The film in which I fell in love with Angelina Jolie. They did a great job casting Mila Kunis as a young Gia too because the similarities between Angelina and she were striking. Not that either of them looked anything like Gia Carangi. I understand that it wasn't very accurate regarding her real life, but it was still a great filml.
It was great. I wish that we had been able to see what actually happened to Jake's character. But the ending, with Ennis and Jake's clothing: that killed me. And I probably just gave the whole movie away. *lol*
The acting was phenomenal in this and made me take Channing Tatum as more than just that cute face in the Mountain Dew commercial. It's a memoir of the life of Dito Montiel, and he directed it also, and he did a great job telling his own story.
I can't really explain what makes this film so great besides the acting. The acting was superb. It's a great story and you can't help but become involved with the characters.
1. You do not talk about fight club. 2. You DO NOT talk about fight club. 3. If someone says stop, goes limp, taps out, the fight is over. 4. Only two guys to a fight. 5. Only one fight at a time. 6. No shirts, no shoes. 7. The fights go on as long as they have to. 8. If this is your first night at fight club, you have to fight.
Everyone just shut the hell up about my rating. I absolutely adore this movie and it's one of my favorites. I can watch it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...
Manga/Anime is better. I'm a big Tatsuya Fujiwara fan, and this stayed very true to the manga, but it was slow and tedious at times. It also wasn't able to explain the rules and how they work as well as the anime does.
Update: I understand they're going to make an American version possibly with Zac Efron as the lead. I guess that works, since he sort of resembles Light. I think he may be able to pull it off, since he manages to look downright creepy in some of his photos. I think whatshisface from the Funny Games remake would be a good a good L. And I'm hoping that they could do the live/animated meshing better than it was done in this version of the film.
I was upset that the Anime ended so abruptly, [although the manga is still as awesome as ever!] but this film tied up those loose ends from the series, which I needed. The thought of after 4 years the brothers still not being together as their selves was heart breaking.
Fucking great. It was no Iron Man, but it was great. The CGI was very good for the Hulk and the action was great. Edward Norton was marvelous [as usual!] and Liv Tyler was pretty good too. I felt that Tim Roth and William Hurt were...lacking. But tolerable.
I was very upset to see that the Captain America cameo was cut, but Tony Stark's cameo, and the appearance of 'Nick Fury' on some documents were welcome tease towards the upcoming Avengers film.
Here's hoping that Norton will sign on for the next IH films because he was an excellent Bruce Banner!!
Wow. I'm just gonna jump on the bandwagon here and say that Heath should definitely be an Oscar contender for that role.
It was amazing. It was simply, fucking brilliant. It was so very, very close to perfection if not there. I'm just...I walked out of the theater about an hour ago and I...I need to process it fully.
I'm so in awe and blown away. The acting was fucking flawless. The IMAX shots were obviously IMAX and they took my breath away sometimes. The action and stunts: spectacular.
I'm rambling. It was great. Jack Nicholson, whom I love and adore - can kiss ass if he doesn't recognize the brilliance that was Heath's portrayal of the sadistic, scary, wonderfully twisted and humorous Joker.
Oh my gosh. I could go on for days about how much I love this film. But I won't. I'll just say that if you ever see another adult comedy in your lifetime - it NEEDS to be this one.
It's a classic and I can't wait for the next film from this crew.
