The Family Man - PG-13 In Frank Capra's 1946 Christmas epic,"It's a wonderful Life" James Stewart got to see what life would be like for the people around him and the world if he had never been born. There by discovering that his life was not bad but missing something.

In this 2000 rendition of that classic film Nicolas Cage plays a similar character, his characters name is Jack Campbell and he's a greedy and self absorbed investment banker who's only goal and love in life is to make money. Well that all changes one night when he stops a young African-American man named Cash from shooting a clerk over a lotto ticket but little does Jack know that this man is not some ordinary street punk but is in reality an Angel sent to help Jack changes his greedy ways. When Cash ask Jack what he wants out of life? Jack replies, "I've already got everything I need." Cash tells him that he brought this on himself and leaves. Jack not really thinking about what he had said goes home to bed and the next day wakes up, not as the playboy investment banker he is, but a married tire sales men of two with his college sweetheart he left behind 13 years earlier. Now the only way Jack is ever going to get his old life back is too first learn to live and appreciate life as, "The Family Man".

"The Family Man" is heartwarming, charming, sweet, touching and an all around great time for anyone in the mood for a great Christmas fairytale. While the story may seem a little familiar it does have it's moments that just really grab you and pull you into the deep rooted story about love, family and making the right choices even if at the time they seem wrong. It's one of those films that you have to watch and see just for the story or not even that, see it for the great performances, the high spirited nature of the events unfolding onscreen see it just because you've got the itching for a good Christmas story. Whatever the reason you see this film see it with an open mind and an open heart and I can promise you that if you do the story will leave you with a great and warm feeling on the inside. All in all Brett Ratner's "The Family Man" is nothing short of beautiful and touching entertainment at it's very, very best and will entertain if not lift you up.

Nicolas Cage gives one of the best and brightest performances of his career as first being the stuck up, self absorb Campbell and then slowly but surely changing into the man deep down inside he knows he is. It's something magical to watch onscreen and the change in Cages performance as the film progress is astounding it's something new for Cage and it plays out very well for him onscreen. Tea Leoni is astounding in this as the under payed and over worked wife of Jack in the alternate reality, Leoni plays the part with wit, charm and style and really shows how life as a suburban housewife can be. Leoni doesn't lie in her performance or tries to sugar coat what motherhood is like. She shows you how it works and how she helps the other Jack find solace in being a blue collar worker. Don Cheadle doesn't have allot of screen time in this film but the parts he is in are great and well preformed. But all in all the cast is phenomenal and really shine in this brilliant and beautiful holiday love story.

"The Family Man" Has always been a favorite of mine to watch at Christmas time mainly because of the story and the message it plays out for you. It's just such an amazing film and it's so well told and crafted that it at sometimes doesn't feel like a movie with actors, but a really true to life story about a man who lost his way and has to find his way home. It's a great Christmas film and an amazing drama about how the choices we make can either make us a better person or make us into something we sometimes barley recognize. "The Family man" is a motion picture experience that is pretty original and something that you've never seen before , you may think you've seen this kind of story before but trust me when you watch it you won't think about comparing it to other films because this one is a one of a kind modern classic.

Silent Hill - R Silent Hill is one of the most popular and groundbreaking horror video game franchise of all time. All other horror survival video games today follow the protocol that Silent Hill set forth. Now in 2006 director Christopher Gans and Tristar pictures deiced to adapt the popular video game series into a film and while they follow the story of the first game pretty well. They did change some details from the game like the lead character is no longer author Harry Mason but a new lead created for the film Rose DaSilva the new concerned parent of Cheryl which doesn't please me as a fan of the game but does put an interesting twist on this old fan favorite.

This 2006 adaption follows the story of Rose DaSilva as she tries to help her disturbed daughter get over her unnatural sleepwalking spells where she keeps uttering the name of a town, Silent Hill. So Rose, against the wishes of her husband Chris, takes Cheryl to the eerie ghost town in desolate west Virgina. But as she enters the vicinity of the town something happens and she is involved in a car crash, when Rose awakes she finds her daughter missing. Rose sets out to find her but little does she know that there is more to this dark town then meets the eye and it may not be deserted as she once thought. Now Rose must find her daughter while unwrapping the mysteries of, "Silent Hill".

