i really like movie recommendations, especially classic foreign films (polish, french & swedish), which i would like to see more of. i am also really trying to avoid the "not interested" button, i would like to see almost any film at least once, even if i think it may be bad. lastly, IF YOU HAVE NO RATINGS OR REVIEWS I WILL NOT ADD YOU!

All About Lily Chou-Chou (Riri Shushu no subete)

this film is even a pleasure to watch on mute. i don't recommend doing so though, the music of the film is a character itself, very powerful. oshinari shugo is especially fantastic, incredibly cold, but intriguing and ichihara hayato also performs well, being able to carry moments of silence. shinoda noboru is a very talented dp, this being a standout piece of work (he seems to be an iwai favourite).

christian bale is perfect as patrick bateman and the humour in this film timed wonderfully, as well as the selection of music. marry harron did a fantastic job adapting a seemingly unadaptable and very controversial novel.

Babes in Toyland (March of the Wooden Soldiers)
Unrated
i really liked this movie since i saw it awhile ago in a music class. i found laurel and hardy just hilarious.6. The Ballad of Jack and Rose R
this is an uncomfortably beautiful film, very dramatic turns and rich characters: notably jack whose struggle to live and raise a daughter peacefully against the modern world ends up self-destructing. while lewis gives another stunning performance, there is not one performance in the film that is baneful; all of the actors were fantastic! i am very excited to see future rebecca miller projects and hopefully another pairing with lewis.

Låt den Rätte Komma In (Let the Right One in)
by RhadyHalf horror flick, half innocent romance, the film, based on Lindqvist´s novel, oozes dedication from every shot. This Tomas Alfredson dude must have been really in the mood to direct this picture, and you almost feel happy for him for getting the job.
Beautiful!

Manon of the Spring (Manon des sources)
by WasawatGreat movie of morality!! The movie is Superb like the first part(Jean de Florette). Real masterpiece series from France!! Yves Montand is a wonderful character!!
Jean de Florette i feel like i'm a god watching thier life. But Manon of the spring is more obvious drama. invite you to be one of the villagers. Even i feel a little too much pressure sometime i still love this movie!! When good and bad collide, When the truth was reveal. The confrontations in the movie are so serious and beat my heart like a drum!!
This movie is not for anyone who haven't seen "Jean de Florette" you must see the first part before this movie. I cry for both parts..
One of the great movies i will never forget!!!You should really see this once in your life!
But you must see "Jean de Florette" first!!posted 31 days ago -

You, The Living (Du levande)
by RhadyFar from being original for originality's sake, Andersson's idiossincratic approach to film structure sets itself a clear goal: to denounce, with good humor and a refined sense of the surreal, how we, the living, zombie through our lives digging our own graves and denying ourselves any glimpse of true happiness. A stunning film.
