Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children
Love the action and love the storyline!
3
The Punisher (2004,  R)
The Punisher
Absolutely amazing film. If you like a cool heroic figure and hardcore action consisting of lots of guns, fist fights, and explosions then this film is for you. It has a very good storyline too which adds up to all that awesome action. Thanks to this film The Punisher became by far my most favourite comic book hero.
4
Saw (2004,  R)
Saw
Full of twists. Story unfolds at a perfect rate. This is my MOST FAVOURITE ever horror film!
5
The Thing (1982,  R)
The Thing
Mysterious and awesome! One of the best horror films ever. Keeps the suspense at all times and music is great too.
6
28 Weeks Later... (2007,  R)
28 Weeks Later...
This film was pure classic! Not only it had an amazing element of horror, but it had incredibly tense action scenes and just an overall wow factor. One scene reminded me of Resident Evil Apocalypse, but obviously this movie is way better. It showed really well of how a serious situation got out of control and how almost nothing could be done about it except for extreme measures.
It also had one little interesting biological concept about infection.
Overall I think this is what the horror movies should be like and I would recommend it to anyone who is not squimish to gore.
7
The Island (2005,  PG-13)
The Island
A true sci-fi masterpiece with an amazing storyline. A must see!
8
Hot Fuzz (2007,  R)
Hot Fuzz
This was a very unique film. It was a mixture of comedy, action and even a bit of horror/thriller too and managed to capture the best from each genre. The story is very interesting and consuming and keeps you guessing, supported by a very funny and very cool action. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost played their roles exceptionally well and suit to be playing side by side. This is definitely a must see film this year.
9
Shoot 'Em Up (2007,  R)
Shoot 'Em Up
This film has the best gunfight scenes that I have ever seen. Special effects were extremelly well polished and the action even had some laughs.
I also really liked Clive Owen's character. He suited the whole dark type of hero a lot and the whole carrot theme was pretty funny and unique.
10
Troy (2004,  R)
Troy
Awesome, memorable conversations and brilliant action!
11
X2 (2003,  PG-13)
X2
In my opinion the best of the X-men films. Finally lots of new characters that weren't in the first film, amazing storyline and awesome action. Nightcrawler rules!
12
Avatar (2009,  PG-13)
Avatar
A definite masterpiece.

This movie nailed it, and by that I mean absolutely knocked me out with its awesomeness. I went in expecting it to be good, but not amazing. I was pleasantly surprised.

The film is about humans visiting a new planet and trying to colonise it. The scientists are trying to win over the planet natives and to gain their trust. But the military just want to raid and destroy everything. The humans have a clever technology, the avatars, living alien clones made out of the DNA of a specific human being. Only that human being can then take control of the clone's body. After the first expedition, the main character gets lost in the woods and joins the local race living in the woods - the Na'vi. At first they dislike him and mock him, but he gradually earns their trust as he learns their ways.

The movie has a lot of deep and spiritual themes as conflicts enfold between the Na'vi and the human military. This movie tackles many different emotions - destiny, love, courage, respect, feeling belonged and more.

I'd suggest you to watch this film in 3D, because then you can fully enjoy the beautiful stunning graphics and the mind-blowing action sequences.

Avatar can easily be the best movie of the year. Yeah, there were some other good movies. But Avatar is truly what the movie experience is all about - great story, great new world that engulfs and the ability to make the audience feel what the characters feel.
13
The Longest Yard (2005,  PG-13)
The Longest Yard
Awesome! The best of the best!
14
Doomsday (2008,  R)
Doomsday
I really love these kind of movies - some kind of a deadly infection has gone out of control.
Maybe it wasn't that special plotwise, it definitely excelled in action, and by excelled I mean completely conquered every type of action there is. It perhaps had everything in it actionwise: an epidemic of infection and the extreme measures used against it, some sickly gothic bloodfest, unbelievable car chases, cool gun fights, medieval face-offs and martial arts. This movie is definitely for action lovers.
The lead actress did a good job as a cool stylish hardcore heroine who pretty much kicks anyone's ass and also has quite a darkside to her.
I'm glad that I wasn't disappointed with this film, because I spent more money on it than I usually spend on DVDs.
Definitely will recommend this to you if you loved 28 Days/Weeks later, I am Legend and Resident Evil movies.
15
300 (2007,  R)
300
This film was really worth it. It had some of the most amazing battle scenes ever, using slow and fast motion assisted with tonnes of blood. The characters were very well played and had a very strong aura to them. But apart from that this film was extremelly unique due to its amazing yellow theme colour.
16
X-Men Origins - Wolverine (2009,  PG-13)
X-Men Origins - Wolverine
Absolutely loved this film, which is no wonder of course since I also adored all the other 3 X-men films.

