I don't know from where to start... When I saw that this movie had Clive Owen, Paul Giamatti, and Monica Bellucci in it, I said damn i have to see that one. But I was very much disappointed. The story itself lacks so much, and let's not talk about the editing. You can totally see the doll he's carrying when he runs with the new-born. Some scenes just don't go together. It wasn't even that much fun to watch... |

Absolutely brilliant and hilarious. Once more I'm delighted to enjoy some wry british humor. Why can't all comedy movies be like this one or Hot Fuzz? Watch it... I can assure you, you won't regret it. You don't get the chance to get to know all of the characters that well, but that isn't an obstacle to enjoying their performances. |

First of all, I must say all performances were astonishingly well done. The story comes alive so intensely that you believe you're part of it. However I must say, that the war part was probably longer than what was expected. Joe Wright did an amazing job when it comes to bringing a book to the big screen. Indeed Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite movies, and Atonement is not left behind. |

This film could have been much better in many ways. There are many lose ends that conclude with nothing. Some details are a bit absurd, for example, how could it take him so long to discover HIS blood was the cure, and WHY his blood... The "vampires" were too fake for my taste, I expected something more realistic. It got too long at some point. |

I'm still not sure if I want to give this movie 3 stars or 3 stars and a half. There were two main story lines here: Mr. Brooks and Tracy Atwood (Demi Moore). For some reason, this movie would have been as good without Demi's appearance. Her part of the story is totally irrelevant and it fails to connect at the end. However, the psychological matter is well played and well presented. Costner does a good performance, an ambiguous character who wants to end his addiction but isn't able to. |
