My Bloody Valentine 3-D

Possibly three minutes of film that were 3-D. Normally the poor acting and bad storyline wouldn't bother me in a slasher flick, because I watch them for the death scenes... but the death scenes weren't even good!

Possibly Scorsese's best work, but that is a big call. I loved Leonardo's emotionally distubred Costigan, Queenan and Dignam's good cop/bad cop duo, Jack reliving the same sanity level experienced in Kubrick's 'The Shining'. However, the character that stood out to me was Sullivan. Seeing Matt Damon playing the bad guy for a change was an experience. Good intensity, good dialogue and brilliant camera angles.

The movie is an acquired taste, not for the faint at heart or weakened stomachs. Gerard Butler kills it as King Leonidas. Expect a reasonably general plot, as the focus is the exceptional special effects with the use of blue screen. Plenty of blood, gore and battle scenes juxtaposed with the melodramatic acting.
