Frances McDormand was grand as the title character. Her character change over the course is a perfect 180 from the beginning. She lets Amy Adams' character change her from a stuffed shirt to really living in the world.
It makes the Cinderella story a lot more believable as well as makes Cinderella a better role model. The character of Danielle didn't just wait for someone to help her she helped herself. Another thing that was better was the it showed that love is something that happens overtime and shouldn't be taken at fist sight.
I didn't like that they didn't really add anything substantial to the staging. I mean rent flushed out the staging as well as Chicago when it went to film but Producer didn't really change. Also the actors continued to overact as if they were onstage which just looks horrible on film.
Love this film. It is the everyday man that is put in an extraordinary situation. It makes it more of something that you would think wouldn't happen to you everyday. Will Smith is fantastic.
