Sadly, Clint Eastwood was unable to capture the magic of rugby, or even the drama of the games. Granted, I cannot think right now of a sports movie that has been able do render it beautifully enough. As an american (by which I mean he probably does not know much about rugby), the task was probably much too difficult, and he did not made a too terrible job of it.
As for the parts of the movie that are unrelated to the game, this is Clint's business as usual : great actors, magnificent director, a lot of sensitivity... He's still got it.