Hugh Jackman pulls off the role of Wolverine excellently once again, and many supporting actors did well too. Liev Schreiber was a really cool Sabertooth and you could feel his rivalry with Wolverine really well. For William Stryker however I preferred Brian Cox more (in X2). There was also a considerable number of other cool characters, mostly mutants such as Deadpool, Gambit and even a young Cyclops.

The plot was pretty good, although with most prequels the only disadvantage is that you know pretty much what's going to happen and who is going to die and who isn't, because you've already seen the other films which happen after.

But the action - now that is a definite eye-candy. I just loved the action and all the wonderful fight scenes, in particular closer to the end when Deadpool was involved.

If you're a fan of other X-men movies then don't miss this one.
17
Saw IV (2007,  R)
Saw IV
As usual this SAW sequel introduced a whole lot of new characters, as well as brought some old ones back. It rescued the series as it was better than the 3rd movie in my opinion. It still contained tonnes of gore, but it also brought an interesting story, it's as if the whole case went back to the start as someone else resumed Jigsaw's work.
The story is pretty clear throughout the movie right up to the ending when it got extremelly confusing. (if someone wants to discuss it with me then I'd be happy to, because I did not entirely understand it)
The soundtrack got even better. A lot of new tunes which are based off the original Saw theme tune. I really enjoyed listening to them throughout the movie.
Overall - an excellent movie that can match up to the first two in the series.
18
Saw II (2005,  R)
Saw II
Not as good as the first one, but still amazing
19
X-Men: The Last Stand (2006,  PG-13)
X-Men: The Last Stand
Impressive! Even more new characters. Story line was OK and the final battle in my opinion was one of the best battle scenes in film history. A very good way to end such a fantastic trilogy.
20
Mortal Kombat (1995,  PG-13)
Mortal Kombat
Amazing concept and awesomely-correographed fights.
21
Nothing to Lose (1997,  R)
Nothing to Lose
A very funny film. This is one of the funniest films I have ever seen. Contains a lot of funny moments and a pretty interesting story. Tim Robbins and Martin Lawrence make a funny duo.
22
Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2) (2008,  PG-13)
Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2)
Absolutely beautiful movie. The visual effects are just amazing and are crawling with rich fantasy.
The storyline wasn't anything to spit at either. It introduced a whole new element of fantasy into the franchise with many interesting characters.
Now to the characters. Ron Perlman still does an amazing job as Hellboy. Hellboy still has his cool attitude with witty one liners. Same for Abe Sapien. He's a very interesting character and there was a funny scene in a movie when him and Hellboy sang together. Liz Sherman by Selma Blair was even cooler in this one than in the first one. Not much else to say really, but there was a good chemistry between her and Hellboy. Krauss was a funny new character. He was kind of like half ghost and half robot. Shows how great and original the ideas in this film are as this character was very unique... and with a German accent. Prince Nuada was a great villain with his sister Princess Nuala who was opposing him. Overall the variety of the creatures in this film is simply amazing. There are so many!
The action scenes as you expect are also exceptional, in particular towards the end. I mean if you've got fascinating creatures like that then surely action involving them will be just as amazing.
If you are a fantasy fan or are overall a fan of modern action films then I would highly advise you to watch this film, because it's definitely a unique one.
23
Spider-Man 3 (2007,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 3
I LOVED this film!!! The fight sequences were just mind-blowing and the fact that there were 3 villains in it just makes it even better.
Acting was better than in the 1st two films, I think and all of the characters were very well developed. It went to the point where you could feel what each of them feels.
I especially enjoyed the special effects of Sandman, especially when he only just got formed and was getting out of sand.
This film also has a very amazing soundtrack, especially the Venom theme music.
The only drawbacks are that the fight sequences were more rared out than in the 1st two films and that Venom made a bit of a late move for Peter Parker so only was for the 2nd half of the film.
Watch out for the ending fight, it's just the best!!!
24
Resident Evil: Extinction (2007,  R)
Resident Evil: Extinction
Wow! I cannot even begin to describe how much I enjoyed the action in this. Everything - blood splashing, guns, flamethrowing, machete slashing, telekinesis, you name it.
And a lot of characters too, with plenty of gory deaths. I must say I've enjoyed this one more than the previous two. The zombified birds definitely did it for me, and a brilliant ending too. Hope there will be a part 4.
25
28 Days Later (2003,  R)
28 Days Later
Infected are the best. Gotta love them.
26
Zombieland (2009,  R)
Zombieland
One of the most entertaining films ever. It surpassed my expectations.

