Perfume: The Story of a Murderer - R I never read the book, but this story is so different, it has an impact. It opens your eyes to a different world, how this man Jean-Baptiste saw it.
I think the plot is great, uncommon of course, but it was interesting. Nasty scenes are abundant here, but they're all part of the world of senses, the world of smells.
Ben Whishaw really owned his character.

88 Minutes - R Pacino was just so charming in this movie, once again we see the quality of an actor that he is.
The story line was pretty interesting, nice and not-boring plot. Altough there were some unnecesarry characters like Mike, which is played by Ben Mackenzie.
Action scenes were pretty good, it makes you feel the thrill throughout the film.
Oh, I forgot. To my point of view, Leelee Sobieski lacked impact, she can't act as a villain. I remember I liked her work in the Glass House, but not here.

Premonition - PG-13 I think this movie could have been much better, no great shots, music is just plain. And the plot got pointless somehow throughout the movie.
There were times where two characters just stood quiet, when they could have come up with great dialogues, dialogues that would've made an impact on the audience.
I honestly saw this because I am a Sandra Bullock fan, but it's a shame it wasn't as great as it could've been.
Kudos for Sandra though.

The Illusionist - PG-13 Predictible ending, although it wasn't boring. Definitely gets your attention throughout the movie.
Paul Giamatti and Norton are just great, I loved their performances. And Jessica Biel y just Jessica Biel.
Different and interesting plot.

The Fountain - PG-13 This film could have been much better. My guess is that it failed to accomplish what the original idea stated.
Poor dialogues, confusing scenes.

Happy Feet - PG Fun, creative, enjoyable, and sweet. The only thing is I got lost at some point regarding the plot. But Robin Williams is just so hilarious that I enjoyed every minute of him talking with that latin accent as Ramon. June 8, 2007

Dreamgirls - PG-13 It was a nice movie, as for I saw, I think Jennifer Hudson definitely shines.
Since it's all about music, it got tiring at some point that I had to stop watching it. Performances by Murphy and Foxx were ok. Not much more to say.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End - PG-13 Definitely as enjoyable as the two first ones. Great shots and visual effects.

Once again, Jack Sparrow comes to delight us. Depp just makes a GREAT job as this pirate. His character is funny and even confusing at times.

The only negative thing was that I felt it way too long, and some shots were boring or even unnecesary (like Jack talking to his clones).

Bloom looks hot, but no further thing as in acting.

The Good Shepherd - R Interesting, but I just felt it was way too long. It got me very bored at times. There were some scenes that really caught my attention though.
Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon don't seem to age here, just that little detail.
It had some strong parts.

Freedom Writers - PG-13 It has an overused plot, good teacher dealing with rebel kids who don't care about school. But Swank's performance makes it worth watching. It was very inspiring and real. It depicts different realities and makes it into one. Great. May 21, 2007

Epic Movie - PG-13 DO NOT SEE THIS! I was practically forced to see it. IT IS CRAP! I wish there were NEGATIVE stars to rate this! half a star is still TOO GOOD. May 18, 2007

A Good Year - PG-13 Nice story line. I felt it lacked something, but the chemistry between Crow and Cotillard worked great for me! Shots are merely ok, nothing great about that. May 15, 2007

The Holiday - PG-13 Narration by Winslet was just great, I could never get tired of listening to her speak (I definitely love British accent). The plot is interesting in a way, but the typical happy ending is a must in these kind of films. Performances by the 4 main actors was good, it was kind of weird Black being kind of romantic, but it was acceptable.
Although the story behind Law's character was a bit TOO unreal, him being the perfect guy, but it was a sweet one.
At some point it got just a bit boring, and I felt it was a LONG movie. It has its good and bad.

Million Dollar Baby - PG-13 It is a shame I had to see such a good film by splits. First of all, Hilary Swank gives an over the top performance in here, she felt her character so much that she made me feel what she was living. And I applaud Mr. Eastwood for such a film, such a masterpiece that made my eyes water a bit.
Dialogues didn't seem to come out of a script, but from real life, from a real story. I definitely recommend this film.

El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) - R This is the best Spanish film that I have ever seen, although I have not seen many. It was a fairy tale developed in a difficult and cruel environment. In fact, I think the whole fairy tale was all in the imagination of the little girl, who tried to escape her suffering making up that world, where she was a Princess.
Effects are awesome, story line is just perfect, this is not something like hollywood, is better than that. I personally loved it, and the ending was so realistic and strong. I recommend it to everyone.

Cinderella Man - PG-13 Great movie. It was very well directed, and some scenes from the boxing were simply awesome. This movie is worth seeing because it just makes you believe you can do whatever you pur your mind into. Crowe and Zellwegger made a great performance onscreen. I simply love the title of the movie. Brokeback Mountain - R I think the central theme of this plot was LOVE. Of course, in an unnatural way since we're not supposed to like people of the same sex, but I focused in the love the two character felt for each other, and how one was more willing to face the world, than the other.
I particularly think that the music was awesome, scenery and takes were good as well. I was very surprised how much Ledger and Gyllenhaal got into their characters.
