This movie is really bad which is ashame as the actors are worth more than this film. It's just ridiculous and not in a good way. I wouldn't recommend this stupid waste of time to my worst enemy.
OK... This movie does hit all emotions... It starts off as a sweet love story. You don't know the two main characters' names, they just start flirting, but there's religion involved. Blah. Then you realise finally why one character is so annoyingly quiet, and I clocked why slightly before. It gets darker. Then the Dream Boy (who is a dream boat) takes him on a trip with two mates, and it gets a confusing ending. I'm gonna read the book because this frustrated the bloody hell out of me! Watch & you'll understand what I mean. This shouldn't have had a Mulholland Drive moment!!!!!!!
This was an interesting low budget zombie feature, which used the camera work of movies like Blair Witch & Rec. It's got a few great scenes in it, and a couple of interesting ideas... Zombie sex slave & sick perverse serial killers... But the acting is blotchy to say the least & the different 'diary entries' were hit & miss. It was OK.
Ooooh... I do love a cute German boy. But that's by the by... This is a great piece of queer foreign fun. I totally relate to the main character as dad's can be such self-righteous narcissistic twats, but you love them nonetheless. Good fun.
Some may call is generic, but for me this was a well-acted horror/thriller that went through all emotions. Misunderstandings, deep tendencies, circumstance, and survival all lead to a good mix of character tragedy. Loved it.
I literally had a couple of moments during this movie where I had goose-bumps like someone had walked over my grave. It's different, and well done, and started off with that bizarre disclaimer by Milla Jovovich at the beginning. It had the desired effect throughout I'm sure, but if you search for any of the claims made online then you'll be sorely disappointed. A successful 'make the audience believe film' like the Blair Witch was. Freaky shit.
This movie is sick and unrelenting. As a viewer you don't really get any satisfaction in a way because the innocent get slaughtered while the sicko gets spared, and is completely unapologetic. That said, it is very well done, and maybe what is the most disturbing thing is how it really could happen. With the British youth yob culture we have, which is getting worse... Who is to say it couldn't? Scary.
I thought that this movie was really well done considering they had what is known as a micro-budget! To be fair, I think it's good anyway, and there hasn't been a brit-horror quite like this. Mum & Dad are disturbed, but I sometimes feel like I can relate to parts of mum (that's so wrong!)... It's sick but with very mild humour in places. The main character who is 'adopted' is given an emotional tour de force by the actress playing her. Clever & should be commended in what they did with so little.
This is a pleasant film. You kind of enjoy watching it, but it's completely unremarkable, which is ashame with such a good cast. I smiled a few times, got bored a few times, but could relate a fair bit. Does that make me unremarkable too?
Bloody hell... I thought this may be kitsch in a good way... Nope. The acting is dreadful. You'll find better acting in Days of Our Lives or Hollyoaks. The effects are even worse, with some shots being used over & over. I use shots in very loose terms. Over-acting, under-acting. Bad bad bad bad. With better actors and an actual budget for amazing effects... Could be good!
What a load of piffle... Was so bored in the first twenty minutes I was losing the will to live... Couldn't be stuffed to watch anymore. Watch The Omen (the original).
This was really well done family Sci Fi... Even had a bit of Steam Punk thrown in. It was clever, original, and well worth a watch. With all the glittery movies we have being pumped out, this one was dark and grounded (literally).
There are so many things you could do with this idea, and so many effects that could be used... I completely drifted during this film because it could have been so much better. Pants.
Um.... What?! This movie is trying to be The Omen meets Rosemary's Baby, but in the view of the parents & babysitter. It is sheer crap. As a Trekkie I was more happy seeing a Star Trek alumni than I was the rest of this movie... And Nana Visitor was in it for a few seconds at a time!! Good ideas that are badly executed really piss me off. The way in which it leads up to and after the Vicar's death is trying to be clever, but the way the rest of the movie is treated makes it all the more ridiculous. Shite.
Hmmm.... Crap. Well acted crap, but crap. Unispired crap that took a mix off 'Single White Female' and 'Gothika' and ended up being the worst part of both in the ends.... A crying shame. Not impressed! AT ALL...
I think this would have been better had I watched it in 3D at the cinema. It's a good movie, and the animation is second to none! It's like the alternative family movie that you aren't really supposed to understand. Maybe an Alice in Wonderland, but on slightly more acid & Magic Mushrooms... Intriguing...
This movie is simply one of the most entertaining of all time. Completely colourful, outrageous, and with fantastic costumes... Who can't relate to that? That's pretty much my life. The confused look on my little sister's face as she asked me questions about it made it even better! I can watch it again and again, if just for the sheer fact that it's Tim Curry at his sheer genius best...
I don't think this movie was at all original really... It has such a great cast, but after the second victim it's pretty obvious who the White Horseman is going to end up being. I did kind of enjoy it, but there really wasn't enough substance to it. Shame... Could have been much better.
Wow... Kids really can be scary... And this movie proves it. Village of the Damned and The Exorcist eat your heart out. Bit more the girls in The Shining. FREAKY!! SO well edited it's untrue. Makes me think twice about working for Disney again. It's ashame it's not explained why all this is happening, but I applaud this film, and thought it was sheer genius.
Funny, unpredictable, and just downright enoyable.... Definitely one to check out if you haven't!! Full of stupid but great elements. It's the main characters and their friendships that make it. You kinda wish you were part of the fun.... Without losing part of your ear...
Hmm... I love the main actors' performances, but there isn't a lot to go on woth characterisation really. Why the female character was picked?! The best bits were the ending and the action section in the luggage terminal. That ruled. The effects were amazing, but if I found weapons & passports, etc in my room I'd call the police, not put my finger-prints all over it. Call them right away, Unrealistic.