Zombieland is about a zombie outbreak, something we've seen many times before, but it gives it a whole new humour. Zombies in this one are fast-running and are rather violent, There is a lot of silly gore in the film, but it's not a repulsive gore, it's funny gore.

The acting was OK. It wasn't really the highlight of the film. But the chemistry between characters was pretty good in some ways.

Well what makes me give this film 5 stars then? Well just the way it was presented to the audience and for all the one-liners. It has a great entertainment value and that is always something that attracts me. Any movie that can help you forget your daily problems and just blast you with silly gore and funny one-liners tends to get 5 stars from me. I am telling you, if you want entertainment, then you'll get it from this movie.
27
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991,  R)
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Hasta la vista, baby!
Yes indeed. One of the best Arnie films and interesting concepts.
28
Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines (2003,  R)
Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines
Gotta love seeing amazing battle scenes involving Arnie with his new phrases!
29
Total Recall (1990,  R)
Total Recall
One of Arnie's best films. This film has a very amazing and interesting storyline with a few twists. Special effects are really good for that time and action is very entertaining. If you are an Arnie fan then you should definitely see this film. Very similar to '6th day' also starring Arnie.
30
Evolution (2001,  PG-13)
Evolution
Absolutely hilarious and very random! A must see if you're into films which show an outbreak of something dangerous but in a funny way.
31
Happy Gilmore (1996,  PG-13)
Happy Gilmore
Very funny. Adam Sandler is ace at playing guys with anger management problems!
32
I, Robot (2004,  PG-13)
I, Robot
Just seen it for the 2nd time. I must admit that after watching it again, more of the story began to make sense.
The special effects are absolutely amazing with some really good action. Acting was brilliant and robot Sonny was an adorable character. This is one of the best and most realistic movies about the future in my opinion.
33
Jumanji (1995,  PG)
Jumanji
Legendary!!!!!!! Never gets old!
34
Mystery Men (1999,  PG-13)
Mystery Men
Simply hilarious! This film is about a group of amateur superheroes all with crappy superpowers, but with their teamwork and passion they go against a madman who wants to raise havoc in the whole world.
35
X-Men (2000,  PG-13)
X-Men
A very good introduction to an amazing trilogy. Beautiful action!
36
Idiocracy (2006,  R)
Idiocracy
Moderately funny with a relatively interesting and original plot. I wonder if there will be a sequel to this film, because it would be really interesting to know where all of this went afterwards.
Watched it again and still find the laughs funny. Make sure you check out the deleted scenes, the 'Museum of Fart' one is hilarious.
37
Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (AVP 2) (2007,  R)
Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (AVP 2)
This movie jumped into action from the first minute. It was different to the first one, it was much better than the first one. AvPR took us exactly to similar battlefield as the two Predator movies did - woods and city.
The predator in this movie was a real anti-Alien badass and is definitely a kind of character that I would consider a hero.
Acting in this movie was mediocre, but then again hardly any horror movies out there actually have good actors. Perhaps the best character development was by the Predator and Predalien. Those two really showed of what kind of nemesis they were to each other.
Action was superb. Even though some fights were in too much dark, I would still classify them as top notch because afterall they were between a Predator and Aliens and that's classic already.
The plot was nothing special. However I wouldn't blame this film for it. This film was just trying to fix the mess that the first movie began and giving the franchise some storyline.
I personally thought that the love story in the beginning didn't fit in with the whole Alien and Predator theme. It was like watching two different movies that kept on interrupting each other. I also didn't like how the whole government theme was introduced.
However despite those two things I still think that this is one of the best horror-action-sci-fi movies I've ever seen. It had much more horror atmosphere than the 1st one and more deaths some of which were a bit of a surprise, which also made it slightly realistic.
Overall - great actionwise and great for rewatching, but mediocre plot. This puts it above the first AvP movie and definitely in my favourites list.
38
The Rundown (Welcome to the Jungle) (2003,  PG-13)
The Rundown (Welcome to the Jungle)
Hilarious and cool!!!
This movie has an awesome combination of an amazing action star and an amazing comedian. Plus the storyline is pretty chilled and therefore is perfect for rewatching. I've seen this movie at least 5 times now.
Oh and there is quick shot of Arnie in the beginning. 'Have fun!'
39
Anchorman - The Legend Of Ron Burgundy (2004,  PG-13)
Anchorman - The Legend Of Ron Burgundy
Glad to see a movie with almost every member of the Frat pack being in it. This movie is really hilarious, full of little jokes every now and then.

