I recommend you see...
Hancock
by KhrisNot Will Smith's best movie, but its not really him, its just the fact that was an easy going, enjoyable flick to watch over and over again. XD!!
A real twist of the superhero movie, with some twist and turns, and some great lines and its funny enough... its a good night out, and something people would love to watch. I guess Will Smith and Charlize are the kind of actors people love to watch on screen, they make it look so easy and they are comfortable, which is why the movie pulls it off so well.
Anyways, not much detail for review needed here, its a simple movie to watch, great performances, good jokes and moments, and something out of the ordinary. Which is something I guess all of us would like to see more of these days in the movies.
A real unique movie.Hey, you should really see this!

The Bank Job
by KhrisAn interesting piece of film-making... which is pretty entertaining. Once you get past the sleazy and shameless sex, you would realise that it actually made some sense as to the WHY. Based on a true story of sorts, its an interesting take on the Baker Street Bank Robbery which caused a sensation and had Parliment and MI5 going nuts.
Jason Statham goes back home and back in time to 1971 as a small time criminal who tried to hit the big time by robbing Lloyd's Bank and hits big trouble in the form of government scandals, corruption and just about everyone from the MI5 to a local porn king/gangster AND a psychotic Rasta drug dealer out to nail him and his crew.
I guess the great thing about this movie was the authenticity. 1971 London does come alive, and its not something we see often in movies these days, seeing a world city in a different time, not so far back as to call it ancient history, but more so enough to appreciate what its like and how everything has changed radically, from cars to technology to clothing and styles and lifestyle.
You have to appreciate the story and the tension which the crew go through. This is one of Statham's better movies, and the rest of the cast are..... British. XD
Yeah its the same ole thing for all you guys who don't understand a world of the British language. If you could get past the language or are familiar with it (like me) then you can follow the movie quite easily. Which is something else which I liked about it. Its not meant to be an all out twister, a movie trying to out do itself and others of higher grade, but a simple reworking of an event brought to the big screen with a few thrills along the way. In the tradition of movies such as The Italian Job, The Score and other tales of thieves, this would have to be on of the better flicks to watch.Hey, you should really see this!

Ci qing (Mandala) (Spider Lilies)
by JoannamkjjdhjsaljcfiHmm, this film was O.K.
Not crap. Not fantastic either.
Just so everyone knows, I had no idea what the heck a web cam girl is. I thought they are like Youtubers, but boy I was completely wrong.
...So that was one thing that put me off.
However, the character of the "web cam" girl was actually kinda interesting to watch. She had a lovely personality, and in a way I felt sorry for her.
Another thing about this film that I didn't really like was the fact that it gave off a bad message... in a way about homosexual couples (though i HIGHLY doubt that it was done on purpose) . If you watched it, then you'll know what I mean. I didn't notice this message at first, my friend had to point it out to me later on.
I felt the sex scene's were not neccessary. (Seriously. They just came out of no where. Apart from the last one. Which was actually done in a sweet way that didn't scream out "hawt lesbian sex") The film really didn't need the sex scene's, i felt they were just added in, in order to attract a certain audience.
I liked the way that they showed the relationship between Takeko and her friend. It was a really sweet bond considering the fact that he was a thug that enjoyed beating up innocent people.
And lastly, I thought the end scene was very satisfying. (I loved that outfit Jade was wearing in the last scene. From the green wig to the combat boots. Everything she wore looked really cool. :D hehe)
Overall, pretty decent film.Ahahah... Hi?
Well, I've never actually watched this film. (I NEVER get the chance to watch this film) But you guys should watch this film. :D
And then let me know whether or not I should waste my time on this film. Mmkay? Thanks. Bye :P

Holiday Inn
by LydiaI now am in love. . . with Bing Crosby's voice! I was more transfixed on his singing then the movie. Speaking of which, the film was very fun. It was simple, family like, and just enjoyable! Though the title may be decieving, the main focus is not on the holidays, rather it is on two showmen that always seem to like the same girl. Ted (Astaire), even went as far as taking Jim's (Crosby), fiance right from under his nose! Somewhat depressed Jim quits the show life and enters the simple life. Farming. Turns out it was way too much for him to handle and wasn't what he'd thought it'd be at all. He then decides to turn the farmhouse into an Inn. Holiday Inn to be exact. The purpose was for it to only be open fifteen holidays a year, hence the name, so Jim could live comfortably work-free for the rest 350 days. Meanwhile, a young lady is trying to find her way into show biz when she meets a man that gives her Jim's number and address to the Inn. They fall in love and plan to be married when, of course, Ted show's up drunk, dances a little, and then steals Jim's new girl. But the love triangle is not over yet. Oh no! Jim realizes the mistakes he's been making and goes after his girl! But seriously it is a really great flick and is so watchable.
