| Music and Lyrics - PG-13 |
This has a different story line from all those typical and conventional love stories... but in the end it's a love story. Hugh Grant looks so old in this movie, but his character was quite entertaining. Drew Barrymore's character looks fresh and entertaining as well. I think they did a good job onscreen. Dialogues are a bit vague at times, and they lack depth at some point. But they used some lines that were just powerful. This flix inspired me to keep writing my poems. Nice. |

| Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre (Asterix and Obelix Meet Cleopatra) - PG | I saw this in french class and it was quite hilarious! | April 14, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Fun With Dick and Jane - PG-13 |
Nothing great about it. Typical Jim Carrey flix, not as good as other ones though. The plot was just stupid sometimes; I understand there were some good intentions by representing how the evil and misleading practices of big corporations made people lose their jobs and money, but at some point it started showing like if it is OK for a desperate family to steal from other people which was simply unacceptable. Definitely could have been better. |

Let's be real, I wanted to see this movie because of Hilary Swank, I still have very present her performance in Million Dollar Baby, even if this movie has a total different plot. Visual effects were merely ok, nothing great. The river of blood was sufficiently believable, and the rest of th plagues as well. But Swanks character was too small for her, she's too talented for this, but I loved her character and the way she played it. The rest of the characters really didn't have a part. Some might hate it, but I liked it =) |

| The Fifth Element - PG-13 |
The message this movie has is very beautiful and eye-opening. When it comes to visual effects, it feels so different to have seen it back in 1997, than seeing it now. Future stuff doesn't seem so future now, but it was well organized and well directed. Aliens are not of my taste, but I guess we're speaking of the whole UNIVERSE here. The fact that there is a Supreme Being such as Leeloo who is absolutely perfect makes this interesting. Again, nice message for the human race. |

| Dirty Dancing - Havana Nights - PG-13 | I saw this movie last night with my 16-year-old sis, and I see why she loves it. Well it's a cute love story going on with a political background, nothing more. There's not much about this flix, but the hot moves Cubans make. The blonde US girl made a nice presentation though. And the end was open and closed at the same time. Oh I forgot, Patrick Swayze makes an appearance here and he looks so old and with so much make up that he scared me! | April 5, 2007 | N/A | |||
| 300 - R | I just saw this movie today and let me tell you that it was more than I expected, especially beacause I don't really like war movies. Too many men, only one woman, but it was still entartaining. The battle scenes were the best, they were so well shot and the parts of slow motion were great for better appreciation. All the blood wasn't as nasty as in other movies. My particular favorite part was when the Queen spoke in front of the counsil. Narration was a bit slow, but it was good enough. What I didn't like about this flix, was the touch of fantasy it had, computer-like wolf, huge king, fake creatures, it all made it lost the reality of it, it's history we're talking about. But it was good. | March 29, 2007 | N/A | |||
| The Number 23 - R | It'a amazing the power that our mind has. Every obsession, every mistake, everything we do is because of our mind. It's a complete change that Carrey does playing in this movie, but I think he fit the character well, at least he convinced me. It's always intriguing and entertaining having to solve those mysteries with hidden keys and secrets, I enjoy it all the time. | March 24, 2007 | N/A | |||
| The Prestige - PG-13 | Definitely a clever flix, interesting plot, incredible ending. I was so amazed of the way the two main characters could get to a point of getting "their hands dirty" as Michael Caine said. Well directed and definitely well performed. So intriguing, as you watch it you keep on asking yourself questions. Although there was some foreshadowing that gave you a glimpse of what was going on, so I was not that surprised at the ending. Micheal Caine's narratory was well articulated, indeed one of the best of 2006 as many had said. | March 23, 2007 | N/A | |||
| V for Vendetta - R | Very interesting, well written, well acted, well directed. Some might think it was too politically based, but it's just reality. How things might get, and how we still have time to do things right. Definitely one of my favorites, Hugo Weaving does a fantastic job, it was so fulfilling just hearing him talk. | March 22, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Children of Men - R | I was recommended to see this film and it was very worth seeing! The plot is just so real and tangible, so intense, something right around the corner. It is shot in a way that it gets you thinking on how we might end up, if you come and think about it, it's not far from reality! Great performances by all the actors, and the environment was so overwhelming, I could almost feel the bullets onscreen. Definitely a work of art. | March 22, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Underworld: Evolution - R | I think this was a decent sequel, it continued the line of the first one and it explained a lot of things. The plot is all fantasy of course but I think it's quite interesting how they highlight important values such as brotherhood (marcus and william) and the protection of humanity by Alexander. It lacked good visual effects at some parts, and it had too much sex in it for this kind of film. Kate Beckinsale does a good job here, not her best though. | March 21, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Underworld - R | Interesting, even if it's about fantasy. Enjoyable. | March 20, 2007 | N/A | |||

| Scent of a Woman - R | I saw this movie with my dad and it was very touching, indeed one of Al Pacino's best performances. Interesting plot and well shot movie. | March 16, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Kramer vs. Kramer - PG | March 16, 2007 | N/A | ||||
| The Devil Wears Prada - PG-13 | Meryl Streep has become one of my favorite actresses after watching this film and Prime. I haven't seen many of her movies but she definitely lived her role in this one. I can see why she got nominated for the 14th time to the Oscars. The storyline is no great achievement, but this movie is very enjoyable, funny and sweet. At the end it makes you decide whether you would give up everything for a so called "dream job". | March 16, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Apocalypto - R | I expected so much more from this movie. It reduces to the sacrifices that the Mayans used to perform and to the survival of one in particular. It was well shot and the actors are very very convincing, the fact that the language spoken is their own is a very essential fact in the film. At the end i saw too much of nothing. | March 15, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning - R | What can I say about this movie, it has its thrill, it has a lot of blood and potrays the sadism, canibalism, and "psychoness" of the Hewitt family. Although I felt it wasn't a good prequel because it doesn't explain well the beginning story of the chainsaw massacre. | March 14, 2007 | N/A |