The plot was a bit average and is a pretty common plot for comedies, but the actors and the laughs definitely shined.

Perhaps my favourite scene in this film was the scene where all the news teams were having a huge melee fight. Coolness!
40
Spider-Man 2 (2004,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 2
Better than the first one, I think, in every way - action, storyline and the villain.
41
The Matrix (1999,  R)
The Matrix
Beautiful action! A perfect way to relieve stress!
42
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999,  PG)
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace
Just watched it again and I have to say that this is definitely my favourite Star Wars film out of the new trilogy. Surely there are more deaths and drama in 2 and 3, but Phantom Menace has much better characters in my opinion and the lightsaber fight at the end is truly awesome.
43
Ghost Rider (2007,  PG-13)
Ghost Rider
This was an awesome movie. Special effects were totally mind-blowing and Ghost Rider is utterly cool.
Perhaps Ghost Rider himself didn't have too much screen time, but when he did those scenes were exceptional. Most of the villains I'd say weren't original, but that was OK. Ghost Rider is definitely a hero with style.
44
The Terminator (1984,  R)
The Terminator
This is an awesome film and an awesome trilogy. Action and storyline were great. Arnie is absolutely ideal to play a Terminator. Even though I more prefer him to be a good Terminator.
45
The 6th Day (2000,  PG-13)
The 6th Day
One of the best Arnie films. I'd say this film is pretty similar to Total Recall. It involves cloning, futuristic guns and double trouble super Arnie action.
Just watched it again since a long time and loved it even more.
46
The One (2001,  PG-13)
The One
Incredible fighting, action and storyline. A must see.
Just watched it again in a long while and must say that it's one of the best action movies to date.
47
Watchmen (2009,  R)
Watchmen
An absolutely fantastic movie. It's a masterpiece of the comic book hero movies. This movie matched my expectations and even surpassed them a little.

The plot was confusing at some parts, but it was very interesting and captivating. It definitely requires more than one watch in order to understand it all, but I've managed to understand most of it and I've never read the comics. It was about human nature for the most part. There is a nuclear war between US and Russia and the doomsday of nuclear holocaust is near, so a few brave heroes try to do anything possible in order to make sure that doesn't happen.

Characters were amazing. Each one was developped really well and was a key to the story. Rorschach and Dr Manhattan were my favourite because they seemed to be the most interesting and mysterious ones.

Special effects and cinematography - just super. If you have anything to nitpick on those then you shouldn't be watching these kind of movies at all.

Soundtrack was great too. Sure it was rather random in places, but still - it added this strange element of awe to the movie which a lot of movies do not have and so I definitely think it was a good idea.

The only drawback to this movie to me was that it had a bit too many sex scenes and nudity in general. Sure it's not a bad thing to have some of it in a movie, but I think they overshot it in this film.

Nevertheless no movie is perfect and so this movie easily deserves 5 stars from me. It was nearly 3 hours long, but its plot and characters were so interesting that I could've easily watched it for another hour.
48
Push (2009,  PG-13)
Push
No matter how much this film is getting slagged off by critics, I really enjoyed it. I didn't have any doubts in that of course. From the moment I saw the trailer, I knew I'd enjoy this film.

