I am terribly confused, but quite fascinated. Beautiful filmmaking, amazing acting, not so fantastic story development. I don't know if that's what Lars Von Trier wanted viewers to feel, but I think it confused me a little beyond the acceptable for me. Pretty dense movie.

I'd wanted to watch this movie for the last 15 years, and finally had the chance to watch it last night. Maybe it was too much anticipation, but it wasn't what I expected.
It's undeniably a very important piece of cinematic art, but it just didn't work for me. I kept wanting more from the murderer Beckert and less from police and criminals, because Beckert to me was the most complex and interesting character. Yet you only catch a glimpse of who he really was a few minutes before the movie ends.
It's an interesting though not very captivating movie.

Couldn't love this more if I tried. It's perfect. everytime I see it I find something new to love about it. Go watch it if you haven't yet.

Another of my all-time favourites. It's on a league of its own, I wouldn't even know how to label this. Just watch it, will ya.
