Fight Club (1999, R)
First rule in fight club is you don't talk about fight club, the second rule is YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB. So I'm not going to. I guess your going to have to see it. One thing I'll say is the fighting in this movie is real, its not like everyone knows martial arts and fanacy moves that wouldn't work in a real fight. Its in your face, dirty, and on the ground. Its like watching a UFC match. I've going to start my own fight club. I've said to much, I'm Jack's big mouth. |

The Departed (2006, R)
Best movie of 2006. Martin Scorsese is an going to be a legend if is not already. Amazing performances by everyone in this film. Leonardo really digs in deep when he starts losing grip on his position. You really feel for his character. Its even got some really cool music, punk rock making the scenes even more choatic. Forget trying to predict the end it will surprise no matter how good you are. I can't wait to own it. |

Requiem for a Dream (2000, R)
I'm usaully not into druggy films, but this one had watching the whole time. Its very intense. Its like being on a rollarcoaster that never ends and never goes back up. Jennifer Connelly gets down and dirty and I applaud her for it, great performance. Jared Leto is awesome and even Marlon Wayans surprises me. So really cool camera work when you can see their faces while their running. It is the same makers as Pi which was really good too. If you liked Trainspotting or Baskeball Dairies than you will really enjoy this one. |

Gattaca (1997, PG-13)
A very inspiring film. Any one even tell you that you can't be something and you proved them wrong. What if you were told the day you were born and never had a chance. The things a person would do to make is dreams come true. Jude Law plays a character you will love and hate. Ethan Hawke is great, he really make you proud of who you are. Its a great sci-fi story. |

The Seven Samurai (Shichinin no Samurai) (1954, Unrated)
Akira Kurosawa is a top notch director. All his movies are good. Seven Samurai in my opinion is his best. If you liked the western movie, "The Magnificent Seven" see were the ideas came from. Seven Samurai has also influenced a great Amine series called Samurai 7. Toshiro is a great performer and deserves great respect. It may have subtitles but don't let that bother you, its a movie worth the reading. This movie is loved by all that as seen it and makes the top of charts even to this day. A classic that will live forever. |