Silent Hill is eerie, haunting, shocking, mysterious, visually impressive and at sometimes rather mind blowing. Grant it it's not one of the greatest horror films of all time, but it is one of the better video game adaptions to come out in recent years. It has the air of mystery in the first half that most good horror films have and it also has the scares which modern horror seems to lack theses days that's the good now the bad is that the acting and the script don't quite hold up under the mind bending visuals and horror. But the thrills and chills of this film save it from being a complete and utter waste of time. All in all "Silent Hill" is a very effective horror machine with an interesting and intriguing story muddled down by a bad script and terrible direction, which held it back from being what it truly could have been. Utterly terrifying.

Radha Mitchell tries hard and in some parts of the film comes out on top, but her performance was dragged down by the poor direction by Christopher Gans and the terrible script. Mitchell does well at looking terrified but when she has to be serious and keep her cool she kind of falls short, which is forgivable most of the time and at others it is not. Laurie Holden is utterly terrible in this, she really drags the film down with her over serious performance as the tough female cop you just laugh most of the time she is on screen with the macho stuff she says sounds so dull and stereotyped it's hilarious, but she does try hard and I will give her that. Sean Bean is great as usual as the husband to Mitchell's character he brings style and heart to a rather cold and dark film, which in most cases works and in some it just slightly kills the story. But Bean is a welcome addition to the story. The cast does well for the most part but in some parts they just drag along and make the story less terrifying but given the material it is no surprise there. But I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say this in there favor, they tried hard and came out on top and made this film a little less shallow and dull than what it would have been.

"Silent Hill" is a shocking horror thrill ride at best but it's like a car if you don't take care of it it will fall apart. Well the production crew didn't take very good care of this car and it almost fell apart on them half way through. But somehow it made it to the end of the finish line. "Silent Hill" has great elements a sturdy plot and amazing visuals to fall back on when it needs to but this film is not unwatchable due to the bland acting. Everything else in the film will keep you int rested enough to make it through the end and that in my book is an achievement.

All in all "Silent Hill delivers on what it promises a good horror ride but it may turn off long time, die hard fans of the video game series. But it is great to watch if your a horror fan and have never heard of the games before but if you have this may disappoint you . All in all it delivers one wild and nightmarish ride.

The Soloist - PG-13 Many dramas try to capture or exude a sort of uplifting quality to them and many dramas try to depress you to the point of tears. While "The Soloist" has it's moments where it can be very depressing It also has an uplifting and heartfelt tone to it that really jumps out at you and resonates with every ounce of emotion in you. "The Soloist" is not new but it does do what many other dramas fail to or fall short of most of the time, it gives you an incredible true and powerful story that will stick with you long after the film is over and leave a lasting impression on you.

"The Soloist" draws it's power and emotion from a story that many have not heard of, it tells the story of a journalist(Downey,Jr.) down on his luck. and a man lost in his own genius(Foxx) and how they met, became friends and helped each other get back on there feet. Now that is something you don't hear or see in modern films too often, "The Soloist" is so heart-wrenching and powerful that you can't ignore it. It calls you to watch it and when you do it delivers much more than you thought or could ever hope for. "The Soloist" Is hands down one of the best movies of 2009 and possible the decade, it is a drama and a biography that must be experienced to believe.

Robert Downey, Jr. is back and better than ever in this film, I haven't seen Downey,jr. do this good since Iron man and Chaplin. He really puts his heart and soul into this picture and it shows on screen he helps make this picture much better than what it would have. Jamie Foxx is phenomenal as the schizophrenic Nathaniel Ayers, it is his performance that is essential for seeing this picture and along with Downey help make this a notch above the regular drama. All in all the cast does amazing in this handsomely mounted film,

"The Soloist" is heartfelt, powerful, smart, daring, refreshing and most of all a tear jerker. It's a great film with a great story and premise that is well told on screen and well acted. All in all it's a movie that you don't want to miss or over look. None the less it delivers.

Fracture - R Hitchcock help further the genre of film noir and thrillers back in the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's and early 70's. But even after his death some very few films have been able to capture and recreate his style and look, and Fracture is one of those films that while it pays homage to Hitchcock It creates it's own style and plot device using elements from Noir and elements from serial killer thrillers and you get this sinister and dark film.

"Fracture" is as twisty and as smart as Crime dramas come, it enjoys playing games with it's audience and with that it careens from one twist to the next playfully and skilfully taunting you with it's dark motives and sinister cat and mouse play between Hopkins and Gosling . Gosling and Hopkins help keep this film from being nothing more than a standard crime drama/thriller they are the key to this film success and the main reason that "Fracture" is a must see.