The concept of powers that some people have is definitely awesome. It might be similar to X-men films, but the idea of powers in this one is kind of different. These are mostly mind powers, so you can never know who has the power and who doesn't. Besides the way this film presented them was something. It has a pretty awesome 'mindf***' for a simple action movie. Considering there are people who see the future of any decision you make, people who can sniff you out based on any item that you've used, people who can push you to believe any fabrication they say and other stuff, the amount of possibilities of what can happen next is limitless. It keeps you guessing.

The acting for the most part was pretty all right actually. Everyone got into their role in their own way. Djimon Hounsou plays a cool villain, Dakota Fanning plays a young girl with a power to see the future and she really well portrays the anxiety because the future looks bad, Camilla Belle with her portrayal of the only survivor of the drugs that government used on the people with powers, and of course Chris Evans as the main protagonist.

I definitely enjoyed this film. It's an action movie with a good story. If you like those then you should give this film a try.
49
The Condemned (2007,  R)
The Condemned
I really enjoyed it. Violence was pretty bloody and brutal and the idea is really cool too. Reminded me of 'The Running man'.
The only let down I think is that they should've been concentrating more on what's happening inside 'the game' rather than outside of it.
But overall, a lot of deaths, and most were awesomely done. A couple of people were showed as real bad-ass bad guys. This film shows human nature pretty well when stranded: some will attempt to form friendships, others will go on a killing spree, thirds will just be minding their own business until they hit trouble.
Overall an awesome movie for action and wrestling fans, with a brilliant finish.
50
Terminator Salvation (2009,  PG-13)
Terminator Salvation
Not surprised that I absolutely loved this film. Although there was only a small scene with Arnie in it, yet it wasn't even him, I still thought the film did great. It connected to the story of the first three really well and introduced a bunch of interesting characters.

Christian Bale does a good job as John Connor. However Sam Worthington I think does an even greater job with his character. Overall the acting was pretty well done in this film.

By far the main highlight of the film is its action and cinematography. The machines all looked awesome, especially the gigantic human carrier. The first time that thing made an appearance I got blown away. Overall the action is great and is a pure eye-candy.

