About Me

OK so I'm an easy going and very open minded person, I am very passionate about movies although I wouldn't say I am a total movie addict because addictions are for the weak minded but they are a major part of my life because without them I wouldn't be able to get away from reality or form any dreams. I try to see as many movies as I can and I like to keep an open mind, I will watch any film at least once regardless of other people’s views because i like to have my own opinion on a movie so all recommendations are welcome.

Like I said I am passionate about movies and I love to hear other people’s views on movies so if you want to talk just post a comment or add me as a friend but only if you have the intention of using this site for its purpose which is to rate, review, recommend and chat about movies. I mean don't get me wrong I like chatting about other stuff too but I just ask that your main intention of using this site is movies :)

Please DO NOT add me if you:

> Don't have an MCT Score
> Don't have at least 100 ratings
> Are a serial Widget poster
> Haven't at least given my profile a quick glance

I apologize in advance is this seems unreasonable but this is a movie website so if you are a true movie fan then this shouldn’t be a problem for you anyway :)

The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005)

So what's it about? Ranch hand Pete Perkins looks to fulfill the promise to his recently deceased best friend by burying him in his hometown in Mexico.
My thoughts on the movie? Phenominal. This movie is now one of my favourite of all time, it is truly magnificent and i am finding it is very difficult for me to review because i simply cannot find the words that are needed in order to do the movie justice. All i can say is that unless you understand the point of the movie then chances are you won't enjoy it but those that do understand it will love it. This is the second movie i have seen that has been written by Guillermo Arriaga and i am completley addicted to his style of writing because it tells the story exactly how it would be told in real life and if people cannot understand the story then they really shouldn't be watching the movie. Once again Tommy Lee is outstanding and he just looks so suited in his role while there is also a magnificent performance from Barry Pepper who really seems to lose himself in the role and gives an emotion packed performance. The cinematography in this movie was some of the best i have ever seen with stunning scenery and a really creepy but comical soundtrack which was very fitting to the movie i thought, all credit has to go to Tommy Lee Jones for that as he shows in this movie that he has exceptional abilities as a director.

Dances with Wolves (1990)

So what's it about? Lt. John Dunbar, exiled to a remote western Civil War outpost, befriends wolves and Indians, making him an intolerable aberration in the military.
My thoughts on the movie? I don't believe that there is or ever will be a "Perfect film" because everyone has different tastes and there will never be a film that everyone loves however there can be films that a ideally suited to certain individuals tastes and therefore achieves perfection for them individuals. Dances With Wolves is the film that is most ideally suited to my tastes therefore I see it as the perfect movie to me and it doesn't matter if other people hate it or just thought it was average because to me it was ideal. I think this movie could become the best movie I have ever seen after I have watched it again because I have only seen it once so far so I think it would be unfair to my favourite movie of all time because I have seen that like five times. I made sure that I seen the 4 hour extended version of this movie and to be honest I really couldn't see how it could have been any shorter than that because there was not one thing I would take out of the movie. The acting was superb and the cinematography was absolutely stunning with some of the scenery at times being completely breathtaking in what was an astonishing directorial achievement from Kevin Costner. I would say Dances With Wolves is probably the most complete movie I have ever scene and there aren't really any words that I could use that would sum up how great this movie was so all I will say is that it is quite simply in the true sense of the word a Masterpiece.

21 Grams (2003)

Directed by: Alejandro González Iñárritu
Starring: Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Naomi Watts, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Melissa Leo
So what's it about? The effects that people can sometimes unknowingly have on each others lives and how they are connected in more ways than one.
My thoughts on the movie? An exquisite assault on the mind and the heart. I saw this movie about 3 years ago and after watching it I thought it was a good film but I never quite understood it because I was too young I suppose, after watching it again I now consider it as one of my favourite films of all time because I understood what it was about this time. There where some fine performances from every member of the cast and it was cleary a very well thought out movie which like no other I have experienced before.
Conclusion: I would say to anyone going to watch it that they should think of it as a puzzle and not a film and only then will they understand it fully.

OK, this has been done before, several times...and the whole, "I see Asian dead people" isn't scary or even creepy, but...

It was still better than I thought it was going to be, and it was nice to see Joshua Jackson in a halfways mainstream film for once. I do think he's a good actor who needs a new agent.

There was a "twist" in the middle which I figured out almost right away and a twist at the end which made it cool and enough to make it worth watching the DVD.

I will say that studios either need to abandon the whole genre tho entirely, or do something to liven it up a bit. Maybe a J horror-inspired ORIGINAL non-remake film that's not totally based on dead people haunting the living...
Good for fans of Joshua Jackson, or if you a fan of the genre. Otherwise, nothing too special.

Nothing to riveting here to be quite honest, but its an enjoyable film if you like romantic comedies. I did enjoy this film and usually Zellweger gets on my nerves pretty quickly but shes so perfect for this period in time and actually has good chemistry with Clooney.

Picking up where the first one leaves off, this second part is much better than the first one. Death Note: Last Name is more thrilling, has goods performances and has a few of really good twist.

    A worth of watch.