Anthony Hopkins is sinister, malicious, smart and cunning in his role as Ted Crawford. Hopkins gives us a run for our money and them some, his performance is key to making this film work with it's implausible plot but even with that in mind your more focused on the dogfight between him and Gosling. Ryan Gosling does some of his best work in this film as the tough as nail get ahead young lawyer Willy Beachum, Gosling's performance is not as edgy or as smart as Hopkins but that is easy to overlook due to the fact that he is so good at playing off Hopkins and at playing off his characters misfortune in the film, essentially there the perfect on screen foes.

"Fracture" is one of Gregory Hoblit's best and most well made films to date and in my opinion one of the best cat and mouse thrillers to come out in years. It's truly a brilliant film and will please if not blow you away. All in all "Fracture" is pure and fulfilling entertainment at it's very and most compelling best.

The Mummy - PG-13 While I have not seen the 1932 Universal original production starring Boris Karlof I did, however enjoy and revel in this 1999 Stephen Sommers re-imaging of the classic horror machine. While having a unique story for it's time and amazing special effects "The Mummy" is much more, it's an extremely well thought out film and a highly entertaining Adventure epic that is right up there with Indiana Jones.

Stephen Sommers "The Mummy" is smart, fast paced, hilarious at times, touching at others and powerful in it's sweeping and dynamic story and atmosphere. But this film really benefits from it's strong lead performances from Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz who help elevate this film from average to great and really up the appeal and power of this film. But the real draw comes from the adventure and the excitement that is released in small capsules that in certain areas burst open and blow you away. But all in all this film is wild and crazy fun that is more well made than it should, and allot better acted and scripted than it should but you get what you want and more and in the end you won't be disappointed.

Brendan Fraser rocks as the tough but kind heartened adventurer Rick O'Connell, his performance is key to keeping this film afloat and believable if someone else was cast I don't think it would have worked out as well seeing as the humor infused with the terror and thrills and Fraser is the only one who I can see pulling this off to the point that you don't see the actor but the character he plays. Rachel Weisz is amazing as the smart and beautiful Evelyn Carnahan she really brings the charm, the heart and the style., she is also a great focal point in this film and helps bring a human zing quality to the picture. But all in all the cast does amazing in this film and under the direction of Stephen Sommers they succeed.

"The Mummy" is what you call outrageously entertaining and majorly exciting, it's one of those films that just captures you from the very beginning and won't let you go til the credits roll. "The Mummy" is high octane thrills mixed with old schooled horror and amazingly timed humor helps create one of the best re-imaginings of all time and one of the greatest adventure films since "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

A Good Year - PG-13 Ridley Scott has brought us some amazing films in the past: Alien(1979), Blade Runner(1982), Thelma and Louise(1991) and Gladiator(2000). While Scott has always given us good action films and compelling dramas it's a first for him and moviegoers to make a romantic dramedy. A Good Year is compelling, heartfelt, touching, sweet, romantic and sentimental. It's one of the best of the genre and a major step up for Scott and Crowe.

A Good Year is something that at first glance may look like nothing more than a standard Rom Com but in reality it is something more, much more. Ridley Scott has created a compelling and thought provoking look into the life of a man(Crowe) who's only goal in life is too make money, it's not until that his money grubbing and selfish ways cause him to lose touch with the one man(Finney) that was a mentor and a father to him. And it takes the death of his beloved Uncle Henry Finney to bring him back to his Uncle's vineyard in Provence, France where it all began for him. Ridley Scott's A Good Year is a great film with great heart and amazing depth of emotion that will lift you up if not inspire you to be more than you can be. All in all it's an amazing film that must be experienced and watched over and over again.

Russell Crowe gives an amazing and heartfelt performance he really brings the charm, the style and some of the laughs in this well executed film. If not for Crowe being cast as the lead role Max Skinner this film would have crumbled and fallen under anyone else in this part, Crowe is essential to this film and is amazing to watch him out of his character. Albert Finney is a class act in this film and even though he's not in the film much except in flashbacks he really puts his all into those scenes and makes the most out of it. Abbie Cornish (Who I have never heard of until this film.) is a good contrast to Crowe's character and gives us a good show. The cast puts on a great show and helps make this a stand-out in the romantic dramedy cross genre.

A Good Year is a film that I passed up two years ago due to the fact that it didn't really capture my attention but now I'm glad I took the time to watch it. It's a film that lifts your soul and takes it soaring to new heights with it's high spirited and heartfelt story and intoxicating scenery. It's an all around great time and a film that captures the emotion of the lush French countryside and the emotional tale of the search for the broken soul of a lost man. All in all it delivers.