This is a good film that combines story, action and acting well. If you liked the other Terminator films, then you should like this one too, so long as you can accept that Arnie does not play the main role anymore.
51
Cube Zero (2004,  R)
Cube Zero
The first scene was the BEST as it was goriest in a way that I haven't seen something like this happen in any other movie before. The storyline was amazing and linked to the 1st Cube very well.
52
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983,  PG)
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi
My favourite Star Wars movie from the old trilogy and my second favourite Star Wars movie overall. This one was interesting at all parts. I loved the beginning, I loved the middle and I loved the end.
The acting was superb, special effects were quite well done, and ewoks were pretty funny.
'What is thy bidding, master?'
53
Scary Movie 4 (2006,  PG-13)
Scary Movie 4
These 'Scary Movie' films keep on getting better and better. This one is my most favourite one in the series.
54
Vacancy (2007,  R)
Vacancy
A very well done horror film. It was suspenseful from the 1st minute and until the very end. The beginning was a bit of a stereotypical horror film, but then it got back on track and proved to be very intense.
It had a good theme music, clever plot, intense action and even pretty entertaining titles.
55
The Waterboy (1998,  PG-13)
The Waterboy
If you are Adam Sandler fan then this film is a must see for you. The humour in this film is awesome and Adam Sandler acted his role perfectly. He managed to speak in a fake voice throughout the whole film what really shocked me. There were also occasional funny moments with Rob Schneider. This film is very similar to Adam Sandler's few other movies like 'The Longest Yard' and 'Happy Gilmore'.
56
The Animal (2001,  PG-13)
57
Scary Movie 3 (2003,  PG-13)
Scary Movie 3
A very funny film! Unmissable!
58
1408 (2007,  PG-13)
1408
I was totally amazed by the film and it was proper scary, unlike many other horror films which call themselves scary. In this film the whole plot was a surprise, i.e. anything could happen at any moment.
And also some of the twists really got me. Overall - one of the best horror films out there.
Just one more thing... do not be deceived and enjoy the chill.
59
Tais-Toi (2004,  Unrated)
Tais-Toi
You can't stop laughing while watching this film.
60
Big Nothing (2007,  Unrated)
Big Nothing
This is a rather interesting film. Even though trying to be a comedy it wasn't too funny, but it was incredibly interesting. Simon Pegg and David Schwimmer did a good job in it. It is about a group of co-workers planning to steal some money, but end up in all sorts of mess as everything went not as they planned it.
61
Scary Movie (2000,  R)
Scary Movie
Niiiiice! A very funny film. Must see it.
62
Spawn (1997,  PG-13)
Spawn
Bloody awesome! Spawn rules! Evil clown sucks!
Spawn is basically a spooky and dark hero, along with the Punisher and Ghost Rider.
In my opinion the film was very enjoyable and I highly recommend it to people who like dark and mysterious heroes who come back for revenge.
63
Predator (1987,  R)
Predator
What can I say? How can you have a bad film with Arnie?
Basically a hunter from another planet came to Earth to kill people and collect their skulls. He must face Arnie though. It's the battle of the gladiators!!!!!!
64
Cube (1998,  R)
Cube
One of those weird but surprisingly interesting movies which are very fun to watch. If you love maths then you'll definitely love this film.
65
Doom (2005,  R)
Doom
Very similar to the video game. Contains awesome video game style action and has The Rock starring in it, so is a great movie.
66
Night at the Museum (2006,  PG)
Night at the Museum
In my opinion Ben Stiller's best film so far. The story draws you in and the characters are adorable, especially the T-rex.
67
The Running Man (1987,  R)
The Running Man
Also one of the best Arnie films. This film is about a TV show where people are put into some sort of maze and have to fight hitmen that get sent to kill them for the audience. Arnie gets to beat up the guys bigger than him here, so enjoy.
68
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007,  PG)
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
I enjoyed this one more than the first one. This one had more drama, better character development in my opinion and of course much cooler action sequences and special effects.
Silver Surfer was extremelly cool and was my favourite character in this film. It was also nice to see someone evil making a come back. Hint hint.
I also was really impressed by all the space sequences involving exploding planets and Galactus in general. Good movie!
69
Spider-Man (2002,  PG-13)
Spider-Man
A superhero spiderman meets his first enemy - the green goblin. Impressively done.
70
The Mummy (1999,  PG-13)
The Mummy
Loved this movie every time I watched it. It was just so incredibly interesting and well-done for the time when I first saw it. The characters were good, even those that got little screen time, the action was very entertaining, and the special effects are fantastic.
71
Gabriel (2007,  Unrated)
Gabriel
WOW! This movie had so many great messages and such an interesting and gripping plot, I just love it. It is easy to be bad, but it is very hard to be kind and righteous.
The action wasn't anything to spit at either. It was truly unique and even Matrix-like at some parts. But there was not as much of it as I hoped there would be.
The main character Gabriel was portrayed really well and in fact I could feel everything what he felt throughout the whole movie. A true hero!
And yet again, the twist at the end and overall the ending was very powerful (if you listen to what they're saying of course).
I would highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoyed light vs dark type movies, such as Night Watch.
72
Batman Begins (2005,  PG-13)
Batman Begins
Two words: Story packed.

The beginning of the movie was OK, it showed a lot of flashbacks of Bruce Wayne's childhood and some scenes of his training. There was little action there.
However in the second half it's gotten very epic, very dark and very heroic. Batman truly shows himself as an awesome hero here. A couple of the action scenes completely blew me away.
The acting was also very impressive by most of the actors. I was hoping Scarecrow/Cilian Murphy would get a little more screen time. His character was truly weird and in some ways cool.
As I mentioned already, this movie is story packed. One of the strongest storylines I've seen so far. If I were to change the film in some way then I'd only cut down a bit on some bits in the first half, but otherwise a brilliant movie.
73
Rush Hour (1998,  PG-13)
Rush Hour
One of the best martial arts movies in my opinion, because it manages to have a decent storyline as well as plenty of laughs. Both Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are funny in this and are a great duo. All three Rush Hour movies are great, but this one is definitely the most memorable one.
74
Starsky & Hutch (2004,  PG-13)
Starsky & Hutch
Well what do you expect? A movie with the guys from the Frat pack can't possibly be bad. It had so many laughs, though a relatively simple plot. I can say that almost every character in this movie was developed well and had something funny about their personality.
'Do it!'
75
Big Trouble in Little China (1986,  PG-13)
Big Trouble in Little China
I loved this movie as a kid and now I watched it again after a long while and enjoyed it one more time.
It has awesome action scenes for its time, consisting of martial arts and dark magic.
Kurt Russell's character is really cool in this. Also the villains are great, especially the 3 Storms. It's an action movie that has some good laughs chipped into it.
76
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 - Dream Warriors (1987,  R)
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 - Dream Warriors
In my opinion this is the best Nightmare on Elm street film!

Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare (1991,  R)
Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare
In my opinion one of the best Nightmare on Elm street films. It keeps you interested and that what matters. Also Freddy uses a lot of memorable one liners in this one. Too bad that he gets killed.

Final Destination (2000,  R)
Final Destination
You like weird deaths? You like unexpected moments? Then this film is perfect for you. Has very good storyline and very impressively thought-out deaths.

Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood (1988,  R)
Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood
Jason is a legend. This movie is very suspenseful, but I found it funny at the same time too just because how strange the violence is in these Friday the 13th films. Jason can find just about anything to stick into a person, even a party horn.
This one also had another plot going side by side with Jason's killings and it was a concept of telekinesis and how lead character was using it.
Pretty entertaining movie overall.

Friday the 13th Part 3 (1982,  R)
Friday the 13th Part 3
Pretty awesome for a film involving ruthless killing.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984,  R)
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Ahh! The first film of the legendary series. Very good. The only drawback is that you don't get to see Freddy much in this one.

Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor) (2006,  R)
Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor)
Very consuming story line and pretty good action. Much better than its sequel.

White Noise 2: The Light (2007,  PG-13)
White Noise 2: The Light
Amazing! Miles better than the 1st one, and I mean it literally. The plot was just so interesting and revealing itself at the right pace with unexpected events.
The acting was really well done too, especially by Nathan Fillion. His character was very believable and you could actually feel what he feels.
The only thing is that now knowing the whole plot, is this going to be just as interesting the second time round? That's the only reason I didn't give it full 5 stars. But otherwise, I definitely recommend this movie to everyone who loves supernatural, psychological horror/thrillers, especially the ones about life and death.

The Hangover (2009,  R)
The Hangover
Simply hilarious.

This film is not exactly clever, but it's extremelly funny, which is what comedies are supposed to be essentially. They're there to make you laugh and get entertained and this film does this perfectly well.

At first I wasn't so sure if I'll like it, but very quickly the movie proved me wrong. The 4 main characters are 4 completely different guys personality-wise who are friends and go to Las Vegas for a bachelor party. The next morning, not remembering anything from the night before, 3 of them realise that they lost one of their friends (the one who is supposed to be getting married) and so the search begins as they gradually find out bit by bit what happened the night before and why they couldn't remember anything.

The movie is not just hilarious, but it's sort of interesting too, because it makes the audience also wonder about what happened the night before.

A light-hearted movie and is made purely for the laughs. If you need cheering up, this is the movie to watch.

The Pink Panther (2006,  PG)
The Pink Panther
Hilarious film. You will be surprised. The hamburger part was probably my favourite.
86
Silent Hill (2006,  R)
Silent Hill
This is one twisted movie, but at the same time it is very clever in my opinion. It keeps you interested of what happens next. Also it contains almost no jumpy moments, but it is very scary due to the fact that the idea is very scary and also this film has a very strong horror atmosphere. Way too many horror movies rely on jumpy moments to make them scary, but in reality it is the films which have a scary idea are the ones that tend to leave a mark behind and the ones people probably would find the most scary and I think that Silent Hill had succeeded in this. Because of what actually happens in the film I think this is one of the scariest films I've ever seen.

Balto (1995,  G)
Balto
An amazing film. I used to watch it a lot as a child and I still love it. Want to see it again.

Minority Report (2002,  PG-13)
Minority Report
Very clever storyline which keeps you guessing of what might happen next. Assisting it is an awesome action in near future.

Next (2007,  PG-13)
Next
I really love these kind of movies to do with time and changing future and this movie was no different. I really enjoyed the action and the story. Acting was no bad either.
However I won't give it 5 stars because I didn't like the twist at the end and overall how the movie just ended. It's just, if you're gonna have a twist like that then at least add extra 20 minutes to the movie to see how it all ends. Nevertheless if this was meant to lead to the sequel then I can't wait.

