camera and says hey kids, perfect! I first saw this movie years ago when I was too young to know it was a spoof on gangster movies. Imagine my surprise when I saw The Godfather years later and realized mobsters weren't as goofy as Joe Piscopo in this one. The movie starts out like a lot of mobster movies with Johnny Kelly as a young boy trying to do right by his family but he is drawn into the gangster life when he sees it's the way to get his mom her pancreas back. I really liked Marilu Henner in this but it was Maureen Stapleton that steals the show. You gotta see this movie if you haven't already! C'mon you fargin icehole!
"After all, a person is a person no matter how small" This was a funny good movie to see on a Saturday afternoon in a theater packed with kids. I was a little worried seeing it at this time since I thought the kiddies would be talking through the whole movie but imagine my surprise when at one point, the whole theater was silent as Horton was searching for the dandelion. He kept calling for the mayor and after he sadly called mayor one last time, it was hilarious when a kid in the theater cried out "Mayor!". I think this was classic Jim Carrey and I loved him as Horton. He was so funny and did a great job being a jokester but also showing how important it was for him to keep his word. I liked Steve Carell as the Mayor but it really just sounded like Michael from The Office, but in a Who costume. Carol Burnett as Kangaroo was perfect and she complemented both Jim and Steve well. Or maybe they complemented her well. Overall it was a fun movie to watch and had heart. I will definitely buy this one when it is released! Take your inner child out and go see this movie!
This is definitely one of my guilty pleasures. I love love love when during the credits they start dancing to good vibrations. He will always be Marky Mark to me but I'm glad ahem Mark Wahlberg has shown Hollywood he can act. This is a feel good movie and I hope you are singing along like me.