Terminator Salvation - PG-13 While T-3 nearly failed at giving a good look at the near-end of Humanity by SKYNET It did succeed, barely, and that is saying something. McG's "Terminator Salvation" delivers the beginning of the end of the war for Earth and the survival of mankind. But while this is what Terminator fans have been waiting for for almost twenty-five years it falters on many levels and almost falls flat on it's face when it needs to stand strong, but none the less It's an entertaining entry in the long beloved genre.

"Terminator Salvation" while nowhere near as good as "The Terminator" and "Terminator 2:Judgment Day" It does give us what we want and delivers what it promises. An action packed, mind blowing action/ adventure but even that may not please you if your a first timer or not a faithful lover of the first three you may not be too pleased with the robotic script and acting, but like the third this one doesn't truly disappoint it just doesn't live up to the story as well as it should. But all in all it's a pretty good installment in the new trilogy and a good continuation of the original story but it falls short far too many times to really be called great.

Christian Bale who rocks as Batman but fails to impress as the legendary John Connor, his performance is too mechanical and only helps in bringing down the film instead of lifting it too new heights. Sam Worthington (who I have never heard of until I saw this movie.) Is actually the savior of this film his performance is more human and emotional and he alone saves this film from being a total waste of 200 million dollars. But all in all the cast does pretty good, most of them saving the film others bringing it down but mostly they do alright in this and make this actioneer a must see.

McG's "Terminator Salvation" is taunt, gritty, atmospheric, stylish and a thought out film, but not thought out well enough when being filmed. It falls short in some parts and in others in soars. But all in all T-4 is a must see action film steeped in dark nostalgia of the old films and a high grade visual style that will enthrall you if not make you completely forget about the bad script and robotic acting, "Terminator Salvation" delivers.

Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines - R While "The Terminator" and "Terminator 2:Judgment Day" set up a line of success and action greatness that has yet to be surpassed "Terminator 3: Rise of the machines" tries hard to continue the greatness but falls short on many levels, but is not a failure for the series but it is nowhere near the excellence and expert craftsmanship of the first two movies. But is none the less a well executed and strong finish to the end of humanity and the beginning of the prophesied war.

Jonathan Mostow's "Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines" continues the harrowing story of John Connor during the last days of humanity before Judgment Day occurs. Mostow knows what he wants in his movie and he even knows how to give it to you on screen but he lacks the genius and creativity to truly breath life into this third installment but none the less he gives it his all and comes out on top for the most part. But the third and final film from James Cameron's series is good but never truly meets the height and standards of the two that came before it.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is back but not as good as he was in "Terminator 2:Judgment Day" he has reverted to the way he was in the beginning of that film and that, said to say, is a let down. But never the less Schwarzenegger pulls it off one last time and really gives us a good show. Nick Stahl is not as good as Connor as Edward Furlong was Stahl over and under acts far too many times in this film for him to plausible as the leader of the Human resistance in the future, in fact he isn't plausible at all. All he does is just say stuff and that's pretty much it. Claire Danes(You may know her as Juliet from Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet.) Is just as bad as Stahl as the not so tough and not so smart daughter of an Air Force General. Danes can't hold up her scenes due to the fact she screams and whimpers and whines and complains half way through the film, which causes her to wear out her welcome after ten minutes of her being onscreen, but she tries, not very hard, but she tries and that I can say is something. Kristana Loken as The Terminatrix is good but just like Robert Patrick just a different gender that's all, Loken gives us a villain we've already seen but with a different flare and style and that saves her from being another eye sore in this film. But none the less the cast does great with there scenes, even though the supports sometimes grind there scenes to the bone they do good none the less in this highly entertaining film.

"Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" doesn't fall on it's face when it comes to it's action sequences or special effects but it does falter on the acting in some parts of the film and sometimes it doesn't, which is good. But none the less this third installment will please fans of the series and Action/Sci-Fi fans as well but it may fall short of high hopes of life long loyal fans new fans may be more kind to it, but never the less not a bad entry but not the great one it should be. All in all T-3 is good entertainment.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day - R While Terminator set up the beginning of John Connor and created a new era in FX and unbrash action and suspense this no holds bar sequel Improves on the first and pushes the special effects further than ever for it's day. Terminator 2: Judgment Day is smart, taunt, stylish, dark and oh so much fun. It's the perfect action sequel and one of the best films of the '90s.

