Fellini tells the story of a director who has lost his vision, only that in reality that was Fellini's personal dilemma as well. The entire film is a constant battle of truths conflicting with illusions and deceptions. Creative camera work andn a black and white color scheme give that shadowy dream like quality. Complicated and symbolic a true work of art.

It is more than a quirky romantic comedy. Amelie demonstrates the power of childhood and the retreat into a world of imagination. The film plays with the viewers by letting them enter this place of make-believe that is the film. The characers are beautifully introduced and their relationships are not trivial. The quiet, complicated protagonist must learn to take risks to find personal satisfaction and to obtain real love.
