Flawless acting and plot, touching scenes one after another, leaving behind much food for thoughts even after so many years.....shawshank redemption is still by number one all-time favourite.

among all tons of horror/thriller/serial killers movies i have seen all these years, there is still no other one that can even compare to Funny Games. I watched it in the 1998 HK Film Festival. It's the ONLY film ever that actually made me wanna leave the theatre on the half way. The tension it created made me suffocated. But i am glad i didn't leave and watch it until the end. The reason why i appreciate this film so much is that it is so successful in depicting VIOLENCE in such a realistic way that makes one really experiences how awful it is. Violence itself is so evil, unlike all the other movie-violence that u can enjoy without realizing how awful it truly is in reality. Right now i am so looking forward to the 2008 version of Funny Games. Hope the originality can be 100% preserved.