James Cameron's brilliant sequel has everything and more that made the first great and this one even greater. What T-2: Judgment Day does is extend further the story of the prophesied, "Judgment Day and continues the story of John Connor and this time around The Terminator is not his enemy but his protector and that shifts the story from Machine VS. Human to Machine VS. Machine and Human. And that is amazing to see and watch unfold. T-2 while not as good as the first is, but is an amazing step up in story, action and in special effects and is a worthy sequel and entry in the Terminator franchise.

Arnold Schwarzenegger delivers another great performance as the time traveling terminator his performance is much less robotic than the first and more human which contributes highly to this films appeal and moral structure. Linda Hamilton is more strung out and nutty than I've ever seen her before and she helps bring more power and emotion to this film. Edward Furlong is amazing as the young, rebellious John Connor Furlong brings the tension and more heart to the picture and humanizes an otherwise mechanical film. But all in all the cast does amazing under the great direction of James Cameron and his amazing script, with that they help make this a must see for fans of the first and for fans of Sci-Fi as well.

T-2 is powerful in it's execution and emotional in it's story, it's an amazingly well crafted film with such heart and depth that it, much like the first, jumps out and grabs you when you least expect it. All in all T-2 is a welcome addition to the franchise and a major step up from the original, essentially it's the perfect action/ Sci-Fi film.

The Terminator - R When "The Terminator" was released in 1984 it was hailed as groundbreaking for it's amazing special effects for the time and James Cameron(Director of Aliens & Titanic) created one of the greatest Science Fiction film that influenced other films for years to come. It's been almost twenty-five years and the power "The Terminator" released onscreen still holds strong even by today's standards this film is a gem of the golden era of Sci-Fi and helped usher in a new generation of Sci-Fi.

James Cameron's "The Terminator" is smart, taunt, highly entertaining, epic, , breathtaking and visually stunning. It's essentially the perfect Apocalyptic thriller with a theme so original and haunting it's almost scary, in fact it is scary. The main focal point of the plot is focused mainly on Sarah Connor a waitress who unknowingly has been marked for death due to the fact later on she gives birth to the future leader of the resistance. Sounds outrageous I know but it works on so many interesting and mind boggling levels that it just feels so real when it should feel cheesy and cheap, but this film is so great and powerful in it's story and execution that it just leaps out and grabs you and won't let you go until the credits roll.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is powerful and robotic(as he should be for a role like this.) he really gives this iconic character the realistic punch that it needs and requires. Linda Hamilton is good as Sarah Connor but she really lags in some places but she pulls the part off nicely. Michael Biehn as Kyle Resse is good but in noways a great actor his acting is poor in this film but it doesn't topple the picutre but he doesn't help much either. But all in all the cast does well and holds up nicely and deliver good performances in one of the greatest Sci-Fi films of all time.

"The Terminator" is great and smart fun that can be watched as many times as you can take it It's just too good to ignore or pass up and once you see it you won't look at action flicks or Science Fiction/apocalyptic thrillers the same way ever again. All in all "The Terminator" is one futuristic adventure you'll want to take.

The Majestic - PG Frank Capra inspired and awe struck generations with his films, while Frank Darabont is in noway Capra his film The Majestic does a good job at honoring Capra and his films with creating a plausible love drama about a man(Carrey) just trying to find where he belongs in the world. It's one of Darabont's best and most complete work since The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon - PG-13 While New Moon boasts new locals, better acting and some over stylized action sequences it can't in noway measure up to the the minor success that Twilight had. It's style too earnest, it's story to contrived and boring and while the acting is much better than what was given in Twilight can't really save this film from being nothing but another entry in one of the most undeserving popular film adaption of Stephine Meyers' worldwide sensation books, making it a boring and under-made teeny bopper romantic adventure.

Is New Moon good entertainment? Sorry to say, but no. Is it unbearable awful? Nowhere near it but it does come close in some scenes.

New Moon is dull, dimwitted, over-stylized, under-directed, under-plotted and basically suffers from every problem imaginable and can't even surpass the first film but does give you a good look at what a strained relationship looks like. But besides that it can't seem to keep it's head afloat long enough to entertain or even convince us of what is going on in the story. But I will give it credit to it's new director Chris Weitz(Director of the atheist film, The Golden Compass.) He does well in elevating the acting and adding action sequences to the film to make it more appealing. But even the action is flat and lifeless and just adds to the nothingness this film already is. But all in all New Moon is nothing new at all and is just a failure that got lucky.

