I am not going to run the whole movie down for you; I will just say that Emmerich offers yet another serious roller coaster ride of a disaster movie! John Cusack and cast did not disappoint and my only problem with the movie was how Cusacks character kept having one near miss after another- the limo, the plane, the crater, the volcanic explosions while getting away in a(lol) camper, another plane crash with a daring escape in a car out the back of the skidding plane on a mountain of ice and then drowning! Despite the lack of plausibility I did enjoy the film very much. Highly recommended to all disaster porn junkies!

I don't know how Rob Zombie did it but... you are actually rooting for the bad guy at the end of this one; it is the "Thelma and Louise" of horror movies! You gotta see "House of 1,000 Corpses" first though-check them out!

The whole "double feature" deal was genious and harkened back to the days when Drive-Ins were king! I enjoy this with a bucket of chicken and a six pack on a late saturday night- seriously, whenever it's on cable-there goes my night!

Except for The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile this is the best movie adapted from a stephen king book ever done-perhaps it was the presence of such a fine actor as John Cusack, or maybe the rewrites just got it right this time but... I really enjoyed it as much as if not more than the story from the book Everything's Eventual.
