Land of the Dead (2005, R)
Maybe to some people, Bub from Day of the Dead would always hold a special place in their hearts. Big Daddy, I wanted him dead before the movie even started. He really didn't give off the appearance of being dead, more like someone with a bad complexion. The rest of the cast was actually done fairly well since most of them were never in zombie movies before. There are some cameo appearances from some other zombie films, see if you can figure them out. |

The Video Dead (1987, R)
I remember watching this movie on late night creature feature films and though to myself, "Wow how scary would that be for zombies to come out of my television set!?!" After watching this movie I was hoping they would, and be more exciting than the movie. The concept was truly original but no real gore scenes made it feel like a made for TV Halloween special. |

Diary of the Dead (2007, R)
Several people I talked to absolutely hated this film. Granted I can't say that it is GAR's best work, I wouldn't say it is his worst. It was a refreshing look into outbreaks from a survivors point of view. I hope that a possible sequel is in the future, and no I am not talking about the ......of the Dead. It was tactfully done and certainly held my attention throughout the film, which is more than I can say for Land of the Dead. |

Day of the Dead (2008, R)
This ONLY reason why this movie received a half star was due to Ving Rhames. This film was total garbage and has certainly no right to utilize the Day of the Dead title. I can not begin to tell someone where this movie went wrong. Was is the wall crawling zombies? How about a vegetarian zombie? Man someone dropped the ball on this movie and never attempted to pick it back up. |