Kristen Stewart does elevate her performance here for the most part but she falls short when the dramatic scenes come up and helps make this film extremely unbelievable and unconvincing. Robert Pattinson impressed me with bring his performance from bad to alright, and boy was he bad in the first film. But Pattinson up his performances and just when you think he's going to keep climbing but instead he falls right back down the ladder to the bottom again. Taylor Launter is nothing new or anything good in this film but I will give him credit for trying his hardest with the soapy dialogue and the dumb down plot. But even he can't save the film seeing as he is one of the reasons it fails with his bland and emotionless performance. But all in all the cast falls and when they do you can hear it a hundred miles away.

Twilight Saga: New Moon is not what you expect or even want, it's a mess of a film that suffers heavily from it's poor script and under direction. It's nothing more than a crowd pleaser if you can call it that it's nothing new and certainly nothing special and it's a film I regret wasting m time on. All in all New Moon is an A-Bomb times a hundred.

Monkeybone - PG-13 When Henry Selick created a Nightmare before Christmas it was the start of a new era in stop motion animation. While Selick has always stayed in the world of stop motion animation he has given us a great and wonderful time with that, James and the giant peach was phenomenal and now in 2001 he created a film that blends perfectly live action with the stop motion animation of his design. And this film so happens to be called, Monkeybone.

Monkeybone is smart, charming, unrelentingly funny and visually breathtaking it's a fantasy adventure with such high class and such great comedic timing that it just leaps out at you and sucks you deep, deep into the world of Henry Selick and his wild, dark and zany creatures. What I loved about this film is how Fraser's character started out meek and dull and slowly but surly turned into the hero and real man you know he is on the inside. It's a great face the music type of story and a great fantasy adventure that is just too good and just too eye catching to resist.

Brendan Fraser gives one of his best comedic performances here as comic strip scribe and creator of Monkeybone Stu Miley. Fraser's performance is key to the film and it sometimes calls for him to go above and beyond the call of duty for his role. But never the less Fraser pulls it off nicely and helps make this comedic adventure worthy watching. Bridget Fonda is alright as the doting and caring girlfriend Julie, while not as strong as Fraser and not as serious as she could have been Fonda does alright with her part and is not a thorn in this films side. John Turturro is fantastically funny and witty as the popular but treacherous comic strip character, Monkeybone. Turturro breaks out all his comedic skills and brings some seriously huge laughs and style to this film as the voice of the mischievous little monkey. But all in all the cast holds up great and brings some serious charm laughs to an otherwise unique and original picture.

Monkeybone is cool as it is slick and while not as popular as it should be or as praised but Henry Selick's Monkeybone is an original and visually striking motion picture that I know if your forgiving and open up to this world Monkeybone will not disappoint. All in all Monkeybone is one wild and zany trip you really want to take.

Twilight - PG-13 While Twilight has an amazing premise and a great story to back it up, it can't help but fall prey to the terrible script and bad acting from the leads. Stephine Meyers' Twilight has a morbid energy level that resonates with a tale of forbidden love, and the story is highly interesting but it is extremely let down by a bad script, under direction and bad acting from the entire cast. What could have been an amazing Gothic, fantasy romance instead turns out to be nothing more than another teeny bopper romance film.

Twilight is dark, complex and at sometimes it has it's moment where it really dazzles and amazes. But it falls short on an illogical script, unbelievable events and a story at times that defies all reason. But for the most part Twilight is an interesting film that does manage, in some strange way, to hold your attention for the first two acts of the film but it losses it momentum and strength in the third act and turns into a bad chase thriller. But all in all Twilight is a good idea and story muddled by everything imaginable in a film, but still is quite enjoyable even if it is preposterous and illogical.

Kristen Stewart for the first act of the film(Before the entrance of Edward.) delivers a good preformances, the second act she kind of starts to lag a little and in the third act her acting abilities are completely gone and she acts like an escape mental patient. Robert Pattinson is terrible in this film from his introduction to the end, he can't hold up the dramatic part he is assigned and really brings down the film causing Stewart to really try hard to keep it afloat , but sadly Pattinson brings Stewart down with him and the film fails to please except for it's dark style and the source material. But none the less the cast tries but fails to elevate this film above average and is just an average teen romance.

Twilight is stylish and fresh but it wears out it's welcome by the third act and it becomes quite irritating and contrived. But all in all it's just another example of a good story and idea gone bad. Twilight is passing entertainment.