Serenity (2005,  PG-13)
Serenity
Watched this for the second time yesterday and understood much more of the plot this time round. I have to say the action in this movie is really fantastic.
91
I Am Legend (2007,  PG-13)
I Am Legend
An extremelly professionally done film. It was almost flawless. Acting was brilliant, atmosphere was very realistic and the plot was believable. Perhaps it dragged a tiny bit in the beginning, but that is insignificant. This movie is about a cure that went wrong, causing mass extinction of humanity and how after 3 years one man tries to survive alone.
This movie is pretty similar to 28 Days and Weeks Later, but is more scientific, deep and psychological rather than actiony.
I highly advise this film to anyone who likes tense moments and good plot.
92
Paycheck (2003,  PG-13)
93
The Matrix Reloaded (2003,  R)
The Matrix Reloaded
Fight scenes are even more impressive than in the first one, but storyline got much weaker.
94
The Shawshank Redemption (1994,  R)
The Shawshank Redemption
The most powerful film I've ever seen, I think. It gripped me from the very beginning, from the 1st minute and I was gripped throughout the whole film. It was like 2 hours I spent outside my life in a completely different world. The acting was exceptional and story was very believable. This film includes lots of powerful things like friendship, hatred, passion, hope, intelligence, cruelty, etc.
This film requires you to listen carefully to everything though and therefore good to watch when you're alone.
I was so amazed that I still sat there looking into one spot of the screen when the credits have finished.

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2006,  PG-13)
In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale
Considering I've heard of Uwe Boll's bad reputation I really enjoyed this film. At first it was going steady and seemed like an average adventure movie. However gradually throughout it gets better, with a number of good actors and amazing battle sequences. I especially enjoyed the big battle sequence in the woods somewhere 2/3rds into the movie.
The story was pretty good, though not too unique, but the little twist in the middle of the film was a good addition.
Jason Statham acts his usual self here, present in most of the action scenes and fighting and killing anyone on his way. Also enjoyed that Kristanna Loken played a small role here, didn't expect that at all.
Also loved the music score in this film. Definitely a beautiful music, though there were a couple of the scenes where the music didn't suit them.
Overall a nice fantasy adventure film with plenty of good actors, amazing action scenes and a not bad storyline. I definitely prefer it to Lord of the Rings films.
96
Meet The Fockers (2004,  PG-13)
97
Vantage Point (2008,  PG-13)
Vantage Point
At first I thought it would be a boring political thriller with a plot I wouldn't understand. However I still decided to risk it and to buy it on DVD, and the movie proved me to be so wrong before. It was actually action packed, suspenseful thriller with amazing ways of uncovering the plot and twists.

Like I said already, the suspense was probably the best thing about this film. The way they'd leave the plot on a cliffhanger and then switch to the next character's point of view, really helped the movie to build on a superb climax towards the end.

There was also some brilliant acting by most of the actors. I can't even say who did best, because they all did really well and for the most part had believable characters.

Although rewatching this movie could be not as interesting as the first time round, due to you already knowing all the plot, its great action still saves it and allows you to want to rewatch it.

A solid action thriller in my opinion and I definitely recommend it to anyone who feels like watching something suspenseful and to be glued to the screen for 1.5 hours.
98
Ultraviolet (2006,  PG-13)
Ultraviolet
I actually have enjoyed this much more than expected. The action and special effects was just pure eye candy, you can watch it over and over and to still enjoy it. On top of that it was very artistic with lots of perfectly selected colour combinations.
The plot was weak and not original, but that doesn't matter because the action and pure atmosphere of the film raise its rewatching value.
And of course the main heroine was very cool. This is the first time I actually found Mila Jovovich hot.
99
The Lost Boys (1987,  R)
The Lost Boys
First time I watched this film I was very young and loved it. I watched it again now and can see why I loved it so much. It's one of the best vampire films ever if not THE best. Brilliant storyline, acting and soundtrack. If you love vampire movies then you've got to see this.

    Really.

Now I know why we get along so well... We have almost the exact taste in movies. Okay, so I didn't like I Am Legend the first time I saw it, since I watched it right after Resident EVil Extinction, so the whole blasting zombies to smithereens hype was still with me, but hey, it's grown on me.

    Fantastic choice, I must say.
