District 9 - R One of the most original science fiction films you will ever see. Brilliant. It makes a lot of comments on society, and is incredibly well done. Watch it! You will get annoyed with the weed of a main character saying fock all the time instead of fuck though! That is annoying! December 29, 2009

Pirate Radio (The Boat That Rocked) - R Highly enjoyable... I forgot what a great actor Rhys Ifans is to be honest! It's based on the days of Prirate Radio that brought Britain such stars as Kenny Everett. It's a good fun film, and shows you how these pioneers helped us get radio that plays music 24/7. Good fun. I Can't Think Straight - PG-13 This movie had so many budget issues I'm glad it finally got there. It's a really nice love story between two women from really strict families, and the subject was breached with love, care, and humour. It's a lovely story. And guess what?! I'm in it as a tennis player! Haha! December 21, 2009

13 game sayawng (13: Game of Death) (13 Beloved) - Unrated This movie was a great discovery! Really interesting twists and turns! What would you do for 100 million? 13 challenges as your bank balance goes up and up? Very clever interesting movie. I love Asian cinema! December 21, 2009

The Day the Earth Stood Still - PG-13 Keanu in the movie role of his life... Bland alien with no personality. Suited him to a tea! It was an interesting movie with good effects, but hardly satisfying to wach. Very bizarre. December 21, 2009

Sex Drive - R Another loveable geeky teenager tries to get laid and hilarity ensues. This is nearly as classic as American Pie. Just brilliantly done, and well worth the laugh. December 21, 2009

The Life Before Her Eyes - R This movie just ended up completely getting on my tits. It didn't explain itself properly at all, and you didn't really know where you were at in the end. Was she dead? Did she ever a kid? In the end I just thought who the hell cares... Drivel. December 21, 2009

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist - PG-13 Michael Cera is his usual cute adorable nerd self that you fall in love with, and Kat Dennings is quirkily beautiful They make a great match, and if your heart doesn't flutter a bit as you watch this then you don't have one! December 21, 2009

Inglourious Basterds - R This movie is pretty fucked up. The chapters could be short films in themselves. It makes you laugh, cringe, and keep guessing though, and that is the main thing. Some parts were too drawn out, but I guess that keeps you in suspense for the climax of the scene. Mad. December 21, 2009

Orphan - R This movie is freaky and twisted... Especially twisted at the end! But sheer genius! The characters are brilliant, the plot is phenomenal, and it's original and great... Nothing is freakier than psycho children! December 21, 2009

Terminator Salvation - PG-13 There is nothing likeable about John Conner in this movie in my opinion, and it is trying to be far too clever for it's own good & for me it isn't great. Or even good. Convoluted tripe. December 21, 2009

The Hangover - R Ever had that morning where you wonder what the hell happened the night before? Well, this epitomises that! Everything that could go wrong, and rarely right does! I love Mr Chow and hate Mike Tyson! Geniusly funny viewing. December 16, 2009

The Proposal - PG-13 Sandra is at her best in this movie as is Ryan. This is so endearing and really enjoyable. Made me wish i could find someone and fall in love after seeing something i never saw before in them! December 15, 2009

Hot Shots! Part Deux - PG-13 I forget how nonsensical but great this stupid movie is! A real cult stupid classic like the Naked Gun and Airplane movies' December 15, 2009

Mortuary - R This movie is really bad which is ashame as the actors are worth more than this film. It's just ridiculous and not in a good way. I wouldn't recommend this stupid waste of time to my worst enemy. December 8, 2009

Humpday - R Sounds hilariously random! December 8, 2009

Dream Boy - R OK... This movie does hit all emotions... It starts off as a sweet love story. You don't know the two main characters' names, they just start flirting, but there's religion involved. Blah. Then you realise finally why one character is so annoyingly quiet, and I clocked why slightly before. It gets darker. Then the Dream Boy (who is a dream boat) takes him on a trip with two mates, and it gets a confusing ending. I'm gonna read the book because this frustrated the bloody hell out of me! Watch & you'll understand what I mean. This shouldn't have had a Mulholland Drive moment!!!!!!! November 15, 2009

The Zombie Diaries - Unrated This was an interesting low budget zombie feature, which used the camera work of movies like Blair Witch & Rec. It's got a few great scenes in it, and a couple of interesting ideas... Zombie sex slave & sick perverse serial killers... But the acting is blotchy to say the least & the different 'diary entries' were hit & miss. It was OK. November 15, 2009

Reine Geschmacksache (Fashion Victims) - Unrated Ooooh... I do love a cute German boy. But that's by the by... This is a great piece of queer foreign fun. I totally relate to the main character as dad's can be such self-righteous narcissistic twats, but you love them nonetheless. Good fun. November 14, 2009

Donkey Punch - R Some may call is generic, but for me this was a well-acted horror/thriller that went through all emotions. Misunderstandings, deep tendencies, circumstance, and survival all lead to a good mix of character tragedy. Loved it. November 13, 2009

The Fourth Kind - PG-13 I literally had a couple of moments during this movie where I had goose-bumps like someone had walked over my grave. It's different, and well done, and started off with that bizarre disclaimer by Milla Jovovich at the beginning. It had the desired effect throughout I'm sure, but if you search for any of the claims made online then you'll be sorely disappointed. A successful 'make the audience believe film' like the Blair Witch was. Freaky shit. November 13, 2009

Eden Lake - R This movie is sick and unrelenting. As a viewer you don't really get any satisfaction in a way because the innocent get slaughtered while the sicko gets spared, and is completely unapologetic. That said, it is very well done, and maybe what is the most disturbing thing is how it really could happen. With the British youth yob culture we have, which is getting worse... Who is to say it couldn't? Scary. November 13, 2009

Mum & Dad - Unrated I thought that this movie was really well done considering they had what is known as a micro-budget! To be fair, I think it's good anyway, and there hasn't been a brit-horror quite like this. Mum & Dad are disturbed, but I sometimes feel like I can relate to parts of mum (that's so wrong!)... It's sick but with very mild humour in places. The main character who is 'adopted' is given an emotional tour de force by the actress playing her. Clever & should be commended in what they did with so little. November 12, 2009

Were the World Mine - Unrated I've heard about this movie a few times & keep forgetting that I want to see it! Or buy it!! November 12, 2009

How to Lose Friends & Alienate People - R This is a pleasant film. You kind of enjoy watching it, but it's completely unremarkable, which is ashame with such a good cast. I smiled a few times, got bored a few times, but could relate a fair bit. Does that make me unremarkable too? November 8, 2009
