Quite a buzz surrounding this film.I don't understand why the film never received the theatrical release it deserves.Trick R' Treat is beautifuly shot,with great set pieces & full of surprises.This bloody anthology was presented in a unique way,all the four stories blended together.This is the perfect flick for Halloween...lots of fun!

Martyrs is a provocative,disturbing,brutal & creepy film.A well done film with great editing,score,effects & great performances from the leading actors.But i have to say that i did like better the first half of the film,second half loses is momentum with some repetitive torture sequences.Don't want to give anything away,but there's a great graphic moment tours the end that reminds me of Hellraiser,but getting tours the end by the way things were heading with the story,i knew that the conclusion was gonna be a love or hate moment.I was a bit disappointed with the ending.

This Canadian monster flick wasn't doing for me.Not much of a story here,but what really sucks is the dialog,annoying characters & the acting wasn't that good.It really takes an hour before anything interesting happens,the most entertaining stuff with monsters was left for the last 25-30 mins of the film.I give credit to the people involved with the traditional effects,but can't say much positive things about this campy & silly film.If you like films like Troll,Ghoulies & few other monster flicks of this kind,then your will have fun with this one.I doubt if i will like to see a sequel.

Shiver is shot beautifully.The film is very effective when it comes to tension,suspense & atmosphere.This is one of those films that keeps you guessing for awhile,i had no idea of what was going on & what was the thing hidden through the bushes & running in the woods,which was attacking animals & people.When things get unfold,it gives you an idea about what's going on.A very suspenseful horror film,with an interesting plot & good performances.Wasn't feeling the conclusion & the mystery of the kid's disease was left unclear. It bit disappointed of how things turn out.

Eden Lake is a well done film about a couple who are terrorized by some violent teenagers in a forest.The film delivers few graphic scenes & good performances by the cast.I enjoy this film,which it was heading for a good conclusion with a interesting scenario but unfortunately the ending was disappointing.Is a must see for horror fans.

Mum & dad is a well done low budget film,with few gory & nasty scenes.Not much of a story ,& is a film that doesn't bring nothing new to the table.So many films done in the USA about a psycho family that gets pleasure by torturing others.This British film is far from being one of the goriest & most shocking in this genre,if that's what the director attempts to do,just making a shocking film.Decent performances by the leading actors,which their characters can get annoying at times & there was few disgusting scenes.Normally these type of films score points getting closer to the ending,but the ending fails to come up with anything shocking or special.I'm sure there's an audience who will enjoy this twisted flick.Is a short film that goes at a fast pace,so didn't get bored.
