What a twisted story... I knew some of this story in the first place, but nasty! At least the cast was all beautiful. I am happy Jim Sturgess is making it into more movies!
The Bucket List
PG-13
This movie kind of drove me crazy! It was so unrealistic when they went skydiving! Their heads were just pasted on someone elses bodies! Not that great... I am a huge fan of both of these actors, but I am glad I waited til DVD.

The Dark Knight
by AmandaBatman has always been my favourite superhero ever since the first time I heard about him because he his human with no powers, also he is much more questionable than any other superhero. The story of the film is about Batman, Lieutenant James Gordon, and new district attorney Harvey Dent beginning to succeed in rounding up the criminals that plague Gotham City. They are unexpectedly challenged when a mysterious criminal mastermind known as the Joker appears in Gotham. Batman's struggle against the Joker becomes deeply personal, forcing him to "confront everything he believes" and to improve his technology (which introduces the recreation of the Batcycle, known as the Batpod and the Batsuit was redesigned) to stop the madman's campaign of destruction. During the course of the film, a love triangle develops between Bruce Wayne, Dent and Rachel Dawes.
There are now six Batman films and I must say that The Dark Knight is the best out of all of them. The title is good because that is what Batman actually is. It has been 3 years for the adventure to continue from Batman Begins but that entire wait was worth it. Gotham city is very Gothic looking and is very haunting and visionary. The whole movie is charged with pulse-pounding suspense, ingenious special effects and riveting performances from a first-rate cast especially from Heath Ledger who gave an Oscar nomination performance for best supporting-actor. It is a shame that he can't see his terrific work on-screen, he Joker was the best beaten up Cesar Romero and Jack Nicholson ones, pit that Heath Ledger dies too soon. The cinematography is excellent which is made so dark & sinister that really did suit the mood for the film. Usually sequels don't turn out to be better than the original but The Dark Knight is one of those rare sequels that surpasses the original like The Godfather 2. I also really liked the poster where the building is on fire in a Bat symbol & Batman is standing in front of it. Christopher Nolan is a brilliant director and his film Memento is one of my most favourite films. He hasn't made 10 movies yet and 3 of them are already on the IMDb top 250. Overall The Dark Knight is the kind of movie that will make the audience cheer in the end instead of throwing fruit & vegetables on the screen.Hey, you should really see this!

In Bruges
by BrianAmazingly funny in a perfectly witty way that says a big FUCK YOU to political correctness and just has a good time with itself.
Also very shocking at times, and expertly acted by Farrell and Gleeson in a way that pulled us in to their characters so well.
YOU must see this!
I must OWN this!Hey, you should really see this!

Get Smart
by BrianOK, I know I had originally decided I didn;t want to see this film but I changed my mind.
And it's pretty decent for what it is. Yes, there are definitely a lot of "funny parts" that just aren't funny (like what was the deal with Bill Murray in the tree?), but I did laugh enough to be mostly satisfied.
I still see Hathaway as a one-trick pony who gets parts for her looks and by playing characters with personalities so close to what I imagine is her own.
Most of you will wait for the DVD. No need to rush out.Funny enough, but nothing amazing. Wait for the DVD.

The Dark Knight
by BrianSome of you might hate me for this review, but at least read it before you string me from the rafters.
The Dark Knight delivers more than even Iron Man or The Crystal Skull could. And it makes the Incredible Hulk look like a joke. It's easily the best Batman of the franchise,
Bale makes Keaton look frumpy and Clooney Clooney look like a bad joke.
Heath Ledger's performance WAS amazing. I was amazed at how he took all of himself out of the character of the Joker and just WAS the joker.
The supporting characters also were expertly cast and did great job.
The one thing I'm not compelled to do is what I considered a lot of people's over-exaggeration/ I'm not speechless, it didn't make me cry, iy's not the best movie of all time (all of which I read in different reviews_. This, s I said, is just a slight overstatement in my opinion that makes me uncomfortable.
However, I will say that The Dark Knight delivers amazingly as the best "summer film" of this year. It's pacing is near perfect and it is totally deviod of cheesy one-liners and moments that made me cringe.
For all this, it gets five starts from mw. Because it delivers.
But it's not a masterpiece.Go see this now! Dance, monkeys, dance!

Charlie Bartlett
by BrianTo me, the plot/story of Charlie Bartlett is most certainly secondary to that of Anton Yelchin's acting, and the interplay between him and Downey and Davis.
Hope Davis is inspired casting, but this film just really showcases Yelchin's acting ability.
The plot is OK, and the execution is admittedly aimed at a younger audience than I, but it's still fun to watch and will be enjoyable to a wide audience.Hey, you should really see this!

The Dark Knight
by Jason"If I were to have an origin I would want it to be multiple choice" -- The Joker from the graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke. By far one of the most revered lines said by The Joker that gives you a deep look into his insanity. Ironically, this movie plays off that quote as the Clown Prince of Crime can never keep his origin story straight. So yes this movie was well researched into the Batman mythos and is an excellent next installment of the franchise and a great sequel.
The movie has been shrouded in secrecy particularly if we see Harvey Dent as Two-Face, and what the fate of the Joker would be with the death of Heath Ledger. Well this movie does answer both questions and since I'm so evil I'm not telling you the answer. MWAHAHAHAH! Bring on the Batman. Of course our protagonist is still evolving into the hero he is destined to be, and is learning he has changed things forever. Gotham is no longer run by the mob but now by the freaks. Gone are Carmine Falcone, and his mafia and now enter the new breed of criminal Joker, Two-Face, and Scarecrow (yes the latter does appear in the movie but that's all the spoilers I'm giving away). Bruce Wayne will have to adapt to the changing environment and find allies wherever he can. No sign of Dick Grayson, but you do meet the young Barbara Gordon the individual who will be Batgirl.
Expect a lot of twist and turns in this movie as insane as the Joker is he is a brilliant criminal mastermind, who kills without mercy, everyone is expendable to him. This has to be by far the best on screen representation of the Joker to date, sorry Jack Nicholoson and Caser Romero. This of course brings me to Heath Ledger who did a remarkable job in this role. By far his best performance to date as I wasn't seeing Heath, I was seeing The Joker. I agree with Michael Caine's exclamation that Heath deserves an Oscar for his performance. Plus since this was his last starring role a lot of people are going to see this movie, even if they hate Batman.
By far the best Batman movie made. It is dark and edgy. It is difficult to tell where the franchise will go next, but I want to see more Bat-villains, ecspecially the ones who have not been on the big screen before.Hey, you should really see this!

Definitely, Maybe
by BrianI wanted to see this mostly because I am a far of Elizabeth Banks (Scrubs) and it looked like it had potential as far as the rest of the cast goes.
Unfortunately it was really slow and Ryan Reynolds' overly-makeuped/fake-tanned face got on my nerves (make up artists, ease up please!).
It did have a cute ending tho. But it was a struggle getting there.
Nothing special. See if you are a fan of the genre, and especially of one of the actors.See if you are a fan of the genre, or one of the actors. Otherwise not particularly special.

Auto Focus
by BrianI had heard about this incident several years ago on one of the ingestigative crime shows and was curious, and have been meaning to watch this film for a while.
Both Kinnear and Dafoe are believeable, if Dafoe creppily so. Makes me curious about what ACTUALLY happened.
Worth seeing, but not for everyone.Hey, you should see this, if it's your type of film.

Southland Tales
by BrianI guess no one really liked this one that much, or so it seems, but to me this was perfectly in line with Donnie Darko and Richard Kelly.
Jesus H. Christ, Almighty, of course this isn't for everyone, but then neither is Donnie Darko
You have to pay attention, suspend your disbelief and enjoy the ride. And I did.
Got this one for my personal collection and I need to watch it again.
Great cast, great music, some great lines, and the same tripped out mind Richard Kelly fans will love!Hey, you should really see this!

Drop Zone
by DeanOnly just got round to finally watching this action film from the early nineties! It's pretty good for the action films that were around at the time and certainly enjoyable enough to be worth checking out if you haven't seen it already. Quite similar to Point Break but with sky divers!

Chaos
by BrianWhile not as exciting as, say, Crank or Transporter 2, (or, I hope, The Bank Job and Death Race), Chaos was good enough to keep my attention all the way thru.
Although the plot had been done before, the movie was much better than I was expecting. Despite a severely diluted version of Statham's usally badass characters, surprisingly it was Phillippe and SNIPES (what???!) who went a ways toward saving this from mediocrity.
Def worth a rent on DVD.Hey, you should really rent this!
